Just completed migration of my hardware to this case yesterday. I added two fans more (now I have 9) and I cannot fathom how noisy a build of 12 could be. But I'm in love with the case anyway. Great Great video man.

Just did a 7900xtx/7800x3d build in this case and it's fantastic. I bought like 3 extra fans and tried to minimize dust since my room gets a ton but the case does a fantastic job keeping dust out. It's just really big as well lol

Great video, I recently built with the 5000D RGB version (so the same, just with more included fans and control node from Corsair) and you covered everything nicely. I almost got the 4000D RGB but I'm so glad I got this one as there is that extra bit of space in this case. I have no trouble recommending this case to others.

Honestly if they made one with bottom intake I'd upgrade instantly. Still one of the best cases out there.

Building a new 5000D PC yesterday. Stylish design, Nice airflow and easy install of components.
A broblem is the space over the mother board. I bougth Arctic liquid freezer III and the radiator and fans dosnt fit over the mother board (Asus Rog Strix Z790-E Gaming II)
Just 5 mm more space had been enought.
Solved by mounting the radiator fans outside the case (pull-airflow). The fans fit under the top panel and I mount the magnetic filter on the top panel inside.
The fans (white blades) is almost invisable from above.
This is also a option even if the fan+radioator fits if you like to hide the fans.
Ah, that's not a case design fault. The Arctic coolers are not a standard thickness, the 5000D is designed to take a standard 28mm rad with 25mm fans.
What about Asus ROG Strix b650 because thought about mounting the AiO to the top?
With a standard AIO that'll be fine

Is there an upgrade coming to this case? I have my 750D for like 10 years now and I want to build a second PC, this one looks a lot similar, but as the title says, it's 2024, maybe some new type incoming soon?
I honestly have no idea. The latest releases have been focused on the back to front board or dual chamber style. Would be nice to get a new one though, especially with the new icue link as that's so much easier
Corsair makes a 7000D now. It’s about two feet tall (60cm) and weighs 45 pounds (20.7kg) but it’s amazing. I replaced my Fractal Design case from years ago and I foresee using the 7000D for at least the next decade.
8:49 i had this exact problem, installed a MSI Tomahawk B650 and went to put in an Arctic Freezer III 360mm, the fans overhang over the mobo and block the cpu power sockets so i had to front mount the AIO
Yeah, Arctic don't use a standard thickness rad on the Freezer AIO's.
If You use a cpu water cooler for that case, Where would u place it and the other fans? Ima buy the rgb version of the 5000d airflow?
I always use the roof if possible, so the other fans can stay where they're already installed.

@@jordanash a bit diffrent question, what motherboard would u recomend for the rog strix 4090 and ryzen 9 7950x3d, im asking cause the motherboard im thinking on right now is nearly 450 dollars (Gigabyte X670E AORUS MASTER) and prices in denmark is expensive so its probably a place where i can save
To be fair with parts that high I'd want to pair it with a board like that. Tbh, other than the Asus Corsshair Hero that's the one I'd get.
I'm stuck between this and the nzxt h9 flow. I already have the 4000d and I really love the look of it so I cant decide if I want this bigger version of the 4000d or the h9 flow. What's your opinion?
Oh that's a tough one, they're very different. The H9 is a big boy but easy to build in much like the 5000D. I think if you're using a lot of RGB the H9 is the one to do for, as it's more of a showcase over the 5000D.
Would you recommend removing these stock fans or should I save my money? Are they loud at 500 rpm?
I'd get the one with the fans, they're good quality and move a good amount of air. Not at all, doubt you'd hear them at 500.
@@jordanash Thanks for the reply. I asked because alot of people remove the stock fans on 4000D/5000D. I have never seen them tested for performance or noise. I was only concerned about the rear stock fan because the problem is it's 120mm. I have two 140mm from bequiet but i cannot use a 140mm in the rear. huge issue from Corsair's side. If you believe the stock fans are fine, I will be more than happy to keep the 120mm are a rear exhaust. Saves 21 dollars lol

What is the Graphics Holder you're using?
It's one that comes with Asus GPUs. I didn't *need* it, but I was a bit OCD about it being perfectly straight.

I had a cheap case and an expensive case and it seems that on expensive cases the IO panel is much easier to install. Maybe because the metal on the expensive case is thicker?
Yeah I'd agree with that, the Kolink case I reviewed recently it was a bit of a faf, but this was much easier.

The USB on top is a big no no. Usb wire pulling on the usb connectors looks ugly
To be fair my first PC I used for ten years with top USB ports and they didn't get damaged, they just don't look the best.

As it's a smaller motherboard but this is a big case.
Why benchmarkers don't test the cases with all the fan slots filled? I'm not gonna buy this case and only have 2 fans
I test the case as it comes, otherwise if I filled all the spaces we'd get different results as different cases take different amounts of fans. As I covered in the video, this 5000D gives very good results in comparison to my 4000X which has three fans, so it's not always about the number anyway.
@@jordanash It would be cool to see a benchmark of a 4000d fully fanned vs a 5000d fully fanned. The benefit of the 5000d for me is the 3 extra side intakes, so it would be interesting
I would do either front *or* side, not both. I've seen people putting both before and it doesn't have a benefit as they're fighting each other.
If the feet are still weak weak plastic it's not worth it. I had 450D After some years it will fail, and pc just slamming into the desk is not nice. If they use the same plastic panel it too might crack at the hooks, and the mechanism that makes it pop in and out will fail too.
Heav load on weak plastic does not make any sense, feet have to be metal.
I fixed my old pc with a demo case it was a Fractal R6, all metal. It was chepa too, only had a few screws missing. 👌 My new pc also uses this case, it's quieter.
The 450D was a BEAST, loved that case!
But was poorly constructed. To me it looks like they still use the silly design. strange choice from a structural point and load capacity, fatigue life. Front panel frame is the feet at the front. if it was just a frame attached to the case and separate feet that would be different as on Fractal, as it's not load bearing. Also plastic feet at the back will fail. bad idea. That's the ones that failed first, but that's where the PSU is so heavier load. Later the plastic front panel frame/feet thing failed on the left side at the attachement separating it, so if I continued using the case I think the pc might have slammed into the desk or the plastic frame would separate until it came off with the metal case part going into the desk. @@jordanash
Fractal is a much better value, it has a much better construction, but I will see how it holds up. And the price being similar that's a no brainer, of course it's made to be quieter, but you can take the door off, and cover at the top. The demo unit I got for the repaired pc IO got for half off I think. @@jordanash
I've not heard of any issues with the feet on this one to be honest. To be fair plastics have come a long way since the 450D, they may be a lot stronger.

@@jordanash who knows how it will hold up, I just wanted to give a heads up, wha might happen, if its same plastic. Eventually it fatigues and fails, but it was after several years. Not sure how the @ happen, RUclips changed things now it puts it in front, and makes it invisible after roosting, somehow it added the @. No idea what did or why it happen.

Is the asus that big? I have a gigabyte 4080 gaming oc its a giant card but it fits horizontally and vertically in the 5000d

I actually prefer these lower production quality videos for reviews.
I don't live in a studio with 5kw of light being thrown around everywhere.
I don't work in an Operator theatre with huge lights blazing at my workspace.
So in all those high production value videos, it's unrealistic what the kit actually looks like in every single situation where it's NOT in a studio.
Which is pretty much 99.9999% of the worlds PCs
What looks good in a studio doesn't always look good in a house.
Vivid setting on TV if you need an analogy.
I'd prefer the term less produced over lower quality. These still take a LOT of work and I'd like to think the quality is high 😅
Joking aside, I used to do all edited cinematic stuff but I got to the point where I couldn't keep that going, especially as don't have a team of people to help, so needed to find a balance of quality to output.
