Youre very lucky bud. Probably the best area of Minnesota with a nice cabin and family. I've been in your vicinity a few times and have struggled with fishing. But of course I always seem to hit the one 90 deg stretch up there in summer. I really enjoy the fall deer hunting videos, my favorite time of year.
Appreciate the comment! Yeah fishing can be tough at times. The bass never seem to quit biting and offer a lot of fun but finding walleyes can be challenging. I wish the DNR would consider adding crappies to these lakes. All of the surrounding lakes have black crappie and they seem to do well even with large walleye populations. Fall is my favorite time of year up here. Deer can certainly fluctuate with their populations but grouse numbers are up and duck hunting has been good at times. Just hoping for some early springs and mild winters to increase the deer population. The wolves take their fare share of deer but we have seen that if you get a mild winter or a few in a row it can really help the population.
