God is myth. If he were real, you wouldn't be on the internet asking strangers for their prayers. You are your
lord and master. You can itemize your issues, research ideas for making things better, and then do those things.
If you have access to RUclips, you have access to internet research tools. There are so many ideas for calming, dealing with anxiety, being able to sleep, etc. Maybe you'll end up with a different version of things you used to do. No big deal. If you nap instead of straight sleep, it's still rest. teeth and gums. Brush well and regularly and get a good mouthwash. One with chlorhexedine will help to clear and heal gums. It is prescription only. Meanwhile, get
a no-alcohol antiseptic mouthwash. Swish at least 30 seconds. After eating, if you can't brush right away, drink water, swish and swallow. Do this a few times to rinse food from your teeth and gums. There are solutions.
However, reliance on a non-existent super being will not do it. This is YOU. And, YOU CAN DO IT.

I am pretty familiar with propranolol. It was prescribed to me a few years back. I am no longer taking it. Quick story: I discovered palpitations around 2006. They came out of nowhere after I had my very first and a really massive panic attack. It was like nothing that I had ever experienced in my whole life. ‘Doom’ doesn’t even come close to describing what I felt. From there, I regularly experienced rapid heart beats and even fluttering of the heart. Sometimes it would feel like my chest was caving in on me. The journey was extremely long, hard, and lonely. And I’ve had more ECG’s, echos and chest X-rays performed on me than I can even count, and I’m a finance professional. Today, once in a while I get rapid heart beats and fluttering. So, I can empathize with anyone who may be experiencing it, and I’m so, so sorry. Hopefully, you have family to help you cope and heal while you receive treatment and advice from a doctor. Unfortunately for me, my family was not supportive, but then again, they never were. Take care and please be well! ❤️

Dear Erik, I have been using Propranolol in low dosage (10-20mg) to help with performance anxiety (spiking heart rate and weak voice) when doing big presentations or interviews. I use it very sparingly, perhaps once every couple months or less, depending on what's happening in life. My question - should I be using it, or should I be working through that anxiety as it seems natural for most people? What causes anxiety for me is the increased heart rate, so preventing that allows me to perform at my best and reach my full potential - BUT I don't want to be totally reliant on it and would rather not need it. I am working on this, but it requires deep internal work.

@@shelbyboury3874 it won’t stop your heart. I was a cardiac nurse for years. It could make it go too slow or drop your blood pressure...but that’s why they start you on a low dose.
Secondly, your worry and anxiety are more dangerous to your health, than most of what you worry about. Isn’t that ironic. You create more havoc with worry than the things you worry about.
My heart goes out to you, because I’m a reformed worrier. I still worry, but not like I did.
This is not meant to be cliche...mindfulness is one of the most powerful tools. It helps you to use your mind to control your thoughts vs your thoughts controlling you. Big difference.
Often, healing from core wounds, subconscious programming (often develop in childhood) can help reset the autopilot internal dialogue, that creates a gerbil wheel of “what ifs” and the anxiety provoking things.
Deep breathing is so, so, so important. People downplay it sometimes, but the top doctors and psychologists, counselors, know its power. With some deep breathing exercises I was able to get a lady to calm down, who was starting to have a panic attack about a shot I needed to give her in her stomach.
It calmed her down and she asked “why has no one ever taught that to me?”
She didn’t even feel the shot.
The right deep breathing helps to activate your parasympathetic nervous system, the chill side, the opposite of the fight/flight/freeze (the sympathetic nervous system). Both can’t be activated at once. So, if you trick the calm side to be “on”, the anxious side mellows out.
That’s why yoga can help too. The breathing is what gets the brain to calm, to be in a mindful space. Yoga with Adrienne, was recommended by my DO, and she is awesome. Free incredible yoga on RUclips! It’s helped me too.
Also, The Personal Development School, RUclips channel, has helped me so much. I’ve done a lot of healing of my fearful avoidant attachment style. I’m way less anxious, as I’ve changed the thinking patterns that triggered the anxiety.
Check out her video on anxiety for starters.
I had a period of 1-2 weeks of complete peace, no fear, no anxiety, after watching her videos and listening to Eckhart Tolle.
      That powerful.
You deserve that. Staying in the trap of worry and anxiety is a prison. I promise you can free yourself.
      Sending light and love 💫

My new doc gave me this to slow down my heart rate, and work along with post partum thyroditis hyperthyroidism beta blockers. All I can say is I wish I’ve gotten this years of not decades ago. I lived with life long tachycardia. I can drive properly now. So grateful. I am cautious of the side effects, I’ll be making a video about this on my channel. I think it’s so important to tell about things that actually help us. Gain weight from this is real tho. It just is. My first month on this and it’s the best month in many many years. Grateful 🌸🌸🌸

I've taken these before and still have them, they make me feel a bit like a zombie at 10mg. It has put me off taking them. Is this something that passes once you get used to it as I couldn't keep feeling like that?

Doctors gave me this for anxiety. I domt want to take it. My anxiety is social anxiety and severe stress in my body that causes chest pain. Im not sweating or having a racing heart. I have chronic stress. Doctors cant seem to understand why i dont want to take propranolol. They think generally and not for my individual situation. I tried to explain my life would be better if i could actually be around people and i know for that i need something that works like alcohol that actually relaxes me, like benzos or codeine

My doctors prescribed Propranolol for my anxiety, but......she asked I take 1 tablet 4 times a day (10mg). After the black box warning, isn't what she is prescribing a bit too elevated?
