Built in this case for my first build, 7800x3d, 4070 ti super, replaced the fans with be quiet silent wings 4 pros, and it’s been fantastic. Legit 0 complaints, love the build
My first build is in this, i think its a solid choice for a case. Only thing i wish it had would be for the glass panel to be able to swing open and not be screwed in with the screws. I didnt use the stock fans though i bought some arctic fans instead
I agree with your statement about simply leaving out the inexpensive fans and reducing the price of the case by several dollars. Every case I've ever used, the first thing I do is to remove the stock fans and replace with better PWM fans (I like using Noctua fans). I have a box filled with fans from prior cases I've accumulated over a couple of decades, keeping them in case a fan fails I will have a temporary backup. Otherwise, I have liked prior Corsair cases I've used and am considering replacing my current case with either the 4000D or 5000D case just to have easier access to my front filter for cleaning. My current one, I have to pull it to a point it hangs over the edge of the desk in order to get my hand underneath the front panel so I can yank it off to get to the filter. Sounds easy, but I can't take the front panel off due to wires connecting the front RGB and the front I/O jacks connected to the panel, so it has to either hang there or put back on and then removed again to replace the filter. Just too much hassle so I don't clean the filter as often as I need to.

It was a pain in the bum everything was so small and compact, and my nh-d15 cooler just took over the entire build basicly. Looks sick though and runns any game i throw at it. Good case, easy to use but i would recommend getting better fans since the ones in it are decent as a start.
Just bough one of these cases before Christmas. When it arrived and I unpacked it I was a bit miffed to find the glass side panel didn't seem to fit very well. When screwed in at the rear it left the front sitting too far back so the panel couldn't hook in at the front. Needless to say the supplier is now sorting this issue out for me and supplying a replacement panel thankfully, this was not their fault and to be honest I'm very grateful for their help. I have this case and i am studying how many fans i should put in and how should i install them... i know it needs to be close to neutral but a tad more positive.. so more intake than exaust... so now i know i will put the 3 fans in front and try and test to take off and on that lil ledge at the bottom front for more airflow to my gpu... i will also try to compare with only 1 fan at the back vs 1 at the back and 1 on top both exaust to see if i see drops in temp. the 6th fan i think is just not good as if you instal it for exaust it will kick the air out before it even reach the cpu so i think its better to leave it out/unplugged or even make it as a 4th intake fan but i do not like making a top fan an intake for the dust reasons and my balance will be more off as i will have too much intake vs exaust... this is more complicated then i first anticipated to have the maximum out of my investment but it is quite interesting... so conclusion i think the best will be 3 intake in front with or without the small pannel/ledge and 2 exaust one at the back one on top as far back as it can go.. hopefully my GPU will receive enough air that way as i will get closer to a neutral setup as it can be.
That was a long comment but I read it all haha. I think start with 3 intake at the front. 2 exhaust up top, and 1 at the rear. Then you're completely neutral. You could also use 140mm fans too, they move more air and at lower speeds than 120mm fans
@@TechHunterOfficial I won't be neutral as my GPU also pushes air out no? Oh and i already have 6x 140mm, my concern is that the top one that is more to the front seems to be a hindrance as it blow the air out before it even reach my pc parts. By the way thank you for your answer it is appreciated !

Lowest temps I've gotten so far. Tomorrow I receive the missing wire. I will be able to test with 4 and 5 fans configuration as well. I will update you on the results if you are interested. I will not be putting the 6th fan in as I am pretty certain it will make it worse to have a fan exhausting air right before it reaches my CPU cooler. I could try it as an intake fan but i dislike the idea of having a top fan blowing down as the dust filter isn't as good as the front one plus it would create too much positive pressure. @@TechHunterOfficial I haven't purchased RAM yet. What size ram would you recommend? For example, is Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2x 8GB) 3200 MHz DDR4 CL16 suitable?
Im looking to change my pc case of my nitro 5 prebuilt. Can the motherboard be in? Intel Chipset B560 Socket LGA1200 Desktop Motherboard I believe this is the motherboard. Thank you.
I believe so, as long as it’s a regular motherboard with all the screws and I/o shield in the regular place and not an OEM Motherboard made specifically for that case
Yeah that's the case I ended up with as my third choice. The other two wouldn't ship at the same time as my other components. It was fine once I got the components installed but I wanted to adjust something inside and pulled the tempered glass side. The corner of it hit the desk and shattered : |. I called Corsair support and had them send me the right hand metal panel instead since I realised that it was usable on both sides. I had no RGB whatsoever and even turned off all the lights on the motherboard so the tempered glass was useless for me anyway. Other than the shattered glass its been a great case. I have 2 Phantex T30's in the front and BQ Silent Wings 4 exhaust at the back and on top at the rear pulling heat off the Noctua DH15S atop my 5900x. I noticed the restriction with the top mesh as well. So I just placed a pencil under it directly above the fan to give more breathing room. I Also have a 2060 GPU for now. when I max out everything with Cinebench 23 and Heaven for the GPU my temps top out at about 78C for the CPU and 74C for the GPU.
That's a shame about the glass, but I agree, it's so dark you can't see inside anyway so the solid or glass panel doesn't matter. The t30's are great fans, I'd like to get a couple of them in. Haha I like the pencil idea with the dust filter! Good thinking
RGB is getting tired, IMO. I appreciate that Corsair made the glass so dark you wouldn't know it was glass unless there were lights on inside. I wish Corsair, NZXT, etc. optioned windowless cases. I believe Fractal does.
Corsair 4000D case airflow white version has clear glass opposed to smoked glass and looks amazing with motherboard contrast and some RGB lighting really highlights everything inside . There are some limitations with the 4000 series compared to the 5000 series as with top mounting a AIO in the top, 240mm would be the limit for the top compared to a 360mm advantage in the 5000 series but I guess if your building a mid-tier something like a i5 13600KF -14600KF-7700x then a 240mm AIO would be fine. A 360mm can fit in front but I prefer top mounting a AIO .
I prefer top mounting as well. Looks a lot cleaner imo. I like the white, the grey and white contrast nicely. Doesn’t force you into feeling guilty about not having an all white motherboard, gpu etc
If the 4000D and Lancool 216 are the same price, would you recommend the 216? I've not understood what makes the 4000D so amazing to always be the top seller on amazon. Also, wondering if you have any thoughts on the Asus Ap201 as that's also on my short list
AP201 is a fantastic mATX Case and looks really clean once you're done with it. The Lancool 216 is also a really good case too. The 216 probably has more niche features to make building easier but I think it looks a little boring and cheap.
Hi, I am planing to move my build from a Crosair Air 240 into the 4000D because of the case restrictions of the Air. My question is, can you mount 3x 140mm fans in the front or only 2 ( i know it will work with 3x 120mm). I have some Noctua Redux 140mm that I don't use and it will me great to know if i can use them all. BTW I have an R5 5600 and a Sapphire Pulse 6800xt. Also i was torn between the Fractal North (121 Eur on Amazon) and this 4000D (60 Eur on Amazon). Thanks
Fractal North is apparently quite noisy? Had it narrowed down the Fractal North or Torrent, but then I saw a GN video and despite the good review, it's quite noisy like 50db when the 5000d was getting 35db..
@@KS-nm6rt yes indeed that is also what I was concerned about as I am that type of person that usually undeclocks his components for a more quiet build :). 4000D vs Fractal North, What do you guys think?
Fractal North !
I do like the Fractal North but it is nearly twice the price in the UK
You said you have reservations but all I'm hearing here is that it's a thing of beauty and that I need it.
Haha give in to your deepest desires
Its on sale with a great psu for ridiculously cheap right now
I've been looking at this case, unfortunately, I'm still looking for at least two 5.25" bays. That said, why can't I find a case with a tempered glass side panel, 5.25" bays on the front and top grid for top radiator mounting.? Can you suggest any? Great video btw. Impressive delivery.
Im a beginner, sorry idk anything about all this pc stuff but, if a want fans of it, do I have to buy them separately?
Yes you would need to buy them separately. But do more research on the type of fans so that they fit properly. ID reccomend sticking with a corsair fan for the case but someone else might know more and give a better reccomendation.
@@z-lightningztutorials8400 thank you, I’ll research about it
Yeah you will need to buy separate fans, the Deepcool fans I recently checked out worked perfectly!
Would you recommend this case or and others for beginners?
100% it's so easy to work with an upgrade in the future
@@TechHunterOfficialthank you. I also have another question. I am planning to build a pc which contains a 4070, which processor and type (ddr4 or ddr5) of ram should I use with the 4070?
@@Fahad_Ali243 I think the Ryzen 5 7600 or 7700 is a good bet, with 32gb ddr5 at 6000Mhz
@@TechHunterOfficial thank you!
Promise me you'll check out the 13600kf over the amd cpus. It is the best value buy all around but yeah if you're gonna upgrade the cpu the AM5 platform is more future-proof, but still @@Fahad_Ali243
My case didnt have front panel connectors. Does anyone know where I can get them?
Surely just return it and get another case?
Your GPU will generate a lot more heat than it'll exhaust. What cpu and GPU are you using?
@@TechHunterOfficial CPU : 5600x overclocked to 5Ghz turbo with a freezer 34 Esports Duo.
GPU : overclocked 4070.
Mobo : Rog Strix B550-F Gaming
I am now running 2 fans front (the two lowest) and one at the back (lowest it can go as it is a little adjustable). It works amazingly well. I am excited to test it tomorrow.
Thank you again for your amazing videos and for your interest in this matter. I did not expect this level of complexity when i first started to read about this. It is a fun ride !
@@TechHunterOfficial I would really appreciate if you could please confirm that i can indeed plug my 3 front fan into a single mobo fan connector using a splitter cable? So far my researches says yes but I would like a professional opinion.
Thank you again for your time.
I appreciate overall review , any Micro case you recommend ? Thanks
I heard you can put a 360 mm radiator on top no?
Why is there no more usb-a??
are the accessories always coming with the case? i dont think i got mine
Yeah they should be! Can't see why they wouldn't
nevermind, i just found them near the hdd compartment@@TechHunterOfficial
Corsair 4000D Airflow VS nzxt h6 Flow ?
If similarly priced, I’d probably go H6 flow
I got the 5000D a couple of months ago. Very happy with case, glad it doesn't need the lousy Corsair support.
The 5000D looks like a great case, hopefully I'll get the chance to look at that in the future, or whatever Corsair replace it with :)
I want to use it with Arctic Liquid Freezer II - 280mm. I want to mount it on the top. Do you think this is possible? I don't know about the dimensions. Tysm
As long as you're using pretty low profile RAM you should be good! But if you've got some fairly tall sticks you might have issues with a 280mm
@@TechHunterOfficial I haven't purchased RAM yet. What size ram would you recommend? For example, is Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2x 8GB) 3200 MHz DDR4 CL16 suitable?
Yep the Corsair LPX RAM would be ideal!@@tdtdtd1010
Hi im looking to build my first pc. would u recoommend this case or the cool master td500?
I’ve not tried out the td500 yet but I’m looking at getting one in. I think the 4000D with some more fans is a great option though
Im looking to change my pc case of my nitro 5 prebuilt. Can the motherboard be in?
Intel Chipset B560 Socket LGA1200 Desktop Motherboard
I believe this is the motherboard. Thank you.
I believe so, as long as it’s a regular motherboard with all the screws and I/o shield in the regular place and not an OEM Motherboard made specifically for that case
What about the 5000D Airflow?
That dark tempered glass is exactly what I needed lol
In the US, may want to check the Montech 903 Air Base/Max(RGB) $65/$75, the Antec DP503/505 $80 or the Cougar Duoface Pro $100
I've looked into the montech but they're so difficult to find in the UK
I just wish that they had an option to have a metal side panel instead of glass.
Thanks for the vids, greetings from france !
How does it compare to Thermaltake s200 tg in air flow?
It’s the only case stocked on Amazon at the moment so yes
its good for airflow if your pc getting hot take the top dust filter off
Would you recommend this case or any other one
Yeah I'd definitely recommend it. I've got another case review coming next week on the NZXT H5 Flow if you're interested
@@TechHunterOfficialicue 4000D/5000D airflow has less tint.
could this case fit a 4080 super tuf oc
Does it coming with default fans or I have to buy then separately?
It has 2 basic fans included by default
Hello i want to buy this case but you think the Deepcool Assassins IV will fit??? great video
RGB is getting tired, IMO. I appreciate that Corsair made the glass so dark you wouldn't know it was glass unless there were lights on inside. I wish Corsair, NZXT, etc. optioned windowless cases. I believe Fractal does.
Surprisingly, right now, the white rgb case is cheaper than the black, no rgb case
@@genericsidecharacter8915 I never would have predicted that 😂
Corsair makes the best stuff, also the customer service i can say is the best.
Check out my video on the 3000D, might change your mind 😅
Doesn’t force you into feeling guilty about not having an all white motherboard, gpu etc
can you make a video about the undervolting?
I might look into in the new year ☺
If the 4000D and Lancool 216 are the same price, would you recommend the 216? I've not understood what makes the 4000D so amazing to always be the top seller on amazon. Also, wondering if you have any thoughts on the Asus Ap201 as that's also on my short list
AP201 is a fantastic mATX Case and looks really clean once you're done with it. The Lancool 216 is also a really good case too. The 216 probably has more niche features to make building easier but I think it looks a little boring and cheap.
Hello, can a rx7800 card be installed?
Yes
Hi, I am planing to move my build from a Crosair Air 240 into the 4000D because of the case restrictions of the Air. My question is, can you mount 3x 140mm fans in the front or only 2 ( i know it will work with 3x 120mm). I have some Noctua Redux 140mm that I don't use and it will me great to know if i can use them all. BTW I have an R5 5600 and a Sapphire Pulse 6800xt. Also i was torn between the Fractal North (121 Eur on Amazon) and this 4000D (60 Eur on Amazon). Thanks
Just 2 x 140 or 3 x 120 at the front unfortunately!
In the meantime I have managed to find (in the part of Europe that I live) a second hand, which was actually new and never used, BeQuite dark base pro 900 for 85 euro and I went for that. Is a bit bigger that what I was planning initially but I am very happy with the cooling potential of the case and the low acoustics comes as an added bonus.
Thanks for the reply. Will have a look at the BeQuite cheers. @@Drakar1122
An employee in Best Buy recommended this case for me, so I bought it.
Great case, but i am starting to see oxydation on front panel.

That sounds like a great deal!
@@TechHunterOfficial I figured too although i swapped both instantly

Wanted it for my build but its like 100 euros in my country. I chose the Phanteks G300A instead for 70 euros. Both are great choices if found at 70 euro price tho!
H5 flow 2024 doesnt have filters no the only concurention is earlier version,
I have the 7000D AirFlow for 2 years now. It is by far the best case Ive ever had. I still have my Crosair 750D for my backup PC. The second BEST case Ive ever used.
I think it'll be a while before I can buy a >£200 case for reviews unfortunately 😂. But I'd love to try it out one day! It looks super premium
Great video,
I wanted to know if the MSI Radeon RX 6750 XT is a good option for a gaming PC Build. Mainly I use it for PUBG and Forza. Here is my Build plan
1. Usage/Usecase : Gaming, Basic video editing, PUBG and Forza are my major games.
2. Configuration (if any ) :
GPU : MSI Radeon RX 6750 XT 12 GB
CPU : AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D
Motherboard: ASUS TUF GAMING B650-PLUS WIFI
RAM : DDR5
If you're planning on using the 6750 xt with a 7800x3d then the CPU is a bit overkill for the gpu. You could get away with a Ryzen 5 7600 quite comfortably or R7 7700
@@TechHunterOfficialthanks a lot I’m planning to use it for five years minimum so I’ll go with the overkill no worries
@@dronefilmsgermany I think he meant to say it's actually redundant. If you get a 7600x, you can spend that saved money for a better GPU, for example a 6950XT.
Did buy Cougar duoface pro rgb insted. I like it more
That's a great option, I appreciate that you get both mesh and glass included!
Only problem with it are the three pin fans connections - i cant plug them enywhere
@@zeljkoklepac3180 you can plug 3 pin fans into 4 pin fan headers ☺
