Brian could've enjoyed such a long and great success, if he were still alive today. He could've done way better than what he did while he was still with the Stones, especially with his huge variety of eastern exotic instruments. He could've experimented with more sounds and styles other than then just blues and rock and roll. And also, he could've collaborated with more musicians and bands as well. He could've had everything, but he secluded himself away from others, took a lot of drugs and alcohol, and failed to adapt to a lot of changes, which eventually lead to his own downfall.

yep, I noticed that too. Mick and Keith were always so jealous and resentful of him, those two and their early manager Loogie contributed to his ruination I believe. Long live Brian Jones!!
I don't see him playing anything but basic rythym guitar. All the lead and soloing is by Keith. Mick Taylor played circles around the minimal playing of Brian seen here.
As I recall, The Stones were immediately following James Brown with all his stage antics and stage theatrics. Following him, Mick and even Brian seemed to have felt compelled to do more than just stand behind the mic like sticks. Kinda funny really.
0:53 - 3:30 wtf.......was he yawning there ???? How can you in such a situation ? Might be an example Brian didn't had the constitution for this show business ? Sadly there are too many photographs where he had that jet lagged look , even in the early years. Which he tried to combat with uppers (speed) and afterwards with sleeping pills to come down. Such a tragic story how he let it all slip through his fingers while the world was at his feet.
For the most part in this video all he is playing is bar chords. This is not to say that he didn't play a large part in the Stones & wasn't important in the band at that time. I wish that he had lived longer.
The Brian Jones fetish is absurd. Because Brian Jones couldn't add anything otherwise, not being able to do the most important thing in a band, write songs, he dabbled in novel instruments adding important texture to some songs in 1965-1966. But then he fell deep into drugs and became useless. This notion he was the Stones or just essential to the Stones is preposterous. The Stones improved with his death and the addition of Mick Taylor and hit their creative peak on the 4 albums from Beggars Banquet to Exile on Main Street.
Bill himself said he was the original leader and embodies the Stones. He really only became “useless” after he already wanted to leave the band. And Brian is on all but 2 tracks on Beggars, and Brian and Mick T are both only on 2 tracks for LIB. The only albums Mick T makes a full appearance on for the ones you’re talking about are Sticky Fingers and Exile
Oh well just look at that! Brian Jones, the 'great musician', has apparently managed, through many hours of diligent practice, to master the bar chord.
He played multiple instruments. Keyboards, percussion, sax, played sitar on paint it black. Also recorder on Ruby Tuesday. Was an excellent slide guitar player. Was a very good blues player as well. Came from a musical family and supposedly gave Mick and Keith some musical instruction.
@@mrvlsmrv When he was sober. Sadly, from 1968, Jones was an apathetic, drugged out heap collapsed in the corner of the studio, contributing next to nothing.
@@mrvlsmrv Brian did not "hire" Mick and Keith. Brian, Mick and Keith were informally sitting in on various gigs at the Marquee as well as playing with Alexis Korner. Brian expressed an interest in forming a band. Mick and Keith agreed. It was never Brian's band. Even Bill Wyman was a greater contributor than Jones. He wrote the Jumping Jack Flash riff.
Even here you can tell Keith would soon be able to play everything Brian knew and blew by him on lead work and songwriting! it was over very soon for poor fucked up in the head Brian. stop all this worship!
Brian's rhythm playing was always good. He was also an accomplished blues harp player and slide guitarist, unfortunately not featured in this short set. Unlike The Who, the Stones could not have cut it as a four-piece. Keith required another guitarist as backup for his Chuck Berry styling. And when Brian was in the lead, Keith strummed away. Both were excellent rhythm players who were also capable of taking a lead role. Later on, Brian expanded his role in the band with instruments not associated with rock & roll. Virtuosity per Mick Taylor is impressive, although Brian's creativity took it to a higher level.

With due respect to Brian it looked to me as if Richards did the most work on this, while Brian chugged out the rhythm throughout. Not like e.g. the Last Time, Rooster and Get Off Of My Cloud where the lead was his own.
Later on Richards became a bore tying to be more 'interesting' than he was, hiding behind the incoherence that hard drugs give people. Remember that painful interview with "Whisperer" Bob Harris in the 70s? People mistook that for 'cool'....R must have thought all that slurring and nodding made him 'interesting'.

He could've had everything, but he secluded himself away from others, took a lot of drugs and alcohol, and failed to adapt to a lot of changes, which eventually lead to his own downfall.
It’s to bad he and Jimi and Jim did not team together It’s what they all needed at that point and they may have lived and man it would have been the only super super group ever ✌🏻🐄🎸🐐☮️🦫🕵🏻♂️🍻🍄🎱👽😎
well done!
I think Brian wrote most of songs he was so multi talented after he left there music went down hill
Brian’s guitar is turned way down in the mix…
yep, I noticed that too.
@@larryn2682 He played circles around Keith too!
In alot of video you see Brian checking his app while playing. Even on Circus we're you really can't hear him. Here he sounds fine.
Yawning? He's just hopping around while his eyes threaten to leave their sockets. My 2c.
Jagger was such a dork!
Check out that crazy " jump" by Jagger!! ( never to be repeated again in his stage shows!!!)
Where has the clip gone of him turning his back to the audience at the beginning ?
I HAVE SEEN THIS on y.t. !
Brian was into it. Fucken drugs
Why is Keith always louder than Brian??
Only some decades i found out these Riffs Brians
Wow, footage of him not stoned out of his mind
Very common actually, there’s a ton of footage of a sober contributing Brian
This video shows much better Brian Jones that many Rollings Stones videos where only you can see Mick and Keith, not to mention Will Whitman.
Cool, laidback Bill.
So Keith does all the lead and Brian is just rhythm. Got it.
No Jones, no stones.
If only he could've joined in singing he can't quite break out can he?!
But you have to remember. No Jones, no Stones. He hired Mick and Keith. Also named the band after Muddy Water's song 'Rollin' Stone'.
@@theartfuldodger935 according to all the accounts that I've seen. Jones put an add in a local paper. Mick and Keith answered the ad.
Brian made that ugly guitar hip
Man, they really wanted to let loose.. so badly
OwO Brian
Yes *Brian* (◍•ᴗ•◍)
Check out the Dancer!!!!
He needed to turn his amp up. Drowned out by Keith Richards Les Paul
Damn BRian had tell.
Even here you can tell Keith would soon be able to play everything Brian knew and blew by him on lead work and songwriting! it was over very soon for poor fucked up in the head Brian. stop all this worship!
Oh Brian is so talented, Brian is the leader blablabla!!! He is just strumming chords. Everyone can do that, nothing special LOL!!!
Mis idolos los ingleses.saludis😀😛😛🙃🙃🙃😎😎😭😭😭💯💯
! Спасибо!,,,,
All the girls screaming for Brian
Yo tenia 14 años...jua.jua.jua..estos.eran.mis Stones..estaba.rodeado.en la.

Viejos vinagres..
No Jones........no Stones.....

Y dicen que no le copiaban a los beatles.., el corte de pelo y la indumentaria...todo...
Late 64 early 65 forget Beatles!! The Rolling Stones all ready here the greatest rock band in the world
Beatles best pop group ever/ STONES GREATEST ROCK BAND IN HISTORY.... Keith & Brian when firing on all cylinders make John & George sound clunky & awkward....
@@doctorinsomnia5410 They certainly hit it harder. Their amps were always turned up louder.
Oh, common Mick you danced like hundreds of ants are biting you, stop imitating blacks folks you will never get it. IT'S ok you became the BIGGEST Rock Star, we love you Mick and the boys past and present.
Mick had very good dance moves
