In this USA vanlife travel vlog, our time in the US in our holiday home on wheels is finally coming to an end. After 3 incredible months of exploring the US in our '97 Dodge Coach House, it's time to get everything packed, cleaned and ready.. and to put her into storage until our next USA road trip begins!
Luckily, we still have our little VW campervan back in the UK which we will be using to explore Europe in the meantime, while we wait to go back to the US to continue our journey.

Hello Joy, or Palomino Joy. They are a couple of beautiful people aren’t they?. Do you watch the VANWIVES , too?. They are two beautiful people as well. They travel the world in their converted Mercedes van. They are gay , to which there is nothing wrong with that at all. They also have a house out in the woods of Canada BC. You should of seen It when they first bought it. It was completely over grown with bushland and the house itself needed a hell of a lot of work to be done. You should see it now , wow !!! …. They each have a dog 🐶 of which they are related to each other. One is called Izzy , the other is called Bella. They are a riot to watching them play together , & very well behaved & trained. When you return to the US in summer, don't miss Mesa Verde. You might need to reserve your visit and or your stay in or near the park and organize the rest of your trip around that. But it gives you a chance to see some pre-Columbian habitations and petroglyphs.
The travel beans is a very watchable and enjoyable channel. The dynamic between two people is far better than a solo vanlifer, even if they do have a dog, cat or whatever. And it's nice to be able to take off during winter and to come back when the weather is more doable. Thanks for the pledge, we need to be reminded of it more often. Take care and travel on !!

You should have stayed another month to get the fall season. You also should plan a cold weather trip and get snow mobiles or snow machines, Emma will love driving one. Be safe.
It appears that you did not hook up a battery maintainer on your van when you left. The battery will lose some of its charge while you are away. The problem is, that when you return, and if the van starts, you will drive off believing everything is fine. But, if the alternator has to work hard in order to charge the battery while you drive, the alternator can overheat and fail. You should keep a battery maintainer hooked up. It will keep your battery fully charged, extend its life, and keep your alternator happy. I have ruined more than one alternator by not using a battery maintainer.

GETTING THE BUGS OFF .... The Bounce Dryer Sheets are also EXACTLY what you needed to GET THE BUGS OFF from the FRONT OF THE VAN. Dampen the sheet with a small bowl of water and get a layer of the "bounce goo" on the bugs, let sit for a minute and then use the same sheet as a scrubber. Is fine on the paint, and this pre-treatment before you wash will get ALL the bugs off. You do have to scrub some, but it's not too much, works magic and it really really works.

As an American, I have enjoyed watching you explore the US so much. I'm glad that you didn't get snowed in before leaving. Winter has arrived with some fierce storms in much of the US already. I'm looking forward to seeing where you go next in Europe. How long do you have to be outside of the US before you can return?

WELL DONE!!! Really enjoyed this series. I get the sense that if I were to meet you two that you'd be no different than what we see on camera. You guys are really genuine and it comes across really well in the content you produce. I would say that the part I enjoyed the most was you guys working so hard to eliminate the pests. I know you can sympathize with our present reality here in Texarkana, Texas as we wait for our van's new transmission to be installed :( Eight days and counting but eventually we will be on the road to Mexico again. I wish to join the chorus appreciating your video channel. It was refreshing to see and hear folks from out of the country enjoy the fruits of the great nation of the USA. It is quite large, equal to all of Europe and Scandanavia besides. I once, in my youth did a slight visit of 6 months to Europe including even London. Do it all in your youth filled with wonderment and energy. You, as you know will not regret it. The enjoyment of life, time and our planet.

If next year, you come back to mice issues, take butter/cool whip bowls…puncture holes in lids. Fill bowls with moth balls, put lids on and set around your storage area, when store again.

My favorite part was when you were watching sunset on the beach and Alex was saying that it would be super American if people clapped when the sun slipped away. Right after he said that people starting cheering as the sun went below the horizon and Alex face was priceless!!!
Your Pledge of Allegiance was beautiful - brought tears to my eyes. And I chuckled when you mentioned being in Colorado was "close" to warmer places like Arizona or California! Only if you count 13 to 17 hours driving as "close"! 😀
MIce don't like peppermint. You can put some essential oil on a cotton ball and leave in various places, including the engine bay. Just sayin'. Loved the trip, my personal favorite was the buffalo jam...and some of those spectacular views!! Can't wait for the next adventure!

Tips from your Midwest American follower… former London & Istanbul resident…. so ready for some real fish & chips! Repeatedly disappointed trying to find here in the midwest!
Probably too late this time but a few tips for the future. If someone else has already mentioned I apologize.
1. Add Stabil or similar product to the gas to keep moisture out and keep the gas more stable for next start.
2. Increase tire pressures some to try and avoid flats spots on tires.
3. Put van batteery on a trickle charger to keep it charged and healthy. You have an AC outlet so that is a must to avoid coming back to a dead battery.

For the mice, Peppermint soaked in desiccant packets( saved from things like shoe boxes) put in slightly cut ziplock bags and the ultrasonic pest repellant units. Also leaves your trailer smelling wonderful for months after. As we approach retirement here in Western Canada, I love the RV storage as we were wondering were we could leave our trailer below the snow belt. And yes, to Canadians, Denver will be below the snow belt. Happy Travels
Ask the storage place if the can put Damp X in your camper…they sell them in buckets and also bags that can hang. They suck the moisture out of the air and helps to reduce moisture when you reopen. We had a 38’ camper in Illinois and we used it every fall when we winterize. It helps with smell and mildew/mold
The mousecamper is waiting for both of you, they will keep it warm, lol.
