Nice to see Gary Mason up there on stage towards the end, but always brings back sad memories of the way he passed. I met him once and he was a lovely man.

Used to have a VHS back in the 90s called Freddie Starr Ate My Video. Watched it God only knows how many times, it's possibly still the funniest thing I've ever seen. Did you know back in the very early Beatles days he was a singer in Liverpool,he had a fantastic voice and was invited to join the Beatles .But even back then he was pretty wild and unpredictable , so it did not happen .

Freddie Star was one of the many breath of fresh air comedians we had, and we had dozens, and all clean, inoffensive, people free to enjoy the most stupid things going.
