    A ring is a ring ! At~8 minutes, you are right. ‘Sometimes it’s not the product, it’s the process.’- Me. Just getting outside swinging the metal detector it may not be the target your want but you discover or ‘find’ things about yourself that might take a decade or more without the time for self reflection. Great job on the beach. I’m headed to a Texas beach for July 4th weekend to hopefully slay that sand. Happy Hunting.

      I love my Vanquish also. I find surprisingly small targets pretty deep and I find coins probably deeper than I really want to dig 😂
      I consider it a really good buy.

    I dig your positive attitude man! I enjoy watching your videos with the Vanquish, because I like to try to guess what your targets are. I have a 540, so it is similar for me. I may as well have gotten the 440 though. I didn't like the large, stock coil it came with and ended up buying the 8" one. I hate watching you skip the 1 targets, but i understand they're a pain sometimes. I skip them in parks where I don't want to destroy the grass for foil bits, but pretty sure I would check them out in sand. The ground is frozen solid here, so thank you for scratching the itch for me til spring.

    Hey Austin, you mentioned rusty balls. Please don't do that, I'm 70 and it hits too close to home 😂
    I've been doing a bit of notch testing with my 540. I think I like notching out 14-19
    and anything below 3. It's so much quieter and I've never found a good target from 14-19...plus, I'll never know if I miss something or not 😂 but it's so much quieter, even with sensitivity high.
    Again, thanks for the videos...

      I like the way you think! Whatever you think feels the most comfortable while detecting is definitely the way to go! sometimes it can get very overwhelming with all the different signals and numbers... hope it treats you awesome out there!

      @terrymcclintic3379 2 года назад +1

      @@TreasureOutdoors any day I'm metal detecting is treating me awesome. It sure isn't the dollar value of any finds...if someone I know likes a find I generally give it to them. I just find metal detecting so relaxing that it's the real reward for me. Even just watching metal detecting you do is relaxing. It's nice to be able to separate relaxation from putting a dollar value on it... But finding silver and gold is always a big rush even though I don't plan on selling any of it.
      Be safe and well and thanks for your videos, Austin.

    Hi from Ohio. I first want to say I like your beach hunts with the Vanquish. I recently got one for Christmas and being very new to Detecting (less then a year) your videos are helping me figure out the number and what to dig better. I wanted to ask you if you prefer the smaller 8" coil compared to the 12"? I know that I am able to find things easier with my 8"coil. Thanks again for your videos.

    I still need to buy the 440 I myself have the 340 and 540.. But I Honestly think the 440 is the best out of all 3 from what I have seen on youtube. But I do like the 540 with the 8inch coil on it. They do hit deep and for the money you can not go wrong.. Nice little beach hunt.. See you on your next adventure

      @@nz540im3 I would say no you would not be wrong. I like the Vanquish series. If you Get the 340 If I remember right you need to buy a skid plate for the coil .The 440 has just a bit more options. And If I could I would buy a 440.

    • @nz540im3
      @nz540im3 Год назад +1

      @@ohdannyboyjustadiggin yes I did just see in a more recent video or forum that a 340 doesn’t have a skid plate. Guessing that could be detrimental if I end up dragging the thing too often haha

    • @ohdannyboyjustadiggin
      @ohdannyboyjustadiggin Год назад

      @@nz540im3 All preference I guess. Some people detect the beach with out a skid plate so sand does not get trapped in between the coil and plate. Makes it heavier to swing ..But if you are starting out and want to get into the hobby for the price of the 340 in my opinion it is a good detector .

      Honestly yes, it's between this one and the Nokta simplex for me. Both similar in price but each offer a few unique features you may want to look into, the simplex is a completely waterproof machine which is really cool but honestly I find the vanquish does a little bit better on the wet sand at the beach.. they both definitely have their strengths and weaknesses! Thanks Chris!

      @@Sharky142 I love my Vanquish. It detects just as deep as about any of them, I think. I wish it was completely waterproof like the simplex but the coil is and that's ok for my use. The Vanquish is great around saltwater because it's multi frequency pulse induction which outperforms VLF in wet conditions.

    Newbie here, just got the Vanguish for my birthday. Can you please tell me what the numbers signify? I can't find anything to tell me what they are 😢 . I'm in Oregon as well. My grandaughter is 8 and wants to be a Goonie 😂

    • @TreasureOutdoors
      @TreasureOutdoors  Год назад

      The numbers can mean many things.. they usually can give you a general idea of what could be under the hole. Once you get familiar with coins for example, you should be able to identify most coins before you dig them up.. but it's not as easy when it comes to gold & jewelry. A lot of jewelry will be random numbers, they are pretty much a combination of the conductivity, shape & size of something.
