What a wonderful tribute by Jim Davidson who gets too much bad press when in fact is a lovely man that does loads for his fellow man from helping service men and women to the lifeboat crews and the like nice one Jim
Their friendship was a long one and very special to both of them. What an emotional and perfectly balanced tribute to his friend, I don't know how Jim kept it together there because I certainly didn't.

Well said, Jim. Love the closing section in particular, the butterfly analogy and the hope that one day we'll all see each other again. Very thought provoking.
While They Really Were a right pain in the arse tbh, I've had so many Near Death Experiences on the other side, thanks to bloody eye drops for Glaucoma, causing so much excess Sinus Fluid that I was Drowning in my Sleep Every night, I must admit, the other side is Fantastic ! So much so that I wanted to Stay, rather than face Drowning every bloody Night. Talk about Unexpected, but I'll try not to spoil the Wonderful Surprise, so I'll just mention one place I went to, best described perhaps as the - Outside The Box University - like a huge copy of the Empire State Building, though with a much bigger floor plan, and thousands of Floors. That place I really want to go back to. As an aside, I did finally get the Drowning in my Sleep Under Control. Cigars worked, but I can only face about two of them a year, but best are Manufactured cigarettes. Roll Ups too moist, and Vaping no good either. But about 10 a day seems to nail it. If they kill me a bit early ? Well I won't have to come back will I . No Rush though, as amazing things are set to start happening here, and must admit, it'd be nice to still be here for them. Love and Best Wishes to you All.❤ Bob in Wales. 👍✨️✨️✨️
I took my dad to see Jethro as he's a big fan but not one for going to shows. We stood near the bar before the show and Jethro started his walkabout. He came over to my dad to say hello. Now in his younger days dad worked with horses and Jethro had horses, so dad asked him about his horses Well I think Jethro must have been pleasantly surprised and they stood there for ten minutes chatting about horses. Made dads night.
18 years ago, I was doing my work experience at a local Theatre; 14 years old (already being brought up on Chas and Dave, Tommy Cooper and Jethro). After rigging some lights for him, and he walked on stage. I started coiling up some cables. "You're not having him are ya?" "It's like this!". Now a fully fledged Head Technician, I'll always remember the day I was scolded by Jethro. Every cable I coil and every light I rig. Thank you Jethro, it was my my honor to screw up in front of you.
R.I.P dear Jethro you are one of the funniest comedians ever I have had tears of laughter time and time again watching you, I am sure you will have them all laughing in heaven for years to come. legends are never forgotten and you are a legend. enjoy your rest.
Jethro turned up in our pub one Sunday evening on his way home. He only wanted to spend a penny but stayed for several hours . I laugh3d and cried till my belly ached ❤
Lovely. Saw Jethro at Anne’s estate young farmers event, and glad I did. Jim is another special man; sidelines and undervalued by todays media but still a diamond in our hearts.
An absolutely amazing comic. You probably get his humour more if you come from a small town/village. I was lucky enough to see Jethro twice. Thanks for all the laughs. Sleep well.

Jim’s a grounded soul and he would be a great bloke to have a drink with, he holds and audience so well, and does a great jethro impression, mind you he would, he’s been around him for 40 years, great piece Jim
You can tell Jim spent so much time with Jethro, if you close your eyes when Jim does his voice you would think it was the real Jethro. God bless both.
That's absolutely beautiful, what a tribute to a really dear friend. I don't know why the British have turned against Jim, he seems to me to be a lovely bloke with a big heart.
Endless love Jethro. I worked two nights with him in the late 80s in a small village hall. I'd never heard of him. After those two nights, I never forgot him. Love ya. ❤
I went to see Jethro with my family and friends year ago in my local town, I liked his daft clean humour but not the other kind, same with all comedians really even those I know, however seeing this tribute has altered my opinion of Jim Davidson somewhat as he embarrassed me a couple times when I went to see Berni Flint years ago but I guess as we're all older now time to forgive and forget, to be fair Jim did apologise to me afterwards. What he said in this wouldn't be surprised that was what Berni got paid and all! I can tell Jim is very sincere and genuine in this tribute speech - Bless! We all live on whenever we are remembered or needed by those who love us after we pass - thank you Jim and RIP Jethro especially for getting the west country accent on the map. ❤🐇
Not only was this a truly emotional, heartfelt reflection on how well liked Jethro was (and always will be) I also appreciate how well Jim Davidson comes across. I don't understand why he is so strongly disliked by some people. Rest in peace Jethro.
I knew Jethro myself and he was a lovely man. He was giving me a lift home in the Land Cruiser, I lived in Camborne, and I asked him how did he get the idea for the Camborne Train joke? He said he didnt really know it just rolled off the tongue, he also added that he had never even been to Camborne station and yet he dined out on that joke for years and years!!! I asked him to throw me out at Tescos as we approached Camborne and he just laughed and laughed, he thought that was really funny....I actually meant it!!!! That's the thing about Jethro's jokes they are based on real life situations. He is a story teller, the best. He is greatly missed . Nice Tribute from Jim.
