    Hi have the black low seat , does your seat click in and out after being fitted where the pillion would sit ? My seat fell off after a stationary tip over ( don’t stand up , adroitly come to a stop, then realise you haven’t sat down in time 😂and tip over. The prongs near the tank were all bent where I pushed the bike with help to get it off the ground and the seat fell off😂 Pliers fixed the prongs , but the rear of seat still has a clicking noise where the seat slots in at rear.

  • @orionswitness
    @orionswitness 10 дней назад

    Just a obvious but often passed on tip for any heavy adventure bike owner. If you are seldom more than 2 hrs from a petrol station , just half fill your Transalp. Still get approx 170km range , and the transalp- wil feel much more balanced as effectively 6.5 kg has just been removed from top of tank .As more fuel is used after filling we get even more weight saving up top of bike . I believe the full near full petrol tank weight makes bike tippy

    Have the tall screen and swapped the seat for the black low version . After approx 1500km on the low seat , it helps …but I only have a 28 inch inseam so I would like another 15mm lower. The foot pegs are wide and with my enduro boots I have to position my feet behind the pegs to reach the ground , the bike with the 21 inch front wheel is very easily tipped over at rest 😢. I can u turn both feet on the pegs easily , but if that front wheel turns even a little amount , when you come to a stop …watch out …if you are a shorter inseam , it will tip to the side the wheel is turned . Yes the seat helps , but the long front suspension , results in fork dive ,if you aren’t 100 per cent spot on with your braking . Personally thinking of putting a 19 inch front wheel on like they do on the Africa Twin , despite being a competent off road rider , this bike isn’t suitable in my opinion for any serious off road use other than gravel roads . The suspension is so soft and the bike too heavy …but it is a pretty good asphalt …bitumen back road tourer , it also eats the motorways . But boy at low speeds those brakes are temperamental.

What if you spend the lolly on upgrades/decals etc and first time you go out you break something that money could have replaced.... Get a bag you can strap to the bike that'll carry water, snacks and a small tool kit and then just go and have fun. After a while once you've got a bit more experience you may want to upgrade the rear suspension, as it's very soft, if you start picking up the pace off tarmac. In the meantime if you break something, then think about an upgraded farkle. The only other thing you might want to add is bar risers if you are stretching too much while standing on the pegs. Just go out and have fun riding.
