You can absolutely tell you loved your grandfather rightfully so what a great great man he must’ve been God bless you, Kevin. Your videos are just absolutely the best.
Kip, my grandpa farmed I don’t know how many years but I never got tired of he’s stories when he passed if he would have made it 3 1/2 months he would’ve been 102 just love farm history that’s why I watch you tube
Great stories about the family history. I grew up on a farm about the same size. Grandfather was a registered holstien breeder. He passed when was 11. Dad took over the farm (1976) and we farmed it til 1992. Dad passed in 2000 at 55 years old. I feel ya on all of this and I can see and hear that in your face and voice. Farming taught me so much and set my work ethnic. I see that in you and your farm operations
Kip, this video is probably one of your best looking back on the history of the farm and you’re grandfather. You can tell you learn a lot from him and it’s just unreal. The history that you know about don’t get no better than that God bless you.
Great stories, love hearing about grampa. When my mom got older and I would tell her “god you’re stubborn” her answer was “that’s why I’ve lived this long” She was a tough old farm girl!
You explain in the history of your farm is absolutely awesome. There’s nothing better than knowing what this farm is all about. God bless you kept because it’s doesn’t get any better.
Amen it's act of GOD KIP WHEN you start thanking and praisein the LORD and SAVIOR JESUS for everything in your life you will be surprised the blessings come your way it has nothing to do with luck LET'S GO
I know that silos are just about gone today because they are dangerous and obsolete but when i was a kid i helped my uncles fill silo. That was always my favorite job to do on the farm i enjoyed doing that
One of your best videos today. Never had much interaction with my grandpa . One died the year i was born and the other lived a thousand miles away. Great memories you have that no one can take away. Stay safe this harvest !!!😊
Kip Love hearing those stories of Grandpa and history of the Farm. Brings back some good memories here also. Milk house windows . Same ones here. Never thought of it before but yea must have been the window to use. Stay safe and gonna enjoy the cooler weather.
You guys are advancing, but not to quick, slow and steady wins the race! ( It's obvious you guys have secured land over the years!) One step at a time!!... Keep up the great work kip.. and to all of your family aswell!!👍👍👍👍!!
Kip , could you do a short story , with pictures from grandparents to current day , amazing family , great decision 's to grow in the future , you boys know what is ahead , hard work , outstanding milking dairy , what a future story for American , thank you , you all made it happen , Pride at its best , let's go !
Great story ! My family homesteaded in Ne around 1886 and I went to knox as a cav scout in 2000 did 23 years tried farming a few times. Farm is still going with my cousin. I really appreciate your stories about the history!
Thanks for another great video Kip. Was a wonderful video. Was extremely interesting and informative and enjoyable to watch for sure. Can tell you were close to your grandfather and the farm operation. That was good for you and him thru the years. Very nice to have that kind of connection through the years. Your farming background obviously came from him. I thought your talk about your grandfather was from the heart and gives you the connection you have today with the farm operation. Very nice talk Kip!!!!!!!!! I thought it was wonderful!!!!!!!! You had lots of wind filling that silo. Wow. Didn’t make for the easiest of days. Thanks for everything today. Really enjoyed your talk. You take care. Be safe. The Iowa farm boy. Steve 😊👍✅🙏🙏🇺🇸🇺🇸
Hey Kip My sometime you could get a still picture to share of you with your brothers and Dad. We see them working, but never a good shot of them with you. Just a thought? Love watching the videos keep them coming.
I really enjoyed hearing about your family and your family life! It’s clear you had some influential family members that have guided and shaped your life. Some may call that ‘lucky’ but my experience has shown me that good parents and family members are key so many times to the way people turn out. Those lessons we learn as a kid stay with us and offer a road map to a successful and happy life. I know losing your Mother was difficult but it’s easy to see she’s still there helping to guide your life today because of what she taught your family when you were growing up, just as you are today with your children! God Bless!
So me and my wife just brought my grandparents place. 40 acres which it was a 80 acres piece anyways my mom just brought me all the deeds and tax information. Its dates back to 1880 however my grandpa bought the property from his dad in 1952. Thanks again great videos. Corn is dry all over we just finished chopping and covered it Saturday.
My father was a very humble farmer just like you are. and your father and his father before him. I love to hear the stories about him. I would love to hear you tell about your farm equipment when you were a boy and how it was used.
I really think you guys should Go to bunker systems if your ever able to. Way less work than bags. Bags do make really good feed tho if they never get any holes in them they never get any rotten feed super nice. But bunkers for the amount of feed you guys make would make life so much easier. Way less plastic waste to throw out to. That’s what I always hated about bags was the amount of garbage to always get rid of
What do you use the small grain bin at the main farm for I was guessing your soybeans you feed the milking cows and I always enjoy the history of the family farm
Not to mention the cost of the hoof trimmer , let them roam natural, 😊😊 I don't know about you but I hate walking on concrete, best of luck, divided in high and low groups slow and fast cow's however you say it , old group high group Springers , how do I divide into three groups high low and freshen, let them roam. PASTURE
Kip i had a white hfr like your girl there, pink nose, pink around eyes, all white apart from a few black spots on her- look very similar, she was a pet, no idea why, just wanted attention. I used to put a halter on her, walk her around no problem. I called her pinky- she used to love chicolate, i could stand by the cubicle shed gate, shout pinky, rustle a chocolate wrapper and shed appear every time. Odd how you get the odd cow like that. She was a special cow.

Just curious, what was your MOS in the Military?
Kip, unfortunately as the generations go on l, there seems to be less and less men that are of the same caliber as our grandpa's were.
