The comment section is basically: Why did the home owner fight back? he could have shared the home he had if he remained peaceful during the robbery and murder of his children.
That is a lie. 45 to 50 milions and millions around the world gave their homes up for peace . Everyone except palestinians . So no , they cant have it , they are not special.
At some point every country surrenders though. Also statutes of limitations. How long does Israel have to hold Palestine land before it belongs to Israel
This guy is from Egypt. He said Israel doesn’t want to give up land for peace, but that’s exactly what Israel did with Egypt. They gave back all of Sinai for peace.
Israel gave back all of Sinai because Egypt win the war in 6 October 1973 .. zionists want and dream with The whole Israel from the Nile to the river...
@@nezarshdeed5314but he is also stating that they don’t give land. Israel was well into mainland Egypt but US intervened and wanted peace between them. Israel won and could’ve kept the entire peninsula.
@@JJVJ11 I understand what you’re saying but Egypt is a country & Israel is a country with recognized borders. In regards to the Palestinian issue they’ve never given anything to the Palestinian authority. Even when Israel withdrew from gaza in 2006 the Israelis control everything from the land , Air, & sea. All the port of entries, In fact a Palestinian in gaza cannot go to meet Palestinians in the West Bank. Moreover, they need permission to receive basic cancer treatments which is purposely delayed, even for a Palestinian to travel to another Arabic country they need to ask permission. & the vast majority of the time they’re declined. Another thing to consider is the West Bank they’ve been taking land from there for decades. Piece by piece.
@@JJVJ11 Israel did not win shit ignorant . Israel did not win one single battle against Egypt after crossing the canal plus the U.S made a whole new army in few days for Israel and yet the did not make a single win against Egypt . However, all they did they cutoff supplies to the Egyptian third army by the enormous help of the US and that was it if they were to attack the the third army the second Egypt army would have demolished the Israeli military across the canal .
Nope, or Jordan who has the largest Palestinian population in the area. No other Arab countries want anyone from that area because they know they'll be importing terrorism to their countries.
@@barrybkopicz2845do you know why or do you just like going around saying that? At least half of Jordan is Palestinians. They can’t afford to take anyone because they got no oil or natural resources.
@@ghostirq In 1970, Jordan expelled some 20,000 Palestinians and demolished their camps; in 1994-95, Libya expelled tens of thousands of long-term Palestinian residents in response to the Oslo process; and after the 2003 Iraq war, some 21,000 Palestinians fled the country in response to a systematic terror and persecution campaign. As recently as 2007, Beirut effectively displaced 31,400 Palestinian refugees when the Lebanese army destroyed the Nahr el Bared refugee camp during fighting between the militant Fatal al-Islam group and the Lebanese army.
It’s called a realistic answer (at least the first part). Why would Israel want a solution if they other side don’t have any power/leverage? It’s not a moral question, it’s just a realistic assessment.
@@azorahai8846called not answering the question. Germany perpetrated a war that resulted in the deaths of nearly a hundred million people. Eventually they sued for peace. Conflicts come to an end. There is always a solution. If he’s afraid to speak his truth then he just say that. His truth is that he believes the state of Israel should be dismantled and that the land be given back to the Palestinians and that the Arabs will treat the Jews well. That’s the only reason he would bother telling that story in response to “what is a solution.” There are many solutions that would be 1 million times better than the current reality. Jon Stewarts two state solution where Palestine is overseen by several nations is a great solution, unless unless unless the mind is I want everything or nothing until I get everything. The US could write a constitution and put billions to rebuilding Palestine and providing safety to the people. They would have lives 500 times better than their current lives. Freedom of movement. Education. Food. Security. But if your idea is that you can’t have those things because you want what you never had(remember this was Ottoman owned territory), then yah, no solution exist, and that stubbornness will continue the pain of millions.
I think Bassam is correct that Israel has made many mistakes and their current government won’t solve the problem. The US in partnership with the Arab States should absolutely step and help put an end to this and figure out a long term solution. My issue is he completely absolves the Palestinians and the other Arab states from their role in architecting the current situation. Let’s just forget about the various wars and sneak attacks that sowed the seeds of distrust, the terror attacks on Israelis in their country or abroad (Olympic slayings), and the various edicts groups like Hamas have made about the elimination of their state and people. Let’s not be intellectually dishonest. Fault is a two way street here
And what their response would be is that Gaza has essentially been a settlement for the past 30 years by Israel which bred the current terrorism. End of the day these people have historically been incapable, and even unwilling, to govern themselves and have instead chosen to live with a chip on their shoulder for all of eternity however justified that chip may be. If we lived in less charitable times, their people would have been stomped out years ago. Unfortunately, this is what happens when we engineer natural selection nowadays to everyone’s suffering. No different than conserving one species of birds over another.
If I create the conditions for terrorism to raise can I then blame them ? Have the Palestinians made mistakes of course but when peace Is no longer an option violence seems like the only option and from there grounded reality are they wrong? What are there options where is the hope? What hope of a better future for themselves and there families do they have?
@@user-ik5ze1sh7i so you’re blaming Israel for freely giving them their own land and choosing not to control their own destiny within it? Have you considered the absurdity of a much stronger nation ALLOWING its enemies to live freely, and not just living freely, but giving them a place to live?
israel is the occupier. WTF do you mean there is no solution. Get those pols and germans and Romanians back to their own countries and return the land to the people of Palestine.

Minute 1:05 Mr Youssef said Israel has so much power and Palestine has no power. How about Iran supporting Hamas? Minute 2:00 Arafat walked away from Oslo Accords because there were lots of catches . Why can't Mr. Youssef tell us what those catches were?
Arafat was presented with "a take it or leave it deal".. Palestinians had to give up their claims to most of East Jerusalem and forfeit their Right of Return, and in return, Palestinians would "gain" a non-contiguous state on parts of the West Bank and the Gaza Strip.
They are asking for 22% of their historic land, the West Bank and Gaza. This is called "1967 borders". They've taken it before the U.N. numerous times and the entire world supports it, except Israel and America. It gets vetoed by America.
its called rewriting history. the charter of hamas explicitly calls for jihad to obtain all of the land. peaceful solutions and the idea of splitting the land are out of the question in their own words.

I wonder what could go wrong with giving more power to the people group who openly state they will eliminate the other people group as soon as they are capable.
Why wonder? If you look closely, you can already see one side eliminating the other group and killing them indiscriminately. Trust me Israel is the only “country” in the world that can do that and not be held accountable. @@mohammedkhresat3798Your right only if you're total ignorant of history. The 1300 year old Muslim origins of hate Islam's hate does not stop with Jews, but Jew-hatred is one of its malignancies. Victor Sharpe The origins of this evil anti-Jewish discrimination took clear shape in Islam as long ago as between the years 717 and 720, when Caliph Omar ordered that all non-Muslims who fell under the yoke of Islam - the dhimmis - should wear distinctive dress and be boycotted and sanctioned in every way. This led to hapless Jews - and Christians - by the twelfth century forced to wear yellow patches on their clothes... Life for Jews under Islamic rule was a veritable vale of tears, as it was under much of Christendom. The odious forced incarceration of Jews in European ghettos was in fact an invention of the Muslim world. The ghetto, or mellah in Arabic, was first created in a particular quarter of Cairo, Egypt, during the eleventh century, followed by the first walled-in mellah in Fez, Morocco. After Mohammed destroyed the Jewish tribes of the Hedjaz (present day Saudi-Arabia) in 624-628, relentless and horrific persecution of Jews by Muslims broke out in every subsequent century. This persecution took many lives and left the Jewish survivors facing boycotts and sanctions: fast forward to the present day Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) hatred. See! There is nothing new under the sun when it comes to hatred of the Jews. Here then we have the 8th century Muslim origin of the current manifestation of anti-Jewish bigotry and discrimination we know today as BDS.

The creation of a Palestinian state is only a means for continuing our struggle against the state of Israel for our Arab unity. In reality today there is no difference between Jordanians, Palestinians, Syrians and Lebanese. Only for political and tactical reasons do we speak today about the existence of a Palestinian people, since Arab national interests demand that we posit the existence of a distinct 'Palestinian people' to oppose Zionism. Yes, the existence of a separate Palestinian identity exists only for tactical reasons, Jordan, which is a sovereign state with defined borders, cannot raise claims to Haifa and Jaffa, while as a Palestinian, I can undoubtedly demand Haifa, Jaffa, Beer-Sheva and Jerusalem. However, the moment we reclaim our right to all of Palestine, we will not wait even a minute to unite Palestine and Jordan."

Serious question I hope someone can give me a serious answer: why won’t Hamas surrender, disband, and send the hostages back? It’s clear this war is lost, but they are still holding out, at the cost of Palestinian lives. I understand it’s a resistance movement and they will resist until they can’t anymore, but there has to be a moment where they see that they are hurting their own people by continuing to “fight”. They took a risk with their aggressive strategy, and it failed. This particular attempt at resistance is at its end, it’s time to regroup and approach palestinian goals from another angle. Am I reading this situation wrong? In Israel’s words, they will continue until Hamas is gone. It sucks to surrender to such a tyrant, but this is the reality right now. They can end the war.
Not an expert just someone who reads the news from time to time but my understanding is that Hamas don’t think like reasonable people, they are extremists a bit like ISIS, so they will never give up, their mission is worth as many lives as the Palestinians can spare..also who in their right mind does something like oct 7 in their position, with the kind of government in power in Israel? In itself that is stupid, but there were not even any demands, no plan to follow up with, like wtf were they thinking..
It is important they don't surrender. People need to understand that there are no heroes...only lesser villains. Our children need to learn that there is no place for compromise and human lives especially brown coloured human lives don't matter. They don't teach this in school. It's important that they resist so history can be witness that might is always right.

@@Crazybaby2409then by your logic, the Jews have every right to take the land since they've been there thousands of years even before Palestinians? His premise regarding the Obama quote, is wrong (like Obama was on most foreign policy). It is not about power imbalance. Hamas refuses to renounce its stated goal of the destruction of the Israel. Once progress is made there, then real peace can be achieved. As far as territory is concerned, all lands conquered in conflict (that they did not start) are Israel's until they chose to do something else with them.
Well what about the West Bank? There’s no Hamas there and the Palestinians there are still being bombed by IDF and terrorized and having their properties seized by militias.

Moreover, you have a govt in place whose primary motive for existence is to kill all Israelis and hasn’t walked that back one iota. There are many solutions that would be 1 million times better than the current reality. Then why bother asking him. He definitely doesn’t know what he is talking about.
The origins of this evil anti-Jewish discrimination took clear shape in Islam as long ago as between the years 717 and 720, when Caliph Omar ordered that all non-Muslims who fell under the yoke of Islam - the dhimmis - should wear distinctive dress and be boycotted and sanctioned in every way.

This guy is like a Hamas propagandist. I can't believe lex didn't push back on all the nonsense this guy spews.
If Hamas give up, nothing will change. Should Europeans still be colonising Africa, India, and the Americas? All the colonised countries fought for and won back their independence. Palestine has the same right.
@@Crazybaby2409then by your logic, the Jews have every right to take the land since they've been there thousands of years even before Palestinians? The truth is that after the land was divided in the early 1900s, the Palestinians kept trying to colonize Israel's land via offensive military attacks and kept losing more and more land in each attack.
@@tsyqaibThe Canaanites were there first. Early Israelites were a nomadic tribe from south of Egypt. You’re being really obtuse if you don’t get that the state of Israel was only created (as a colony) in 1948, forcing the native Palestinians into exile. Most of the Jews in Israel came from other countries such as in Europe.
Bassem is by far the best at explaining this to anyone
Bassem has a correct analysis of the power disparity of the two parties but can’t seem to make the next logical step. The Palestinians have very little power to negotiate a peaceful settlement and their fellow Arab neighbours have no interest in supporting them and the rest of the world will offer rhetoric but no material help. Therefore the Palestinians need to accept peace means accepting an unfair deal from their perspective. Look for as much as you can reasonably get but know Isreal will ultimately dictate the terms. They won the wars and they have played their hands better at almost every stage. Stop living in the darkness of your past and start looking for a brighter future.
I’d suggest you study empires. Palestinians back in the early 1900 were apart of many Islamic armies that kept trying to invade Palestine. they’re not innocent people you think. They’re very empire mindset driven. hence why 70% of Gaza supports Hamas and other Islamic terrorist organisations.

Israel has offered numerous time to give up land taken during previous wars. It was always rejected by the Arabs.
