If you fit the cassette the other way up you can open the blind a bit whilst maintaining your privacy, if that bothers you.

Love this Errol, really nice. I'd love this, grew up in Solihull facing the factory and then backing on to the test track. I really should get one.

Just found your channel. Enjoy your editing style on this video 😮
3:05 just had a flashback of a bad-is/ cool British sitcom from the 70s or 80s. Forget name but they always talked about punk rock and lentils...🤔 anyway back to the video
    The Young ones....😅😂
22:45 your storage boxes on the roof are next level. ⚙💪
Interior and the cabinet came out nice.
For the side box will you be adding cables to make the cover into a table or will it be just to high for a usable table?

hi thanks for the comments, yes I find the side locker to be too high when turned into a table, you probably saw from the other video the box on the other side has a removable lid and slots in lower.

Enjoyed your content Errol. Question for you, have you ever refitted a Defender 90 with the ability to sleep inside? No need for sink and stuff like that - think wild camping and say on the road for a month but then used as a daily driver. Roof top tents look great but noisy in wind in the mountains. Maybe that’s the way I have to go but worth exploring options first. Thanks Glenn

Hi Glenn, well yes I have done one Defender 90, it did have a roof tent but also had a small bench inside plus a fridge and a platform for two to sleep on, I will say it was very tight for the owners, they mostly used roof tent but for solo travel I think it would be perfect, so much so I actually want to build one for my self as I've never owned a 90 and I too feel it maybe the way to go.

Thanks for your reply. Choose good weather and you’ll mostly be outside but for sleeping anyway. I’m sure a lot of the storage can live under the truck and ‘secured’ when parked up. That would leave the whole of the inside for sleep. Go down...not up kinda thing 😉

Hi Errol - love your work. We own P9467… And do love it although can’t stop spending !!! If you remember on the rear passenger side there are brackets where I would love to put one of your side lockers. Do you still have one I could buy? If you are ver near Rutland area - would be great to meet up also !! Hope to speak soon.

My dream Defender! Wish I’d never sold it now 😂 I don’t have a locker that would work for your defender as it would need to be shorter so would have to get one specially made. I can do this if you gave me the measurements of what you want but I can’t post out unfortunately . You can contact me via coastline campers on Facebook if you like.

Amazing work as always. Have you always only worked on LR's? Do you know anything about old G classes and how they are for offroad/camper builds? From what i see and hear LR's are probaly too unreliable for my liking.

I’ve done work on sprinter 4x4 and land cruisers but Defenders seemed to find me more than any other. I also worry about the readability of them for longer trips but I think I might now finally be at a place where the td5 engine is the right one for me, I’m learning my way around it and had one for over 5 years in the past so I may start looking out for a keeper. I love the sexy beast but it’s too similar to my last one so I may look to a 90? Thanks for watching.

Correction Erroll. In mainland Europe we all drive on the right side of the road. You islanders still have no clue.

You couldn’t be more correct 😀 the funny thing is when I drive in Europe I prefer it.
