I laugh when I watch Luca being all serious. I met this guy recently, and he was the most friendly, kind hearted person you'd ever meet. I don't think a smile ever left his face. Keep up the good work brother.
This is fascinating! I love how one musician can take a creation from another artist, and put their own feel into it. This is why I love art. One art creates another. I also love how raw it is. It all comes from what the music wants to say, without embellishments. This was music.
A reimagining if you will. I love when guys can play the bass, guitar and vocal melody of the song on the same instrument. Also some rudimentary percussion. Charles B and Luca S are Gods at this
Jack White said it best … “Everyone creating is a member of the family Passing down genes and ideas in harmony The players and the cynics might be thinking it's odd But if you rewind the tape, we're all copying God…”
People throw around words like "mind blowing" too often, but I can barely comprehend how the hell you are getting all of those sounds out of this single instrument. You make it look easy and you look great doing it. Such skill! I'd love to know how many hours (or days!) of rehearsal it takes before you release these videos. 🤯
Logically I can see how it is done. Knowledge of how capos and textures color in some of the blanks, but God help me if I ever attempted this on my own! Just physical proof of someone who said to themselves talent doesn’t stop at learning everything there is to know about how to play an instrument; that’s just the beginning!
Well the top 3 strings are with the rear cappo. The bottom three are with the front cappo which can be lifted to bring the bottom 3 to the level of the rear cappo. Then it's a matter of playing the notes by pressing on relevant frets... I see this as a form of piano playing
any string player is in awe at some of these guy's ability to do this. just try to hammer on one full barre chord, even with months of practice it's still doesn't sound full
I would like him to try Foggy Mountain Breakdown at full speed like Earl Scruggs or Steve Martin. The Earl Scruggs and Friends edition of that song is insanely fast. Lots of top country musicians on that track tearing it up.
Everything about this is super strange. From a 6 string guitar/banjo hybrid. To the choice of song. It is also awesome and creative and super talented. Congrats on making something i am unlikely to ever forget.
The ORIGINAL one-man-show/wonder. I remember running into this incredible artist when I tried learning more advanced guitar techniques, my jaw dropped and it still does. Bought his album, figured out the names for the tricks used and listened to that album so much. Today I hope to be half as good as him one day. I just wanna thank you for inspiring me. Blows my mind every time.
As an aspiring guitarist and singer/songwriter that's only been playing the guitar for 3 years I am extremely inspired by your raw talent! Luca you have a true gift and pray it continues to bless others as it has me! You're cover of last of the mohicans is absolutely the most to soul touching song I've heard!!! Thanks again!
Hold my beer. Nah seriously, this is by far something that defines talent, hardwork and dedication. The amount of practice is insane....now how the hell you get all them tunes right
Damn dude this is the second thing I have heard by you and I am so impressed. As I have grown older I have got such a love for the banjo sound and you have taken it beyond anything I have seen. You just win
He's cheating. His string press basically gives him two guitar necks. It's cool but I'd rather give attention to how clean his taps are. This really shows how well tuned his ear is and his creative approach to replicating a song with the limitations of a single instrument. In that world he is amongst Kings. Keep playing man. I'll keep listening.
This is the kind of stuff that gets kids interested in music...it shows how much a little creativity and skill/talent can pay off with years of hard work. Thank you for sharing...I had a 12, 11. 8, and 5 year old watching the whole time. Just awesome!
I surf RUclips every day and every so often I'll come across a video that absolutely blows my mind, today was that day. Next level skills man, so clean, so catchy. Killer rendition all around.
harps, cello, and now banjo. I just hope the artist is impressed. Someone took their song and played it on an instrument that ya never thought would happen
harmonic-capo-installation )) this beautiful creation can be perceived without mentioning the original, as a separate masterpiece! We are waiting for new melodic discoveries from you!
Man... Always impressed by you, Luca! When people tell me at shows that I'm a great guitarist I just shake my head when I know there are people like you out there. Always something to strive for and always something to learn! Keep it up homie!
i pray your hands stay healthy for the rest of your life...you may become a national treausre...a blessing surely for those that cross your path. how inspiring.

His playing is phenomenal and so is his exceptional talent for preparing guitar arrangements for these covers.

@@chinghis5266 no he isn't? he's using regular frets and steel strings.
This man never disappoints
This sounds so dark and elegant. It would fit perfectly like in a historical drama.

Dude… never heard that on a banjo. Freaking awesome!
Beautiful work... keeping the rhythm solid may have been the most impressive part of that musical banjo journey. Great job!
Loved this! You stand ahead of the pack Luca! You are unique and fresh and wickedly talented!

Such an understated brilliance! The whole world should know of your talent! Your music is incredible!
Cheers to Luca and his amazing sounds!
Bro, that's just beautiful, I cannot describe how good this is
Is this Blue Hop or Hip Grass? I cannot quite place the style. Great as always.
Gutted that I missed his show when it was near me. Luca is insanely talented!!

Magnifico! Magico! E con il dettaglio dello stuzzicadenti... non ti batte nessuno! 😁 ❤
Oh goodness! He's so amazing, playing this instrument wonderfully.
GIFTED IS NOT EVEN THE WORD !!!!! NAILED IT ! I PLAYED THE SONG ACAPELLA AND IT RHYMES PERFECTLY!

Simply amazing as usually 🤩 !! I love this performance💕💕🤗🤗🤗🤗👍
Fantastico Luca
Incredible !! The AC/DC Thunderstruck solo you do is just mind blowing.
The day gets significantly better when you release a video.
I've never heard the original of this... and probably wouldn't... but your cover is awesome. I would listen to this all the time. 💯
Why not?
@@herb_nbeatz2135 because it's rap, and some people are small minded.
Having never heard it is understandable, but saying you wouldn't is just putting on musical blinders.
I never knew banjo could be so funky. Insane technique.
This is a whole vibe!
You are probably the best guitarest alive today! Thanks for all the insparation! 🔥👊😀
Боже, существование подобных людей это читерство!
Восхитительно!
You are magical medicine, thank you for just being, Luca.
Another Amazing Performance by Luca

Welcome back, chief! The mortals needed you ❤️
Luca’s the realest in the game. Mad props fool.
Awesome talent!!! I love the sound of the banjo but you bring it to the modern times😉
The hardest part about lucas dementia was watching him slowly forget about his guitar 😁
I have lost count of how many times i have listened to it , damn it luca

I really love his versions! Pure talent
em and dre rollin in there graves for real, this is dope as hell
The good news is: if he starts arranging modern rap, he can retire early.
Quite the capo and amazing as always!
he was a good singer):
i don't think anyone will ever have hammer-ons as good as luca. you are the master. I'm in awe every time I watch you play. kudos
This man’s independence in his hands and fingers is absolutely astonishing.
Can u play still Dre.?
