Thank you man! I sometimes see the Vanquish as the "baby equinox" I've never used a nox before but I think the vanquish is doing pretty good for the price, especially since I got it used at half retail! Appreciate you stopping by for my first gold on the beach! Hopefully more to come, either way the weather has been beautiful over here so it's a good day no matter what! Good luck out there!!

Thanks bro! Shame I didn't get it live recorded but the thing sounded just like a piece of foil. I can only imagine what that little piece rings up on the simplex I'm interested in seeing I would assume like 8-12 on VDI. Gotta pull that foil for the tiny gold! A shame but it's part o the game! Plus more incentive to clean up our beloved mother nature 👍

Love watching your videos and your enthusiasm. My nox 900 should get delivered today! Cant wait. I used to swing a vanquish 540 that I did really well with but got out of the hobby for a few years.

Where I live have to use a prospectors pick to even break the surface. The oldest object found so far dated back to 1830-1905. Few and far between, but still fun. Gave me something to do in my old age (79) soon to be 80. Great to watch your videos and learning a lot as this is new to me.

I used to live in Florida, I was super into detecting back then. I went all over that state, but mostly hit the beaches, I was in Jacksonville beach area. I used to get mad if I would go out and if I came home with anything less than $5.00 in change it was a bad day!! Keep up the videos!! Side note: Don't EVER move to Oregon, the beaches here are terrible, although, I will be out there tomorrow at low tide in the AM, it will be 27 degrees and windy, had a HUGE storm blow through the last couple of days, still hooked I guess!! Swing on!!

Dolphins used to scare us on purpose when swimming in the murky Gulf water at Louisiana beaches. 😅

Hey Listen, I really like your channel, but really need your advice on which Metal detector to get given your experience. I'm seriously considering the Minelab 440, but am torn by the Nokta simplex lite. I saw you detect with both, and the only reason I'm leaning towards the Minelab is the fact that the Nokta simplex is a rechargeable (non replaceable) battery, HOWEVER the Nokta IS 100% waterproof. Please help me by filling me in on which you prefer as far as overall detection goes, Which to you feel is better? Anyone reading my comment, please don't just thumbs up, chime in and give me your opinions. I really would appreciate all the info I can get.

They are both good, you hit on good points already so it's a little bit based on your needs / wants too.
I think Vanquish is stronger in clean ground and at the beach on wet sand, Simplex lite out of the box IMO is better for hunting shallow targets in heavy trash in a park or maybe iron infested environment.
They are both good machines and there is no wrong choice, just about what you want. :)
I know the Nokta machines make an external battery so that might help with your worries...
I just found this online too which looks like it might solve your problem with the Simplex Lite -
      "Nokta Waterproof Battery Pod (4XAA)"
Didn't even know that thing existed!
If you do end up going with that make sure to get the one designed for the Simplex machines.
      Good luck!

I cannot believe the depth I’m getting with the 440 and how small the objects like charms off a broken bracelet

Right now I have been using the XP mi-4 but also like the "Garrett Pro-pointer AT". They are a little pricey but have worked well.

If you have the extra money go with the 540 but I think the 440 works great too! ( si tiene el dinero, obtenga el 540, ¡pero el 440 también funciona muy bien! )

What is the white pole you are using for the scoop? I need to replace the wooden one on mine.

    • @TreasureOutdoors
      @TreasureOutdoors  3 года назад +2

It's actually just a piece of PVC pipe, the only issue is it isn't quite stiff enough it would likely work much better if there was something to strengthen it in the middle maybe a dowel rod or some sort of metal. I was thinking maybe even filling it with some expansion foam. 👍
