Those were the days when tears where streaming down our eyes # with stitches in our belly,s now 🙄 thank god for RUclips 2 bring back them Memories ? Legend of the 80s
Ive been a live performer since 1980..I took alot from the master....I remember the live @ the palladium where it all started....Freddie is a legend, & one of the very best elvis voices out there
Janet watching this video brings back memories my family and l loved watching Freddie star l can't believe he is no longer here he's very sadly missed rip Freddie
The lady in the beginning deserved a medal she put up with a lot of Freddie and that’s what made the show nice lady husband must be proud of her XXX💐💐💐💐
Saw him at Ceasers Palace Luton and he drenched the who front row when he slipped over with a jug of water. Obviously staged but everyone was in stitches.
A true genius especially with his tv work, his impressions was second to none his love for Elvis and the Jordanaires . From the Royal variety performance to Des O’Connor and his live performances. He was a master of comedy. Never again will there be anybody like him. The comedians today are shit. So wrongly accused and so sadly missed.
Sadder what this country did to him must have been awful to be funny and suddenly noti lived him in the 80s I was a teen and thought he was mad as a hatter
I saw him in Scarborough many years ago and he was amazing. Watching this just displays the depths that he sank to in later life. So sad to see such great entertainer become so crude and un watchable.
Saw Freddie in Bournemouth.I remember an elderly man became ill during the show and Freddie jumped off stage to see him.He will always be remembered and sadly missed
Remember these times, when we used to be able to laugh at ourselves, without worrying about some vindictive little twerp who would ruin your name, career and take everything you ever worked for away from you, because his or her feelings might be hurt.
Trouble is it wasn't a prank. This is what got him thrown off TV. It was a double lined Perspex box with live maggots on the outside section and rice on the inner. He was meant to throw the rice at the audience but threw the maggots instead. Plus after seeing him in a documentary made at his home in Spain showing the really nasty side of him, his entertaining was over. I'm sure he had his demons as often really super talented people did but he just took it too far and his attitude throughout the docu was just so poor.
@@philjoneshammersleyHe did to start off with but the female comedian got a load in her hair and that's what really got him banned from ever appearing on TV again. This is before the alledged sexual abuse towards his kids. Pity, he was excellent but the documentary on him really finished my admiration from him. Either he was always a nasty guy or stardome really got to him. He did however have a really tough childhood.
That man could get a corps to laugh Freddie you are still in our hearts and minds please don’t let them stop us laughing at ourselves or others it’s that horrible disgusting thing called humor and the Brit’s are world leader at this sort of thing ❤❤❤❤
Some moments seem good at first but the more you watch the worse it gets. Just using others really and getting away with whatever he wants for the stage.
I'm one of the sad liberal snowflakes and found it hilarious ... Your point? Seems to me your the only snowflake here complaining about so called snowflakes.
Yeah, the blackface bit has aged especially well, although I'm pretty sure it was still considered a cunt move back in the 80's or 90's or whenever he was popular. He counted Jimmy Saville as a friend as well, top bloke indeed!
@@bonzobanzi1137 at that time everybody’s kids (encouraged by parents) were writing to Saville asking him to fix stuff for them! Hindsight is a wonderful thing 🤔
Joost Kiefte this was his act off screen as well as many other TV comedians who are household names. This was a completely different time as well when comedy could be comedy and people laughed without being “offended”
@@ollie241189 Starr's antics with the lady were in bad taste then and they are in bad taste now. But yes, some people will always think this stuff is funny.
Agree. Do people here know *why* doing blackface is not a good idea? Freddie was hugely talented. It's a shame he was a misogynistic racist. I wouldn't ban him, I am for free speech. But he did perpetuate very harmful ideas. Racism is real. Homophobia is real. Misogyny is real. There's no need to perpetuate it. Peter Kay doesn't and he is one of the best comedians ever.
No one could ever surpass this amazing man. 😅😂😂❤. He’s mine!!!!!😂forever!

Absolutely loved Freddie, hit my funny bone always. Seriously talented. Incredible voice
Yes he was underrated as a singer. He he wasn't a brilliant comic, he could of made a living as an Elvis tribute.

Judging by the continual snorting I would say he was on the Colombian marching dust!!!!

A Great Entertainer RIP~Freddie
He was so unpredictable....you just didn't know what he was going to do next....😂😂😂😂
And neither did he, apparently....
Yes, it's brilliantly racy, but unlike some of the other comments, I don't think he crossed the line. His unpredictable nature was part of his appeal.

I do remember these times with fondness. All gone now from this grey boring world, thanks to the snowflakes!

NO Political correctness! these were the best times, no one took it seriously, just laughed our socks off!
Haa ha ha ha!! Those maggots & scared shitless people at 45:00 🤣🤣🤣 A very clever prank.

Apparently he knew that woman (can't remember her name) was petrified of maggots. That's why he did that bit.
That woman is gorgeous!
It’s Tina hobly the actress been in loads of tv and fir the snow flakes watching obv the show is staged they call them stooges
The lady with the bobbed hair, she IS part of the act. Still funny. ☺️

al Jolson you would never be allowed to do this on tv in 2022 lol but fuck was he funny good old Freddy
Imagine this kind of comedy in the shit wank times we live in now. Freddie Starr, I grew up with you and laughed every minute. Rip my man.
Some moments seem good at first but the more you watch the worse it gets. Just using others really and getting away with whatever he wants for the stage.
Freddie and Claire Rayner’s husband had a huge fight off camera apparently, re his Ray Charles skit.

I don't know any Al Jolsen songs lmao 😂 🤣 😆 😭

@John Smith... even when there wasn't anything funny about them...
Not anymore crude than a bunch of lads that are bevvied up town on a Saturday night.
