I agree, putting them together like this gives a very good picture, they get a bit drowned out by having all the transmissions inbetween, but they make for a good standalone. I can't wait for Dead Space 2 remake, I love audio logs so much and finding out what happened!
5:14 gotta say out of all the audio for the remake, this one is my most favorite out of all the changes they did with them. Something about actually hearing and “witnessing” Henderson loosing his mind is so gut wrenching and unnerving

You know, where you find the log, you can find the sink the audio is based around and actually see Henderson's teeth in it. Pretty freaky but so good for immersion!
One of my favorite additions to the remake are the Chic and White blogs. We finally get to know what happened to them after DS Downfall. I also want to believe that Chic and the few remaining bridge crew were the authors of the sea chant we found in a server hold but maybe I'm wrong. Anyway, I would have loved it if they had put a couple of logs and/or holograms of Alissa Vincent and her crew, showing events from the movie. That would be really cool (Like for example, the shooting in hydroponics or in the mess hall).
I totally agree! I would've loved that which is also something I half expected with the remake expanding on the exploration of the ship and its story, but maybe we get that in another dead space game (Hopefully) Dead Space Downfall really did have characters I liked a lot. My hopes is they will do that for another Game/Sequel, showing more events of what happened before The USG Kellion reaches the Ishimura, both on and off Aegis VII. I think Downfall, The Graphic Novel and Extraction does show us a lot but, would be nice with another game in that regard. Thank you for your comment btw, I totally feel what you mean and I agree!

Good stuff all around with this remake. 14:35 Supervisor Dallas’s Choice Log is kick ass too. So brutal and wicked-awesomely, realistically acted. Gives story to the screams you hear wandering the halls of the Ishimura.

@@cb-9938 Yes, that would be something, or maybe another animated movie based on altman, or on Aegis VII before the coverup of the marker, that would be something. The novels are worth a read for sure and the wiki for the history of Dead Space and the markers
The audio logs were the best back in the original, and I was gald that remake enhanced most of them the best way possible. Especially they added animate prequel "Downfall" characters and connections. I remember in all bridge staff, Chic was the only one left out in the original. At least they mentioned Alissa as "Chief Vincent" few times in these logs, and one text log written by her personally under the colony (I was thrilled while reading that). If only they have some recorded or audio logs left by her, so we can finally see what happened to her, because I doubt she would go down without a fight, like how she sacrifice herself in Downfall.
I vaguely remember in the original there was a log voiced by Chic himself. It had a slightly more American accent than English but I remember the voice referred to itself as "Second Officer Chic"

Mercer is a really good villain, I think his death was maybe better in the original game with the vidlog, I can agree it did not feel as satisfying in the remake as it could've been since they built up his evil doings, but the marker was done with him I guess :D.
I kind of disagree. In the original, Mercer became a Necromorph of his own will. So while we killed him that way, he technically died on his own terms. In the remake however, he lived just long enough to realize that he had outlived his usefulness to the marker. Hearing the shock and betrayal in his voice made his death in the remake better in my opinion.
Oh Sure I could do some Ambiance Videos, I just finished a different game project so I could come back to Dead Space and make some content, this is actually recorded on the planet inside of the Colony at the start of Chapter 12, but the ship has some awesome ambiance locations aswell 🐈Thank you for your comment and will let you know when I have a few videos to show

No worries! I'm happy with this video and that it brings out fans like me for Dead Space. And I totally agree, I miss the original voice actors so much, the model and voice was perfect in the original game. The new model and voice really didn't work for me after we've had perfection. After listening to a couple of Jacob Temple’s logs, like the ones where he mentions “old boyfriends” and was about to talk about someone named David, something along the lines of “After David, I never thought I (would find love again)” which he might’ve said before stopping, does that mean Temple might be one of the few openly queer characters from the franchise that we know of? I might be reading too deep into it, but it just has me curious.
The line delivery makes it sound perhaps he means he had old boyfriends but I think he means hers, then again I think depending on who wrote the log directions on the dev team it could mean either. Games these days have a sort of score system where including orientations/diversity gets a sort of bump up so taking that into account it could be read into as he likes both men and women. That would also mean he's been around the block on the ship before settling with her so it could be open to interpretation for sure. Like a score of old exes chasing him after death and recombination. Scary stuff

Man, you really grow to hate Mercer more than in the original, yet you're denied the satisfaction of shooting him
