Hope you guys will take that opportunity to open an access hole to the tank pump in the floor. Don't be discouraged by the workload ahead, it all worth it. Cheers
Hey there, we do have a marine type access hatch we are going to install! Thanks for the support! We just can't wait to get it back together and start focusing on the rebuild! Any suggestions for improvements in the videos welcome too! :) Harry
Definitely a big job Guys, but I still think it was a good thing to pull it all up. As Harry mentioned, he always knew what state the floor was when he covered it up, so removing it, cleaning it, prepping it, etc. and replacing it with a new floor, you'll have peace of mind now ☺ Great work you Two 😎
It will, in the end, be well worth all the work. Love the video. Had you considered removing the bulk head completely? Remember improvements to a Defender never stop. All the Best 🌈👍
Hey G, we did a reduction. We wanted to keep some of the bulkhead to give a partition between cab and back. but the reduction means more space for seats to go back, and also ill be able to sleep with my legs straight in the back of the vehicle.
You could have reused the sticky wood, just turn it over! The rusty screws are probably moisture build up within the vehicle from breathing, heating and cooking in such extreme temperature variations.
@@Mia-wf3ib no problem. That’s so kind of you, thank you! Amazing!! We have a lot of work to do on our Landy and will be documenting it all because we know how much other peoples RUclips videos have helped and inspired us, so if we can do the same then that’s awesome!!🙌
@@TheLandyExpedition oh phew! I had to do similar on mine, new floor and crossmembers, new tub cappings. Go galvanised, I used YRM parts, just fit straight in no trimming needed. Closed cell foam between steel and aluminium contact and treat yourself to a pneumatic or electric riveter, you’ll be so thankful! Best of luck :)
hello thank you for these beautiful videos I have a small question, I also have a 110 td5 to travel except that it is too high and my tires too wide, what did you put in suspension height and tire size I find your def perfect thank you (sorry for the english I'm french)
Bonjour! Merci pour la commentaire, Je peux parle en peu de français avec toi! :) Mais c'est la tout! Haha! So we run Old Man Emu suspension, with a 2" taller springs. We have a lot of weight when fully loaded so the Defender sits nicely at this height. Our tyre size is 265/75/16 we have the toyo open county mud terrain. They have been amazing. a tout à heur!! Harry

You are right
Have you thought about insulating it with Armaflex XG or a similar foam?
We used similar yes
Such a random question I know, but what is the brand of those black, lace up boots you were wearing in the video Chloe? They are epic!
Hey Mia, my boots are Dr Marten. I love them, has them years!

When you’ve ‘bitten off more than you can chew’; spit it out and take smaller bites. It will be worth the effort. You’ll see. 👍🏻🙏🦘
You are right Grahame! We just have to take it one step at a time.
