Keith and Mick are absolutely adorable. I love how Brian articulated the importance between the audience and musician. The more the crowd reacts, the better the give and take, its a dual relationship. Mick doesn’t need to play anything, his voice and performance art are his instruments.
Long hair and sideburns need to make a fashion~style comeback. Charlie Watts has gorgeous long eyelashes. Keith is absolutely adorable and has beautiful thick hair; love his goofy personality. The children meeting the Stones is cute and endearing, maybe they’re interviewing for a school project? I see Ian Stewart @6:00mark; the original keyboard player. Glad he was happy to be their tour manager and enjoy the golf game at the same time. Absolutely loving this little time capsule, it feels/looks like it’s 100 years ago. Where has the time gone?
Geez, the bags under the eyes are so noticeable even in '65. He had begun thinking of leaving the group by this time. He had already accomplished his goal of popularizing American Blues. The group he formed sealed his inclusion in the four member Pantheon of Rock Gods.
He was thinking about forming a band with the bass player from a group called the shelves and his name is Jeff Harris but I can’t remember who’s gonna be in the band besides us to I’ll do some more research and report back
When I was a boy, my favorite Rolling Stone was Brian Jones! Back in the '60's, I was mesmerized by Brian's charisma! He dressed in the nicest fashions and his hair was the coolest! His musicianship was unequaled! His use of the Blues Harp, Slide Guitar, Sitar and other various musical instruments graced Rolling Stones recordings and made them sound unique!!! But, sadly, over the years, I've read negative things about Brian. Drummer Charlie Watts stated, in the Stones' documentary "25X5 The Continuing Adventures Of The Rolling Stones", "Brian wasn't a very nice person." He has been criticized, for speaking in a pedantic manner to show off his English speaking skill which he used to captivate the interviewer and his fans. There is the sad story of Brian Jones' former girlfriend, named Pat Andrews, whom Brian impregnated and refused to pay child support!!! There is a Pat Andrews interview, her beautiful son puttering around, elsewhere on RUclips where she explains Brian's neglect of his son, who's the spitting image of Brian!!! I was deeply saddened watching this upload!!! and angered at Brian's indifference to his son and Miss Andrews who obviously a very nice young lady!!! She explains that if Brian wasn't successful, nobody would want to know him!!! That he was incapable of having a close friendship with anyone and that he used his charm to get what he wanted out of people. These instances have cast a negative light on Lewis Brian Hopkin Jones!!! He now seems to me to have been sort of a sociopath!!!
There's more than meets the eye on some of these topics. I went down a bit of a rabbit hole regarding Brian on his death. I ended up reading loads about him. The first point of him being not a very nice person is kinda true. He's a polarising person. Very sensitive and quick to anger. He himself isn't the type to hold a grudge while others he upset probably did. That's just how people are. Some are rude but don't hold grudges. some are polite but will hold grudges. No right or wrong there. Just aspects of human nature. The child situation is also a bit more complex. Some famous musicians are almost forced with encouragement to not let children get in the way of their busy touring schedule. He probably should've paid child support money though. Then again, I know women who make these claims and they lie through their teeth. He's quite similar to John Lennon is many ways. Outspoken, sensitive, argumentative, highly intelligent, driven, hardowrking, creative and often combative if he feels he's not getting his way. Both of them have stories of them hitting their partners. John Lennon outright admitted to it and he wasn't proud of it. Neither was Brian. People are complex. The more complex, the more dramatic and difficult they can be. The Beatles and The Stones wouldn't have reached their heights if they didn't have a John Lennon and a Brian Jones in their band. Nice pleasant safe types like Ringo, Charlie Watts and Bill Wyman don't create the right energy for big things to happen.
Keith looks so young here. He only learned guitar 3 or 4 years ago. It's weird they just learned to play and started the Stones. They make it look easy.
Keith pretty much lies here in a very recent interview he talks about his grandfather teaching him guitar. It wasn’t this sudden burst of musical talent that many artists feel they need to possess in order to succeed or simply them wanting to give off the aura of “how is this possible?”
If you want to see what London looked like during the sixties just purchase the TV series The Avengers. That show shot some countryside of England and its desolate.
