Yup! My brothers teacher is somali this is how they learnt. Allah is merciful he moved us across the road from an Uncle who taught my 3 brothers hifdh. My youngest brother has nearly completed his hifdh too.
Amazing JK bro. My story is that I always wanted to become hafidh from the age of about 10. Begged my dad to let me join the hafidh class which my elder bro was already in. Had to beg cos obviously my folks knew me and my difficulty in learning. That was 37 years ago and the classes ended when I'd become saturated by the time I reached 21 Juz having started from 30th Para. I had started with lots of motivation and had been learning about a para a month, but my final para I had been stuck on it for a year. Later (in 2008, so about 20 years later) I realised it was dyslexia I had and got a diagnosis. I'm currently relearning everything and am juat finishing off Surah Yusuf as well as already having learnt 29th, 28th and most of 27th Juz. This method you just mentioned, I'm gonna try and utilise it IA. May Allah accept from you and us all.. WS bro and may Allah give you more eloquence to spread the message even farther...
As-salamu 3alaikom w rahmat Allahi w barakato brother May Allah grant you 'afiyah and ease in memorizing the Quran and good in both lives and protect us from hellfire, ameen. There is a special font made for dyslexic people in English that you may find helpful! Search it up! May it be a source of benefit and make your life easier in sha Allah. I do not know if there is an Arabic version for it, but Quran is meant to be memorized by speech, so you dont have to read it if you find it hindering you. You can commit the memory to your heart by listening and repeating b'idthn Allah (by Allah's Will). Take care
May Allah free you from dyslexia & whatever barriers holding you back. May Allah make you a hafiz & reach your goals & make it easy & successful for you in this world & after. And may Allah free Palestine. Ameen.

This is not the Mauretanian way, it is the North African (Maghrebian) and west African way of studying Quran. The whole region studied it this way.
Exactly, you’re right.
They are given a title Called Goni here in Nigeria
Same in Senegal
And Mauritania is located where?
Mauritania is a West African country having boundaries with North African countries.
