This man was not only a good singer he was a comedy genius the likes of who we will never see again. He was a true legend who did what it said on the tin and much much more . He made us laugh until we cried. His tragic death in 2019 was a shocking end to one of our greatest entertainers ever. I hope the bstds that hastened his demise rot in hell. RIP Freddie we loved you.

We saw Freddie in Blackpool many years ago. I've allways liked the Guy aspesely on the Des O. Connor show Never missed it. I allways recorded the show. Sadly Des has left us he him self was a good entertainer ,
Anyway. Freddie Star was a star as far as im concerned, He was howndid by the press That last picture of him with is agent speaking for him . He allways had a smile on
his face But that last ? appearance on T.V over weight. "With respect " he was a broken man. He is now buried with his mother & at peace.

Probably because it's not that funny. Stereotyping minorities, etc, but not that funny. Society progresses, or would you still like to see dancing bears and child chimney sweeps. It's not being 'PC' to see this stuff as past its sell-by date. Why so defensive? Enjoy it if YOU find it funny.

@@davidsomerset there won't be anyone bleating on about PC in 50-100 years as we won't have grown up with stereotypically derogatory humour, so we won't have a nostalgia for the comedy of old, there's no point trying to argue with the older generations about it, they hate Germans, don't want too many foreigners in their street and think internet banking is dangerous, they have silly opinions like Brexit and speak fondly of years past, it's best to leave them too it, they'll be dead soon.
Then in 50 years I'll have a brief moan about how there's no one as good as Lee Evans or Peter Kay before I pop me clogs and all.

It is interesting that people have only started criticising Freddie's comedy since he got roped into the Jimmy Savile mess.
But there is only ONE allegation about Freddie - that he "molested" a 14-year-old girl (who may have looked MUCH older) on one of Savile's shows, in 1974.
So whilst Jimmy obviously WAS a monster - let us not be TOO quick to condemn Freddie until ALL the facts are in...
