    I have commented on your channel before. You are legit. Your digs and finds are a fair representation to my time on the beach. I bought a 540 based on your videos so I can have a wet sand detector. The fun is real. My first wet sand find was a cross ring July 5th. Happy hunting.

    I like your realism and factual convos. It helps newbies know that you are not necessarily going to knock it out of the park every day and there are good and slow days. Keep up the good work.

    My son and I started our metal detecting hobby with the Vanquish 340 and 540 and the only issue I had is that they are not waterproof. We are basically beach hunters but have been through a few parks and farm areas with pretty good success.
    I purchased a Xterra Pro a few months back for our beach surf hunts and we are very happy with its performance so far. My son uses the 540 now and its keeps it away from getting splashed, the xterra is fine getting splashed and even submerged. Our 340 is now for family who may want to join us on the beach or for the little cousins checking the yard

      Nokta first swing is completely waterproof and has a built in pinpoint. 100 dollars. Only downfall for some is that it does not accept headphones.

    Awesome video for sure man this is going to help me a lot with some of the issues I have been having with the 540 maybe next video could b about setting discrimination of undesirable items in trashy areas like nails and maybe even pull tabs or other iron items thank again for this video for real!!!

      Bro.. I wouldnt worry to much about the descrimation adjustments... some low readings can be something amazing..lol..just dig it all up..Haaa.. 🤠

    • @ianwilkinson3425
      @ianwilkinson3425 Год назад +1

      If you go through his older episodes you'll see lot's of vanquish discriminating and settings videos. They're probably what yr looking for, super helpful . 👍👍

    • @TreasureOutdoors
      @TreasureOutdoors  Год назад +1

      I say dig most signals at first to get used to what's under the ground then you can kind of mentally discriminate if that makes sense? You'll go over a signal that you know almost for sure what it is and you can decide if you want to dig it or not.. only problem is pull tabs come in many shapes & sizes... but so does gold! 🤠👍

    • @Bootyhunter1971
      @Bootyhunter1971 Год назад

      This machine is so easy, just use your eyes and ears to discriminate. If its below -1 dont dig, -1 to 9 could be gold so dont discount those low numbers. Alot will be small bits of foil, but you have to dig alot of that 💩 to get the gold!

    Did my first beach detecting yesterday with a 540, 12inch coil, kept getting deep signals pucking up iron ore, only 1 ring pull but also one ring. Just over 5grams, silverlooking with dragon scales and what looks like yellow metal in-between the scales with a large zirc on front, but no hallmark so will get it tested. But overall i think i need to practice more with signals. Do you recommend i use the 8 inch coil at the beach rather than 12? Also the ring is not magnetic so I suppose it's a good sign 😅

    Vanquish or Xterra, which do you like more as far as ergonomics, general performance, id stability etc. Ps, souvenir pennies are AWESOME! I found one from the 1939 New York Worlds fair once at a sidewalk tear out.

    • @TreasureOutdoors
      @TreasureOutdoors  Год назад +1

      Hmmmm... I really think the Vanquish might take ID stability & general performance for me. It's very simple & I've personally never had any problems with it.. that being said I'm still getting used to the X-Terra & I think you get more overall with the XTerra when it comes to settings, tones & of course it being waterproof & rechargable... it feels built better but I really think Vanquish for me shines at the beach in the wet sand. Both good machines in different ways 👍 Love those flattened pennies! :)

      @@TreasureOutdoors Yeah Ive owned the Equinox 800 since it came out, and picked up the 540 pro pack when it came out as a backup to it. Its an amazing detector, basically a non waterproof equinox (lol) with a better pinpointing system than the Equinox. Same target id's and tones. Its a brilliant machine for the price. The Xterra Pro looks nice too. Minelab makes some killer machines!

    I really want to buy a multifrequency detector and I was thinking about the vanquish 440, but I wouldn't be able to go inside the water with it, would I?

    • @TreasureOutdoors
      @TreasureOutdoors  Год назад +2

      The control box can NOT get wet but you can put the coil underwater 👍 Just a little risky because you don't want to drop the whole thing in the water of course!
