    One thing I have learned about putting that type of furniture together is to not tighten the screws all the way until you have them all in. Then go back and tighten all the way. It makes it easier to wiggle them in if you are having a hard time getting the places to align. What a cute home you are making!

      I don't iron, either, but for a different reason. I always do the wrinkle test at the store before falling in love with any type of clothing. If it stays wrinkled after I scrunch a small area, it doesn't come home with me. Of course, I don't have to work any more, so I wear a lot of jeans & t-shirts to be sure. But even the shirts & pants I wore to work never kept a wrinkle.

    Hi Liu, Retired Registered Nurse here I recommend going to see a rheumatologist first. There is nothing wrong with you psychiatrically that I can see and I have been watching your videos for a long time. A psychiatrist will just give you medicine. Talk therapy might help for support, but probably won't take your physical symptoms away. Also, study up on fibromyalgia and muscle disorders to see what you can do to help yourself. I know that you are already very proactive in your self care. You eat a pretty healthy diet, you exercise, do self affirming messages. Make sure that your thyroid condition is in control. You are hypothyroid since your surgery, correct? Regarding sugar, I can tell that you like sweet things. If you can, cut down on refined sugars. That includes coconut sugar unfortunately. Focus on naturally sweet food like fruits bananas and apples etc. Use those for sweetening if you can. I also occasionally use Stevia. For me, the more foods with added sugar I eat, the more I crave it.

    I woke up feeling a lot of anxiety. Many, many thoughts in my head. I have lots of things to do today, Sunday.
    I meditated a bit, listened to a calming audio for anxiety, played with a cat I am pet sitting, but I still felt anxious.
    I was searching for a video to watch on calming anxiety, and I saw you posted a new video. I was grateful. Many times when I am anxious or down, your videos help me very, very much. 🙏

    You always show us to continue in our lives, to believe in ourselves, that things always get better......and to never let our goals & dreams fade away. To put in the work....and go forward. No matter what.

    Sharing my experience: after long specific treatment my hormones just went crazy and I have to take thyroid hormone now. It balances a lot, but still there were other symptoms, muscle pain, cramps etc. What changed everything for me is the fact, that I can’t store vitamin D properly and now I am taking it everyday, along with magnesium and iron. It is life changing. Please consider - you grew up in a sunny area, but Japan has just different climate and maybe your body has still to adjust or maybe it can’t adjust to it. You can test your vitamin storage with a big blood screening test.

    Some cooking tips! For the eggplant charring or broil - let it broil or char first, then wrap into a plastic wrap or place in a Ziploc bag. Let it steam and cool for 10 min then take the eggplant out and you can easily peel the skin off the eggplant. For the eggs, I notice you have trouble flipping the omelette. A trick for me that works in my kitchen is place it in the pan, let the bottom side cook first, and then cover the pan with a lid for about 5-6 min and you should get perfectly cooked eggs without flipping.

      @sapphire22011 3 месяца назад +5

      I have it too it's a curse, but it can be managed.. as for the sugar issues it's so hard to know what to do for the best...maybe try agave or Stevia which are supposed to be better for sugar levels and insulin responses? My mum.was diabetic, type 2 but on insulin and I had to regulate her diet as she was in a wheelchair. I worked out what she could tolerate and what she couldn't and we stuck to that, and thank God she wasn't prone to hypos. But it wasn't just the sugar she ate - it was the FORM she ate it in. Eg she would have fruit, but WHOLE fruit, in small amounts spaced throughout the day eg 50g mixed soft fruits at 8.30am, then perhaps an apple or pear at 1pm after her lunch sandwich. But she went into respite care for a week and they didn't weigh and measure the fruit, nor stick to the times I told them. Worse, they one morning forgot her usual fruit after her bowl of porridge, but still gave her the full amount of insulin prescribed, which was too much without the correct food units to balance it out. They then proceeded to give her a smoothie which is a disaster for diabetics as they have 2-3 portions of fruit at once, plus because the fruit is pureed it goes onto the body almost semi digested, and the body doesn't have to work to break it down..Diabetic specialists will strongly advise against having smoothies , but these stupid, supposedly trained nurses ignored that and gave it to her, which caused an almost immediate hypo. She did recover from it, but wasn't well for rest of the day..at home she almost never had hypos, unless she was getting some kind of infection or virus, because I watched like a hawk what she was ingesting and watched her blood sugars closely and stuck to the diet we KNEW worked well. I did write this all down in her diary and verbally told the staff, but was ignored. ....grrrr.

    • @scook5599
      @scook5599 3 месяца назад +1

      @@sapphire22011By "hypo" or "hypos" you are referring to hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) correct? I am mentioning this because many people here might not know what that is. You did a great job caring for your Mother. Sometimes nurses and nursing staff do not listen. I can see why a fruit smoothie might not be the best option for a person with delicately balanced insulin dependent diabetes.

    • @sapphire22011
      @sapphire22011 3 месяца назад +2

      @@scook5599 yes it's short for hypoglycaemia episode. I did my best but it does illustrate how changes can affect diabetics. She wasn't usually prone to hypos, but we did follow the same routines daily and I knew her so well, I suppose that I knew how to balance her food vs insulin intakes I could move it up or down by a few units if necessary for example, say if she wasn't eating as well. I also could pick up on the very subtle signs thst something wasn't right, which only comes with knowing someone very well, so that's why I was upset at what the staff did. It makes it even MORE important fir them to listen to the main carer (s).that KNOW the person. Another thing about smoothies I forgot to mention is that mostly the peel or skin is taken off, so there's less fibre for the body to break down..I wouod make sure that 🍐🍎🥝 had peel left on and only chopped them roughly, if at all and I tried to avoid 🍉🥭🍍🍇 etc or use VERY sparingly as they are lethal for sugar.. a trick I used was yo freeze grapes so they were like sweets, but she could only eat a few at a time and it helped satisfy the craving.
      I must admit I'm not convinced by coconut sugar or other 'alternatives'. Sugar us sugar the body dies not differentiate. I'm also mot convinced by Stevie or agave as I think they both taste like artificial sweetners. My mum wasn't long diagnosed as diabetics when she got a bad strike and was off all solid food for 3.5 weeks sadly. That kinda forced her body into cold turkey as far as sugar etc went and she lost almost 4 stone after 3 months of rehab and a strictly controlled and monitored diet (although I STILL had to warn the medical staff not to give her 0% fat yoghurt, as they simply pump it full of sugar instead.) We had to use the special diabetic yoghurts that were no sugar and very low fat. The ward sister who was a battle axe told me I was talking rubbish so I said " don't believe me, check woth diabetics specialist nurse then) .....who confirmed I was right 🤣🤣🤣🤣 the battle 🪓 was RAGING and stormed off in a huff 🤣🤣 Pity about her 😈

    I so enjoy your videos LouC. You definitely have a very calming personality. The jewelry is so pretty. I dont wear earrings but those are pretty. I absolutely love the bracelet though. You should always treat yourself! I love the plastic plants and flowers too. They are made more realistic now a days. I have several plastic plants in our home and no ones the wiser that their not real lol. I hope when your new check up is done they find the root of the problem and you get some relief. Be Blessed both of you!

    Hi LouC!! I am a type 2 diabetic and I have found that Monkfruit drops are the best sweetner for me. I doesn't raise my blood sugar at all, and it will not cause tummy issues like sugar alcohol (xanthun and xylitol). And it is much sweeter than most sugars on the market! You only need a few drops to make anything very sweet. My doctor recommended it...and it's done very well for me. Just make sure it pure and doesn't have the others added. Hope this helps some. ❤

    Hello from Sydney.
    Those flowers are so pretty. Dainty & nice.
    The jewellery you ordered is so lovely. I love that style aswell. & they suit you too.
    In terms of coconut sugar and all these silly negative things they confuse us with; just ignore! You NEED to feel happy! One moment, they say it's bad, the next it's good. The best thing to do is eat & drink what you feel like & everything in moderation. The rest are fear & control tactics.
    I would've thought that ice cubes in the tumble dryer made the clothes damp.
    I've never tried that either.
    I love your storage rack & nice dining table. Well done! 😊
    I so enjoy watching your videos. Your personality, the food you make & things you do comfort me.

    Muscle pain and fatigue are very common with fibromyalgia. I have Hashimoto’s and within a year I had fibromyalgia and rhematoid arthritis. I’m almost 70 now and a cancer survivor. I’ve found gentle exercise, a healthy mainly organic diet that has me eating vegetarian more often, walking and my pet cats all help me. You might find you have a sesitivity to eggplant - it can trigger off muscle pain (both myself and my daughter have this sensitivity). Tomatoes and chillies are in the same group of food. We’re ok with tomatoes but I also have a sensitivity to 🌶️. When I have a fibro flare, I focus on resting and relaxing as stress can be a fibro trigger. Hope this helps.❤

    I use stevia, it's not a substitute sugar and also Pure Cane sweetener, it's made from sugar but has no glycemic affect, it's granulated so you can use it for baking. I got it from Amazon. There is also xylitol which is from birch tree

    Great job on assembling all of your new furniture pieces, they are all cute. You are a furniture assembly expert now! 😃
    I use cat paw chair foot covers on my dining chairs in the winter. In summer, I use felt bottom silicone caps. My chair feet are the diameter of your table legs. I hope little rubber bands worked to hold your chair feet covers on them for you. 😊 Thank you for sharing. 🙌

    Lacking in Vit D sometimes makes you tired and gives you pain -I found eating a banana everyday helps. Get all the blood tests you need - it might give you the answer you’re looking for rather than going to different Drs that can be costly. Most of all meditate and relax more to some classical music before bedtime . Take care of yourself ❤️

    Lou. First thank you for the snacks i purchased. I forgot about them so it was a nice surprise 😂 i also have fibromyalgia, it causes widespread pain and fatigue among other issues. A good Rheumatologist can do a touch test to check for it. Getting enough sleep is important but hard to do. Mild exercise, good diet , meditation helps. Good luck. 😊

    I like all the new jewelry. You’re a beautiful young lady. I also like all the new stuff you got to organize your home for you two. You’re more patient than me when it comes to putting things together. I always hand it off to my husband😜 Be wants to do it anyway.
    We just need to ask God about your diagnosis the Dr. says you have. I have a lot of lower back pain due to arthritis. I’ve worked a lot of jobs on my feet so it just naturally set in over the years. It makes me have no energy and just feel bad. My job is very long hours, so I have to take medicine to help sleep. I think build up of that makes me feel bad also. I’m a year and a half away from retirement. Can’t wait☺️ Going to Alaska cruise to celebrate September 2025. Glad to see things are going well for you.❤
