Thanks VERMISIMILITUDE! So many of these were a real headache to find, especially that last cryptic side mission puzzle! Massive thanks for stopping by, hope your week is going great so far!
Great videos! Just wanna add an important fact that custom lockdown can be achieved even if you are play NG+ and already have the master override. When you start playing the NG+, don’t activate the “You are not authorized” in the captain nest, don’t pick up any rigs, and don’t open any master override locked door. When you reach this master override door at 35:40 in the mining deck, just stand in front of it for a few seconds(don’t open it directly!) and this log will be obtained.
Such a good game, I'm so glad it's gotten a resurgence of popularity with the remaster. This is an excellent resource video and your YT chapters are really slick. Hopefully YT will serve this in search results so people can find the logs with your help 😀
Thank you very much Cynic Placebo! 😊 I agree, Dead Space remake really hit the spot! Motive Studio went above and beyond fine tuning this one in order to make it a truly great experience, one that I found even more enjoyable than the original. Haha yeah, I hope many people will get a chance to check out my log guide through search and recommended vids, although I know Resident Evil 4 remake videos are really soaking up the spotlight right now! 😅 As always, huge thanks for dropping by, it's always a pleasure talking! 😃
And it only took a decade to get it out! 😂 It's a great remake, but after all the corrupted video files and 8 playthroughs in just over a week, I also don't think I want to see Isaac again for at least another decade... Thanks Namze!
I can see it! At least we now know what the interior of the starship would look like if it ever suffered from a Necromorph outbreak! (I really want to see a mass effect Dead Space crossover now!🤣). Huge thanks for dropping by Cranky, always appreciated!
Thanks for this great video! I'm still missing a few logs and I'm gonna rely on this video during my next NG+ playthrough to get the missing ones. One question though. It shows at 57:22 how your side missions tab is still missing 3 logs, but from there on you seem to be gathering only 2 for that side missions tab, both in the break room in chapter 4. So what might be the final one for the side missions branch of logs? I wonder this because I too am currently missing 3 from the side missions tab and I know 2 of them are the break room ones so that's where I can get those 2. But what about that single missing one?
No problem, glad I could be of help! About 57:22, it shows 3 missing, but that's because I had to splice together older footage, as I had to go through multiple files due to recording errors. Of the 3 not found logs, this file (footage shown at 57:22) didn't have the: Custom Lockdown log (0:35:25) Unknown log (1:00:45) & Strange Shanty log (1:01:37) Good luck with the log hunting, hope this helps!
@@OutlawClient Thanks for clearing this up! No wonder I had missed the one at chapter 7 master override door as there was no reason to try that door at a point where I knew I couldn't open it. However this brings up a new bad problem: in a NG+ playthrough I already have the master override (only the clearance levels 1-3 needed to gain again as the story progresses), so in NG+ trying that door in chapter 7 just instantly opens it without that Kendra's message playing I'd guess. Ok before posting this reply I just went and verified this. I happened to have one NG+ playthrough save just before Leviathan in chapter 6 with the master override in my pocket, so I shot the big one and then went to that door in chapter 7... and lo, the door instantly opens and that log does NOT play, still leaving my side missions tab missing those 3. And I've done the master override side mission in every playthrough, meaning that the log database is doomed as incomplete forever in ALL of my current NG+ options! The only way to have all the logs would be to restart the whole game and go to that door before getting the override. What's even more frustrating, I would have to do this in IMPOSSIBLE mode, because I would want to have that neat silver suit available in the same campaign/savefiles where I would have the complete log database. I've already done impossible for the achievement (and have the log database doomed incomplete in its NG+ option) and I wouldn't want to sweat with it AGAIN for an entire campaign just to have a chance at complete log database. Darn! I really love your help here good sir, I'm just a little pissed at the devs as they apparently made the game so that one can NOT complete the log database in NG+ if one missed that super-easily missable door thing in chapter 7 but did complete the master override side mission, which I have done in every playthrough so far including my impossible run. So basically I'm punished for being thorough with the game.
@@obuhsamateus2298 100% Agree with you about how ridiculous the custom lockdown log is! I feel the same way with many of the logs, especially the ones where you have to wait, or purposely fail the task (although as you mentioned, the master security clearance carries over to NG+ making it even worse). It's like they're saying: "so you missed that log? Looks like you'll have to start your playthrough all over again!" or reload your save file at the very least (which I'm sure many won't have multiple save files for each chapter...) It's the main thing that pushed me to make this guide, in hope that others wouldn't have nearly as much of a headache trying to figure it out the first time like I did lol. Gah, it sucks that you aren't able to get it, especially on your impossible mode save file, but I guess the upside is that at least all of them aren't needed for 100% trophies/achievements. But it's definitely still annoying! I might investigate this a little more to see if there's some other way to activate it!
@@OutlawClient I hear you! I have multiple saves in every chapter from my first campaign run but that's all in medium difficulty and from my impossible run I only have one save in chapter 12 just before the Hive Mind so not help from there, would have to do it all again in impossible mode to get BOTH the special suit & all logs. Yea it sucks a bit but I guess there can be much worse harm in life and also in gaming than this lol. (EDIT: concerning your idea of investigating the issue more, just please don't bother that for me alone, kind as you are. At some point I might go for an impossible run again anyway and I'll just grab that chapter 7 log while I'm at it.) I really appreciate guys like you doing work like this to help the rest of us. I wish You all the best in life!
@@OutlawClient An update. So the "custom lockdown" log in chapter 7 turns out to be even nastier case! I actually went and started a new campaign run on impossible difficulty. Not just to get that damn log but for several reasons (my first impossible NG+ setup just wasn't ideal). And guess what! When I reached chapter 7... nope, no log for me. All I'm getting when trying the door is the general "ha you don't get to open this door you little bitch" message from the Ishimura computer. I take it that the log unlocks and plays ONLY if the player has not activated the RIG collecting side mission in chapter 4 (where one is meant to activate it...)!! Apparently the custom lockdown message serves as another way to activate the side mission in case the player missed/ignored it in chapter 4. And because I'm playing the impossible mode and have only one save slot of course I don't have a save in chapter 4 before the captain's nest... So, yea, AGAIN I'm not getting it, now just because I did activate the side mission in chapter 4. And I won't be getting the log in NG+ either because I want all weapon upgrade graphs unlocked for NG+ and that requires the master override which in turn will disable the log in NG+. At this point the whole thing borders on "f*ck you player" attitude on the part of devs. I could be pissed at this if it wasn't so ridiculous. I definitely won't be restarting the impossible run just for this. I've come to deeply disliking that one log anyway lol. I don't know if it's possible to edit an already uploaded youtube video, but if it is it could be advisable to add a warning text on the chapter 4 part of this video instructing viewers to NOT ACTIVATE the RIG collecting side mission in the captain's nest if they want the custom lockdown log in chapter 7 (well as far as I've come to interpret this mess). Anyway, just letting you know this little twist. Best regards!
Nice, comprehensive guide, dude! I’m not an achievement Hunter by any stretch, but this video seems like it’d be extremely useful for those looking for all of them! So is the remake worth checking out? I played the original a bit ago and thought it was great, but I held off on the remake thinking it was just the same game re-skinned with updated graphics. Is it still worth playing?
Thank you AngryDadGaming! I definitely tried to make it as helpful as possible In addition to the graphical overhaul, they also made some modifications to the stage layout, so you can more freely explore the ship, in addition to reworking most of the weapons and even slightly altering the story! In short: hell yes, it's definitely worth it! *(Unless you're recovering from the trauma of having to play through the game repeatedly after video file corruptions, and now the very sight of logs sends you into shock... 🥲) Otherwise go for it! P.S. Playing at night with a pair of headphones and only the light of your screen is the only correct way to play it! 😝
I have a question for the Audio Log: Costum Lockdown Do you have to get those rig later so that audio log play because I collect a few and the audio log did't play as I try to went to the door like you did Could you let me know if I have to get the rig later and the audio log play or does it still play if I got few out of them?
Sorry for the late reply. Not sure if you found out already, but the most consistent method seems to be trying to activate the door in chapter 7 BEFORE you've obtained all of the rigs, so picking up a few should be fine, as long as it isn't all of them! (I've also been informed by another user that it's also possible to get it to play on NG+ as long as you don't pick up any of the rigs before trying the door, and instead just standing in front of it for a few seconds)
Nice going here, that’s insane you’ve covered ALL LOG LOCATIONS 100%!!!!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

For some reason, tissue sample on chapter 6, won’t register for me on my first walk-through or on new game plus😢
great guide this must have been a lot of work
damn the one in chapter 4 with the brute has me SALTY. Do you need that one to get the achievement or will I have to do this on a second play through?
I had issues with “A tissue sample” When I pick up the sample it doesn’t register in the list of completed audio logs. HELP!!!
Thanks man 💪🏽 this helped out a lot on a few I missed.

You can say that again! There were some well and truly evil decisions made by those devs.🤣
