  • Here I'm comparing the Corsair 5000 Airflow RGB with the NZXT H7 Flow RGB. These are two interesting RGB cases with a focus on airflow. They're quite a bit different and so I thought it might be fun to show the differences between them.

I got the H7 for my build because it’d been many many years since i built pc. Their ecosystem of parts made it easy for me to jump back in. Now i’m feel more confident to branch out. I really like that corsair case with all of its options. Nice to see manufacturers stepping outside of the box like that.

I currently have the 5000D and it is a good case, it has a lot of space and the truth is that it is very easy to clean it and put as many fans as you want, but the only reason I ended up opting for Corsair and not for the H7 Flow from NZXT is for the pwm adapter, although my board has connectors for the pwm it only has 3 and instead I have 6 ml elite fans so it was crucial for me. I just have to add that the only awkward thing about the 5000D is the part where I put the 24-pin cable and the sata since you have to remove that side cover to better manage that cable ... it is somewhat tedious to unscrew the fan cover and then sscar just finished the end cap for that, something that I see in the h7 flow as more practical and simple in cable management, for the rest, excellent cabinet, good construction materials and better air flow, in Peru I bought it for 186 dollars in Compared to the 200 dollars that I was going to pay for nzxt that I had to import it paying taxes included, it came out a little more. Good video 👌.

Both good cases, however, there's a significant price difference between them. H7 Flow seems to be the best bang for the buck between the two and temps will be more than fine. Swap those fans with an Arctic P14 PWM kit and you'll get even better results and still pay less than what the 5000D costs.

I recently built a PC in the Corsair 5000D RGB (using your video as a guide because my case didn't come with a manual!) It's a great looking case with lots of airflow, but there are some cons. I found the extra back door wasn't really necessary as I couldn't close it anyhow due to all the cable and hub clutter. Case manufacturers could stand to make the cases a little wider to accommodate cables. Because there were fan and RGB hubs pre-mounted, there wasn't a good place to put the iCUE Commander Core that came with the AIO I got. (I wanted my SSDs in the back of the case.) It would also be nice to be able to move the top AIO radiator more toward the front side panel to allow more clearance for the CPU power cables. I wasn't able to put all three AIO fans inside the case because of the CPU 8-pin connectors being in the way, so it's good that you can mount the top fans outside the case.

RGB gets 4 RGB fans and an RGB controller. Flow gets two non-RGB fans only. Nothing else different. If you want RGB on your build you are better off buying the flow case and then swapping in your own fans in my opinion.

👍Firstly, thanks for the excellent video; I'm on the fence with these two cases, but, especially after watching this video, I've decided to go with the H7 as it has everything I'm looking for and is half the price of the 5K, too. Plus, I can't seem to find a non-RGB version of it, either, and I utterly detest RGB for the most part (unless tastefully and sparingly done). I think illumination of that kind should stay where it belongs... in Blackpool! 😆
