I have always felt that heat was better than cold for injuries and pains - for the reasons you mention... I am so pleased to hear that there are others who are experts who are confirming my feeling... and very interesting about the hot and cold alternating and also "the opposite foot" idea!
I have heels pain and feel nerve. The ice helps better,I tried with heat make my nerves flare up on my arch. I did with soak my feet with epsom salt and warm water, I used neuropathy oil but gotten worse on my nerves . The ice works better for me.
Thank you for educating us on the differences of using heat & cold therapy to increase healing. I am finding much positive change in using correct toes and all wide toe box shoes. Its been a year and my arches have strengthened greatly. Tho I'm still using a superfeet insole in my minimalist altra shoes i hope to one day not need any arch support. Thank you to this whole team who are helping us have stronger feet.
This is call HYDROTHERAPY I’ve been using this for many years. I do this for my whole body in the shower and in the Spa in the hot and iced pool. Great for the nervous system, I get a great sleep night 😴
Hi Doctor. How many times per day? Im still recovering from a bad ankle sprain from a year ago and it seems that I have some nerve entrapment or damage.
Hi there, because this issue seems persistent we ask you reach out about scheduling an appointment to discover the underlying cause. www.nwfootankle.com/scheduler/
Difficulty to sense heat/cold on foot/hands is most of the time linked to diabete (either A or B). My advice would be to follow Dr Greger (or Mc Dougall) science based recommandations : throw away all the meat/dairy/egg. And vegetal oils. Instead of alterning cold and heat, I'd rather rather use the build-in blood pump that is our feet : just walk around or small/fast jumps, instead of applying cold. Massages are also a great option.
I do a green tea foot bath with warm water at home as well as a green tea bath and the water turns as well it does work and I do see an amazing difference in my feet and legs and over I feel so much better. Too bad some people are taking advantage of detoxing. Green tea or white tea really does work older people need to detox for foot and leg health so sorry for the scammers out there sham on them. If you have never done it the water does turn brown do it and see just plan warm water and any old foot bathtub will work!
I have a cuboid bone fracture and my podiatrist asked to do ice only i tried hot and cold but it’s inconvenient with the boot. Does heat bag and cold ice pack be used
@@correcttoes hello i have a cuboid bone fracture on the left food . My doctor told me to icing 2 times a day . I am on the boot rgt now. Do u recommend icing and heat bag
I had surgery for plantar fasciitis in July this year (2016) I have not found any relief even with having had the surgery. It has become so frustrating because no matter how much I stand or walk I have severe pain in the foot. I have been told by my podiatrist to ice it. I've been icing since the initial onset of this problem which began in January 2016. He has never mentioned heat, or orthotics and never once recommended the type of shoe I should wear to relieve the pain seeing how my job requires me to be on my feet for most of the time I am at work. Can you guys please please help me? I have a daughter who is having bunion issues with severe pains at times and I took her immediately to see the same podiatrist and the only thing he said to her was that the only way to correct it is surgery. I cannot believe that there is no other way. Please help.
Hi, Rosie, and thank you for your inquiry. We're sorry the surgery and suggestions have not worked in your favor. However, we hope we can offer some helpful insight. First, for the foot pain, we would suggest using heat. Heat brings in blood flow and healing nutrients to promote faster recovery, while ice is just numbing and only really helps alleviate pain, doesn’t address the actual issue. Also, we strongly believe that your fascia pain is not a result of inflammation. Please see this video: ruclips.net/video/7rin6PzWQCs/видео.html&feature=share&list=TLtLt27NpW_cI. As for your daughter, the bunion issues are a result of improper footwear: ruclips.net/video/6gG3ch5z4S4/видео.html. This should be a great start. If you have any more questions or concerns give us a call at 503.243.2699 or email customerservice@correcttoes.com

I'll keep this completely honest so apologies for my bluntness... I'm a guy who came here looking to alleviate my pain cause I stand for like 7 hrs a day on my feet so my plantar fasciitis hurts like crazy as well as other parts of my feet.. but damn was I distracted due to the shock of seeing those "huge" and no less from someone looking like they are Asian or have Asian descent...Wow, your back must really hurt from time to time. I had to watch this twice cause I got distracted 2nd time I was a had able to truly focus on what she said
Wow how inappropriate! This good person puts out helpful information to help us all, and gets a stupid comment likes yours. You should be ashamed. There is always the lowest common denominator I guess. Thank God all men don't think like you.

@@clumasjewelry6599 We recommend alternating between the two, heat for 20-30 minutes, ice for 10-20 minutes.
What do you recommend for swollen feet?
Epsom Salt water foot baths. Twice a day for 30 minutes. It works. I'm getting better progress with a broken toe than I had before soaking.
I'm in love💖
Turmeric Black Pepper/Black seed oil Organic Ginger and Tigerbalm...Thank me Later!!🤗
3 option??? .. I use tiger balm for my swollen calves
Is this true for rolled ankle
Hi, Griffin. We would suggest applying heat to dilate the blood vessels to increase circulation and promote healing. Hope this helps!
