You should look into getting a couple more of these cases. A horizontal scape would look amazing as a long table center piece. Also I think it would be really cool if you did one of these but incorporated a broken, decaying baseball bat. Have moss growing on the bat while plants grow out of cracks in it.

This is right in line with what I have envisioned for my Living Room Renovation!! Husband has given me a green light for turning one useless window (there is now a bedroom on the other side) into a Living Space for plants and mosses from our woods. What hubby doesn't know is that is going to be the focal point...and the Living walls will continue on through the room. This project is perfect! Thank you!!!

I'm sure you'll figure out a clever way to be able to water this thing and air it out as needed while making the process as simple as possible. I've noticed that most people are lazy when it comes to taking care of some things and if it becomes a tedious chore, then they won't do the necessary upkeep required to keep something like your living wall moss terrarium alive. I've watched a lot of your videos but this one is truly unique. Look forward to seeing what thing looks like a year from now.

Hey Tanner, just wanted to point out that technically what you are using to cut that spider wood are flush cutters, not wire cutters. If people are trying to get that type of tool it would be much harder to find it if they are searching for wire cutters which are substantially bulkier, and do not make a nice clean cut

I think this is my favorite of everything of yours I have seen so far...I want one of these for my office now. I am impressed you got that case for $6. Online they are like $90-125. Would the CFL overhead lights in the office be enough or would I need to supplement the lighting? I have a window, but there are a ton of trees outside so I don't get a lot of sunshine in it. In fact I run a blue grow light in the corner of my office a couple hours a day in the winter to help keep the circadian rhythms in sync. I know you grow your own moss, but are those available online? I don't see them often in the plant centers around me. Again, great job! LOVE this one.

You could use a toolbox (such as the one you used for your terraining tool kit) for your moss growing. Of course it has to be open when growing the moss, which may take up some space, but there are still small sections for starting out various moss colonies and a big section for developed colonies!

Hi all DIY terrarium builders. i recently was walking through a retail store that is going out of business
and they were selling EVERYTHING!!! and realized that the small acrylic boxes that they use for
holding small cheap items would make great terrariums. and they were dirt cheap too so if you ever
find a store that is going out of business you can grab some dirt cheap acrylic boxes to use for terrariums/vivariums!

Your builds are always so inspiring! Thank you for sharing your passion and talent so freely with us all here.
I've just moved from the Hudson Valley of NY to the hills north of San Francisco, where I've been eyeing up the gorgeous mosses and greenery growing during this rainy season (winter). Before the spring comes, I intend to get a bit of a moss propagation setup going, so that I can pinch a bit from nature that will seed my future efforts to make some nice terrariums in your style. I'm playing the long-ish game with this, so I intend to start with cultivating some mosses and springtails, then some roly poly bugs (Isopods), so that I have a bunch of the elements of a bioactive terrarium at hand when I figure out what the best plants are to use in this climate.
I appreciate everything you do, and have learned so much watching your videos.

This is amazing! I made my first terrarium because of you today. Now I want to make this! I'm already looking for an appropriate case. Not that I can accomplish anything of this level but at least I get the pleasure of doing it. Thank you for sharing your skills with us.

Wow!!! One of my favorite builds you've done. The ultimate repurpose project. I'm heading to the thrift stores tomorrow. I have an unused shadow box frame...just might start today using that! Thanks for your great videos and inspiration!
