- The struggle is especially real when you aren’t a native Arabic speaker and are memorizing without knowing what you’re saying. Until I learned Arabic, I used all of these methods when I was memorizing and more but I couldn’t fit all the methods into 30 seconds! Would a part 2 be helpful?

Very inspiring as an Egyptian who already knows Arabic seeing non Arabs determined to memorize the Qur’an even with all the difficulties in reading and reciting Arabic masha’Allah. It’s also motivational became I was blessed by knowing Arabic already so if people who can memorize Qur’an without even speaking Arabic I should be able to.
READ QURAN EVERYDAY AND NEVER IGNORE YOUR FIVE DAILY PRAYERS..

Even without any effort to memorise them. I even understand the root word of ‘hasyara’ and ‘nadaa’..

Understanding the meaning definitely helps. Also tafsir like Tafsir ibn Kathir helps us to understand the circumstances when the verses were revealed. After that memorizing feels like a piece of cake. Just started the long journey. In sha Allah

In my country, we just recited the verses repeatedly to memorise, may be repeating for 40 times, without the need to understand the meaning. And through the time, the students can understand the meaning gradually. That’s one of the miracle of al-Quran, without the understanding of the meaning, you can still memorise it.
It's not a miracle that you memorised something that you recited repeatedly.

I failed i startee reading quraan with meaning i would have different goals not memorize and learn the meaning at same time and i don't have a quraan with meaning yet so i used to weite the meaning also in udru which i understand being adhd i undertood it was too much for me
This will work im very good at imagination doodling and signs work for me ill try all and start my journey again thank u for being a blessing sister also i recommend searching for a mufti who would tell the meaning of the verse in ur native language it makes understanding vety easy alhamdulillah may allh make it easy for us

May Allah make it easy for you. If you're an auditory learner, start by listening to it over and over, insyaAllah you'll get over the difficulty. My prayers for you
Just an advice, when your acting out the meaning don't do it when you're reading the attributes of Allah azza wajall. Example if you're reading "إنه بصير بالعباد" don't point to your eyes or anything same with the "إنه سميع عليم"
Don't point to your ears because that'll be comparing Allah to his creation. Peace ✌️

Sister, I want to share with you 2 true stories :
1ST TRUE STORY
Once, the companions were mentioning someone they impressed to Prophet Muhammad pbuh, for his piety, that he devoted his time praying.
The prophet then asked, who supports his necessities daily needs, they reply, they did.
He said, "You are better than him".
2ND TRUE STORY
I read in the article recent years, a woman who was in medical sector was about to retire.
She had accumulated enough savings in her lifetime to reap her effort, i.e, go for vacations, do business, etc., but she was not certain what to do best.
When she made her pilgrimage to Mecca, she said to God that she wants to be a good servant to Him, she asked God to show her the best choice that will please Him. She got a couple of choices.
Finally, God inspired her to be a nurse, not as an employee, but she established her own centres, serving her community.
LESSONS:
1. Doing prayer in worship houses full time (Mosque/Church/Temple/Others) is good, but it's an 'easy' job.
It's as though a sanctuary from the storm of life.
In our belief, those who left their family to do full time devoted in worship houses, without supporting his family (parents/wife/kids) is an act of irresponsibility, and are totally wrong. This happens due to lack of knowledge/understanding (Ignorance).
2. Shows that serving human needs (money/food/medical/etc) sincerely for the cause of the Creator (not for fame/popular/money/etc) is the most pleases God.
“The most beloved people to God are those who are most beneficial to people. " - Meaning of the saying of your last Prophet to mankind.
THEREFORE :
* Face life head-on.
* Ride the storm.
* Bite the bullet.
* Contribute your earnings, to your family FIRST.
* Do charity
* Do not say, "Why me?" But, "Thanks, it's me", because with patience, the reward is Heaven.
✔️No millionaires nor billionaires or their wealth combined could buy heaven, but the patience in you, riding the storm of life sincerely, provided you are a Believer.

Assalamualaikum.I am a non Arab and I started learning arabic grammar so that I understand Quran.I even bought a WORD TO WORD translation of the Quran.but Iam unable to find the motivation and consistency to do it alone.Seeing the way you have written ,I realised I have been learning in a similar way of writing and understanding.Wanted to do combined learning.
