Who knew what putting a cookbook together entails, not me. I don't know how you have the energy to make this all happen, but it's going to be worth it in the end. You'll need a crew just to put everything in your house back in place. I love dad to the rescue. He's so cute! The only down side is that I don't want to wait till summer 2025. Boo Hoo!!

Organization and structure practically describes you. I am in awe with how you prepare for entertaining and ace the events. You’re everything I’ve always wanted to be…except I never got comfortable with entertaining unless it was on the deck with steamed crabs and salads. Have lots of pretty things but it was all wishful thinking. But I have so much fun watching you shopping and prepping and cooking and entertaining!
Ha! Aww crabs and salad on the deck sounds wonderful! Seriously Judy it can be pizza and paper cups and that too can be a blast! I think the secret is always to start at the level you are most comfortable with, and just keep doing it, and little by little it just becomes second nature :)

I never realized how involved a cookbook can be. You are so energetic, truly amazing! Seeing The Grove was very nostalgic for me, too. My daughter lived right across the street while going to grad school at USC. When I visited from the East coast we always walked over from her apartment to eat and shop. I can’t wait for your book.

Your hair and makeup with that red dress was gorgeous! I want that dress and am going to check Sezane. And by the way, I’m exhausted from watching your pre prep in terms of getting your home ready, getting your props ready, moving furniture etc etc. Not to mention the grocery shopping then all the work with the cooking. I cracked up when you said you were baking banana bread in addition to two other breads so things would go easier in the morning. Easier for whom?! I hope you give yourself a well deserved spa treatment or wine getaway or something after all that work! Great job and kudos to your entire team.
Amazing how much work goes into this cookbook production! Never given it a second thought but now I see all the work….! Also, funny to se you at the Grove, we used to live there as well and our story is very similar 😂. We lived there for 11 years and when our son was born, we realized it was time to leave. We went to Orange. I used to walk to the Grove all the time and we loved MonsieurMarceau as well. gotta say, cannot wait to get your cookbook!

I grew up going to farmers market it brings back a lot of memories. I was just there last year.

One of the best features in any cookbook is that it can lay flat when opened to any recipe you are testing. Not to plug Ina Garten but her books all have this feature.

It's fascinating how this process goes. It's so much work and takes so many people. The recipe editing is so cool to me. This is one of the reasons I like using cookbooks over random recipes on the internet. Because books have editors dedicated to checking the recipes for correctness and readability. Even on pretty well known food blogs I've gotten recipes that had ingredients in the list that were missing from the recipe. A well editing recipe really makes a difference especially if you're making something for the first time. Congrats on the book I can't wait to see it.
I’m near the end of the video and oh my gosh..I don’t know you do it. The one word that comes to mind is Exhausting. And then after they’re all done you have to put it all away! Hope you have some help. I cannot wait to buy your book. ❤️
Ha! Oh I knew there would be light at the end of the tunnel eventually! Ha! That's why the photo wall was so great! And the produce table, because as the photo wall became bigger, the produce table became smaller ha! So I knew we were making progress and getting to the end!

I've downsized after divorce and got rid of several cookbooks. I had 163 cookbooks. Yikes. I parted with 90 of them. But now I'm soooo excited to buy your book and add it to my shelves. This was so much work, but it was fun to see! Wishing you all the best!
