I think what caused his death.. drowning, and he was so much in pain and depressed, he drank , drugs, and I'm sure he was broken from what the others did to him.. it will always be because if Brian, there is the Rolling Stones...thats my opinion !!!!!

Other than Gimme Shelter the material from the so called "Greatest Rock Band In The Wolrd" doesn't measure up to me. To go from things like Ruby Tuesday and Paint it Black to formula rock tunes like Honktonk Woman is a pretty extreme drop in songwriting quality.

Brian was a savant with musical instruments. But when Jagger and Richards started writing all the songs, his contributions were marginalized and he just got more and more wasted. Shame.
Glyn Johns: (Andrew Oldham pushing Mick and Keith into songwriting) really caused Brian to be left behind. Until that time Brian was pretty much the group's spokesman and had some very good musical ideas. A lot of Stones records were built of riffs, and Brian invariably played those riffs. Then Mick and Keith were encouraegd to write and sell their songs and the whole balance of power shifted to them. They and Andrew took over directing the band.

Brian was a savant with musical instruments. But when Jagger and Richards started writing all the songs, his contributions were marginalized and he just got more and more wasted. Shame.
Glyn Johns: (Andrew Oldham pushing Mick and Keith into songwriting) really caused Brian to be left behind. Until that time Brian was pretty much the group's spokesman and had some very good musical ideas. A lot of Stones records were built of riffs, and Brian invariably played those riffs. Then Mick and Keith were encouraegd to write and sell their songs and the whole balance of power shifted to them. They and Andrew took over directing the band.
@@bootsybero the sad truth is that the songs they wrote in the 60s were outstanding. It was the right move. A shame that it left Brian out in the cold.
