bro got a shelf full of pc cases 😭
Bro reviews PC cases for life 😅
@@Herr.Mitternacht yeah but I thought he'd sell them after he reviewed them
@@hoppel9177 Some probably but the cool ones for sure not 😎
@@hoppel9177 what if you want to do comparative testing? It's good to have an inventory of cases you have reviewed before. Good thing the focus of this channel is SFF cases 😅
almost like he has a channel reviewing hardware or something
I'm the happy owner of an M1 for 10 years - still using it for my gaming PC. Was not going to change (even if I would like to upgrade the GPU). Now I finally can !!!!!
This is so clean and functional... I have always thought the massive cases with all the dead space and all the silly rgb lights looks kid ish. Plus they're just so damn big.
5:00 gave my brain an instinctual "SPIDER!" response
9:47 absolute deal breaker for me, they definitely need to get that fixed on the first run
well it's not like you'll be able to find one in stock anyway
Most boards have it near the 24 pin port, but it's super unfortunate for this MSI board.
Just make it longer yourself. It's two cables
It’s in stock right now
Would love to know the ETA for Round 2.
Man, its good to be back with Ncase. Your videos on Ncase back in the day is what got me into ITX. Cheers Ali
Still rocking my Ncase M1, still in love.
This man has become one of my favorite tech content creators because of how clean his videos are. Keep up the good work.
Would be very cool to see a build in this with a matx mobo and atx psu. For those who want to downsize without rebuying everything 😅. Maybe even compare it side by side with the Meshroom D that allows matx board and atx psus with an extender bracket.
100% thinking about this lol. And I also have a beefy 4080. Might have to get different connector cables though.
Would love the same video!
At the same time, it's kinda sad that GPUs have gotten so big that a case that can fit almost all of them is defacto big enough for mATX now. I mean, that's cool, don't get me wrong. Just feels weird 😅
(Now, at 16L, where should I save it? In my list of ITX or mATX cases?)
I have the previous version mentioned in the video (M1EVO v1.1), so things might be different on the M2, but it's not as flexible as it might seem - some configurations of components only fit in one way (for example, it would be very difficult to do mATX MB with 4090 vertical, as you are then limited to water cooled CPU with small limit on CPU block).
But it definitely is versatile, and I hope the extra width in the case opens up more options. I currently have my M1 EVO configured in "classic M1" style, using a mATX board, SFX PSU, 7800x3d, air cooled, 4090 air cooled and I'm very happy with it, it really is the NCASE M1 successor.
@@mickaelsflow6774 16L is still very small. Especially compared to the Hyte y40 my pc is in rn. 50L down to 16L is a massive difference. I would say anything 20L or more is considered matx
@@faydark8805 I have a pretty long Rx 6900xt with an atx psu, so fitment might be a tad sketchy 😂
As someone who loves making custom panels for my PCs, what I already love about this case (haven't finished the video) is how easy it looks to repaint without having to de-rivet certain portions.
This is the cleanest video i have seen in youtube. I subbed.
I’m using a NR200 but wanted to upgrade from a 3080 to a 4080 super and luckily you used all the parts I currently have, now I know I can use this case exactly! Thanks for this!!
as a proud owner of the m1, i was wating and waiting to upgrade my pc. But now i've instantly ordred it, building a new pC!
day by day you prove to us you are a genius, your videos are just from an other universe, I really love your content, I loved the tech hardware industery, and I dedicated a lot of time for it, I enjoy every video talking about hardware, and I wish one day I could be as good as you, Keep shining
Looks amazing, and then I see there's zero dust filtering.
Noctua is supposedly going to make a thermosiphon cooler, be sure to test if it fits, when it comes out!
Please make a full build on this, there's barely any videos on this thing, my head scratching between going with the m2 or the t1 v2.1
Currently considering the 7800x3d paired with the nitro+ 7900xtx which only the m2 supports, i also have a 280mm aio in my current pc which would be nice to re-use but man i think the t1 looks a bit nicer tbh, also the m2 availability is hard to get rn
This case came out way way way too late. But I got the Xproto-L so I have no complaints the temperatures are insane!
optimum really out here collecting clean tech enthusiasts 😌
I make ONE RUclips video about the Noctua NH-D15, and my feed is now FILLED with related content. Really makes you wonder if RUclips has finally integrated (an entrapped) AGI in its algorithm.
Also, screw you for showing me how amateur my content really is. I hate you and love you at the same time.
Subscribed.
I waited for all of the right reasons... time to start planning, plotting, and engineering everything.
bought right after watching this, the matx sold me on it, once again setting the bar high! i already own 2 ncase m1's
Ooo this case or the formd in a vertical config would be the ideal. Super happy with H1 until then.
I just wish it had some sort of dust filter😅, a part from that looks very clean and cool
M2 Grater looks so good.
Would love to see a mATX motherboard build just for fun maybe a work station buil that needs all those memory slots and space for another card
I look forward to a bad ass watercooling build in this case :D
You should do a review on the Drunk Deer rapid trigger keyboard. it looks and sounds good while being rapid trigger but i want to know if the rapid trigger is good.
Where does he get his clothes from? They have such a nice fit and premium look to them.
Are you planning on doing a 140mm fan comparison any time soon? It's been a very long time since you did a big fan comparison so there's been a decent bit of developement in fans since you last did one, especially cause you never made one on 140mm only 120mm fans. Would love to see that since I'm planning a build in the Fractal North XL and would also make for a great video
this guy is the real life batman
It's a CH160 for 5x the cost. Nice
Idk how you thought of that. Its different.
Never cook again they are very different
I bought the M1 Evo 1.1 and while the thermals are great there were several half baked ideas. Some seem to be addressed in this version, front IO fitment, the back GPU bracket and spine layout. Unfortunately that case put a really sour taste in my mouth regarding Ncase. There's still issues like the front panel cable length, hilariously long on the 1.1 and now too short on the 2. Also, I would've loved to see the bracket used for the PSU in this build. It was a flimsy vibrating mess in the 1.1.
Makes me want to build another rig just to play with it...must.... hold....back
Love when Optimum drops a new video!
Awesome video and tips, wondering if could you recommend any bag to carry this mini PC around or even airports?
Thank you.
Imagine SSF future when we have ASUS's BTF connector on all ITX motherboards and graphic cards, motherboards that can be ultra low profile with the CAMM2 form factor DDR5 RAM, and maybe one manufacturer is daring and will make a fanless smaller SFX power supply that's ATX 3.1/PCIe 5.1 to have native 12v-2x6 connector.
Hello, completely unrelated comment but I would love to see you try a manuform keyboard.
In the style of a 6x6 matrix with column stagger or something similar
I've recently fallen in love with that format as a developer that uses vim and there's a bunch of open-source projects with very different styles each.
The is lovely. I'm currently researching cases to built a tiny mini itx PC
Hope they make a removable top metal handle for portability.
Shoutout to NCASE for inspiring Optimum to start a RUclips channel and giving us absurdly premium content
I appreciate that they support mATX, I really do. Unfortunately motherboard manufacturers (_*ALL*_ of them) have decided that mATX means cheap shit and it has been years since you could find *ANY* mATX motherboard that offers anything above what a high quality mITX can offer. It is so disappointing. I would love an mATX with 10GBe, thunderbolt, plenty (2-4) of m2 slots, good VRMs, temperature sensors connectors, debug screen... but it just doesn't exist. It would pair so well with this case and it would be an instant buy from me.
Man, may be time for me to move from my custom waterloop m1 to the m2
surely itll be able to fit the biggest cards for the upcoming gpu generation aswell
Just hoping that Nvidia fixes their melting PSU cable problem... would be great if they put the connector in a more SFF friendly orientation.
Epic case, the only think holding me back from going itx is the lack of 10gbe
Ive been waiting for the m1evo refresh since early 2024, im so excited! Can you check the arctic aio's compatibility with 30mm fans (noctua spacers etc)?
Waiting for the full costum water cooling build
The fact you're just turning it over in your hands, with a few brackets missing.. and it not showing any signs of flex - proves that its a solid unit.
Now ... this or the meshroom D, neither are cheap but the Ncase M2 looks better built
Take that back ... Meshroom D and extension bracket is $280 locally, M2 and the bigger case feet is $290 shipped.
always banger vids from optimum
Homie has never met a small form factor case he didn't like, lol.
Looks great. Question though - why would the thermals for the GPU be better when mounted on the top compared to at the bottom? Esp. considering there's heat generating components under it and heat rises, and, the pull through direction of the fans would be in that case pushing down from the top?
M1 v6.1 is so good I'm still not ready to make the switch
Are we gonna ignore how jacked this guy is? 💀
I wanna try going for a more compact build for my next PC, hopefully it's not too difficult.
Itx on the left side, thanks god you are the only left cases guy like me on youtube.
My current case is the Caselabs BH7... but this one might top that...
I've been thinking about moving to ITX, I have a Aorus Master 4090 and 7800X3D. The only reason I haven't was because I didn't want to also have to buy a new PSU. I can deal with a little $200 ITX b650 asrock lighting board or something. Tired of this giant 011 XL
My favorite part of M1 was GPU deshrouding. Crazy good thermals and almost no noise. Do you think it would be possible with M2?
0:25 imagine he reviews a Time Machine
Take off the Chrono Strike rune in Doom Eternal, you're lowering your skill ceiling with that on.
Would love to give this a go, but after being stung by the m1 EVO I'll pass. My Formd T1 2.1 is doing great.
OH HELL YEAH! The Goat is back!
You could make a PC cases tier list
The EVO was a disaster so I’m going to hold off on this. I’ll keep rocking the OG NCASE M1 until I can’t anymore.
What was wrong with the Evo in your opinion? Looking to downsize after h210i --> o11D Mini -> NCASE M2/FormD T1..!
Oh great, just another NCASE that I won't ever be able to get my hands into. Yay!
Waiting for a Full Liquid Cooled Build
$10 shipping too, meanwhile Louqe Ghost R1 with $100 shipping and “no way to get it down” I call BS. Loved Louqe but screw that, Ncase it is!
Well im a big fan of NCASE M1(still have it on my desk) and now i searching for replace because need more room for new GPU. So im rly happy there is a lot of new cases on market.... thats the reason i must say M2 is overpriced if you look on LianLI A3 yes its bigger i know and not that great manufactured and versatile but still A3 is not that bad and have much better in price(70$)/performance. BTW M2/A3 are mATX=notSFF
What's the aspect ratio that you publish your videos in? Looks great!
Awesome review brother! This will be my next case for sure. Will the IceMan pump/reservoir combo still work with this M2? I noticed it still had the 2 holes at the back. Thanks
Would like to know as well, you have your answer already?
Hi, I'm waiting on building my new PC with the NCASE M2, do you have a video ongoing with your build?
i'm amazed at the case, but what baffles me is that a 7800x3d and a 4090 can still run on a 750w psu, like how is that even possible?!
The overlay was showing the 4090 running at 330-400W and the 7800X3D at about 40-50W. It's more than reasonable, but I would avoid Intel CPUs without jumping to the 850-1100W SFX PSUs.
They got this down to 160 🎉
yeah this droped when i bought the t1 :D
i see optimum i click
any video on minis forum BD790i or AR900i ? with a nice 4070ti for example ? would be great to have your take on that, i think it might be a good way for people wanting to game competitive game like valorant, overwatch or Cs2. what you think!? awesome work by the way :) :) :)
Ordered it today!
I know is not ITX, is Micro ATX, but i would really like to hear your opinion on the latest Lian Li x Dan Cases one.
I wonder if you could passively cool a undervolted 7600x in it
Optimummy dropped a new vid everyone
As amazing as the NCase M1 was, it is completely uselss to us as consumers if we cant get our hands on it
Availability has been their biggest weakness so i hope they implemented proper supply chains with their second iteration
Case so good it gave bro a career 💀
Please do a 280 aio build in this case
custom water loop build :)
Man id buy the ncase M1 or the M2 if you sell them xD I really want one but eBay is a no go and reddit barely has them and they sell out in seconds.

@@ThunderingRoar no just the ncase is back
When Leather Jacket Man releases 5090, we will be gone again
Depending on your hardware you were never gone
This channel is basically the sole reason I went SFF for my system, extremely happy with my FormD T1 V2. Seeing the return of the Ncase is refreshing given it was some of the first content of yours I watched.
I just built in that case also and was experiencing some case envy watching this at first until I saw them side by side. This case a little too big for my needs/liking.
My only real issue with my build is the panels bow out slightly on both sides. On one side it’s due to my fan duct and on the other it’s due to my graphics card. I could fix it with some work but I’m pretty sure if the side panels had some additional tabs at the front it wouldn’t be an issue.
Are they louder than standard mid tower cases? I'm looking for quiet builds.
Dude I just exchanged my 4090 STRIX cause it wouldn't fit in any SFF cases, and now this drops !
Had you not exchanged it this case would’ve never dropped that’s just how it goes 😅

Well, don't worry, in a few months new 5000 series will drop and you will get something more powerful and hopefully more efficient and smaller for a lower price (but probably not as low price as they should be).
@@ACE112ACE112 lol don't worry I traded it for an FE to some guy
Blessing in disguise
Gorgeous case, intelligent layout. Will be a hit.
That being said, I can't help but think about the SFF landscape in 2024. It's completely different now than it was when the M1 was dominant. Back then, the only good cases were the boutique ones that you paid 250 dollars and waited 6-8 months for. Now, there's a sea of "good enough" SFF cases that you can buy and get delivered in 2 days. I did the "buy and wait" thing for my FormD T1, and honestly I don't have the time and patience to do it again
Fractal design Terra comes to mind. Not quite as good as this, but design is better imo and you can’t beat how fast you can get it.
It feels kinds of that ncase m2 are too late for current trends there are tons of great alternatives are available out here
@@RiceCubeTech Yeap, despite the fact that is have some serious flaws to me personally it's really promising option
It won’t. W360 ruined the ncase brand in enthusiasts’ eyes. Ncase m1 evo was basically advertised with false claims and people didn’t forget it.
well i did for mine and the formd is worth it. Ive seen others but not as good
Eagerly awaiting the triple radiator build you're inevitably going to do!
YES! Needs a custom water loop build!
I want to take a moment to appreciate NCase M1 as the pioneer of the SFF world
Edit: I want to clarify some things in my comment reading others.
Of course there was ITX systems before the M1, of course there are other great cases and brands in the SFF world (remember that ITX is not the same as SFF, a 30L case with a ITX MB is just a waste of space)
But the Ncase M1 was an inspiration for many many of the current cases in the SFF world and it was (and it is) the most popular case and the best seller in the SFF probably
When I think about SFF I think about the M1
Laughs in Ghost S1
I feel like Lian Li were the first ones to do the tiny rectangular monolith that everybody makes these days. The PC-Q25B back in 2011 was sort of the precursor to the M1. It's so similar that I wonder if the NCase/Lian Li partnership actually started earlier than we know.
@@phychmasher Silverstone doesn't get enough credit man...

Nope, it was Shuttle with their XPC bare bones systems in late 90/early 2000.
That system was the inspiration to the creation of the ITX mobo.

5090 being 600w, yeah that aged like fine milk.
Great video as always. I am looking forward to your builds in this. Curious if thermal performance favors the vertical mount (w/ 4090 and 7800X3D 280 rad) vs inverted configuration (same 4090 and D15L, or same 7800X3D 280 rad).
