Hey man I just got the Taurus g3 after watching yours and others videos on it and was wondering what the size difference is between the g3 and the tx22 compact? Thanks for all of your videos man keep it up
I have had the full size TX22 almost since release and it has been dead reliable through almost 2,000 rds. So if that says anything about what Taurus is doing now as a company, this new compact should be equally as good. Thanks for sharing.
I'm not sure on the older ones but I just got a new tx22 compact and wow that things amazes me , it has the 22 round clip, and it will eat any and everything. Shot 500 rounds the first day I got it, allot of those shots were as fast as I could pull the trigger, not even one hiccup. I've never had a 22 pistol to do that and I have the Ruger mark 4 , the old Browning Taurus knocked it way outta the park on this gun
I love my TX22, but I'm not sure I see the need for a compact 22. Though if I didn't already have the full size and was picking between the two it's possible that I could go with the compact I suppose.
Thank you man.. literally just wanted to know if it came with thread adapter. NJ makes you qualify to CCW, so I’m using a cheat code with a 22LR with this gun. After you pass, you can list a few others to carry.. Yes, I could train with better calibers (I’m decent with 9mm etc), but not cheap in NJ to do so. Try finding a backyard to plink in for free without having cops called on you..
I have a full size TX. I love it. Would like to put better sights sometime. No hurry. I like the3 dot it came with ok. I am left handed and shoot mostly left handed. I find the mag release to work fine as is. Just use my trigger finger to dump it. The ambi safety is a must though. I don't see the need for the compact for me. I have a PT22 if I want to carry a small 22. Nice overview of this pistol. I appreciate your work.
I grabbed the 1st one at my local Academy. All the reviews of the TX22, they had to have it refined for this compact. I like the trigger, weight, grasp, sights are plain Jane but good nuff. The mag is interesting loading. I can take the mag slide down easily but the top of the mag, where we load it, seems tight, binding instead of a open metal mag. I have to say 4 jams in 300 rounds isn't giving me faith in it. Velocitor, stinger, minimag and aguila jam at the top of the chamber. That small feeder ramp needs to be at the top! Looking at the bullet angle to the barrel, it looks like it completely misses the ramp - but - as it slides forward the tip may dip. I don't know what it is, but ordered some of the 16rd mags from Taurus- maybe tried mags will work better. I have a box of Remington Golden bullets I was trying in my Ruger MK2 and they had 3 jams and one full explosion in less than 20 rounds. Blew powder in my face, completely blew the primer cap off the back of the shell. Very glad I didn't try them in my Compact. I have the rest of that 525 rd box, and 7-100 rd boxes. Hope they work better in something else! I read the TX22 had barrel problems in the beginning and Taurus got new barrels out. But my barrel is clean after shooting, everything is fun, it's light like you said, and you'll see ya can't slow fire it. But that jam, right at the top of the chamber, is irritating. Thanks for the review. Always fun. When you do take it to the range mention if you/compact have a preferred ammo.
Wouldn't blame the gun I'd blame your ammo. 22lr is very unreliable ammo It isn't the 22 gun that's a reliable piece of metal its the 22lr ammo that makes a 22 pistol unreliable
How are you loading your mags? If you're pulling the follower all the way to the bottom (like many 22's), you most likely will get some jams. Since the TX mags are stagger-stacked, you have to load cartridges one at a time. They probably included a little black speed loader in the box when ya bought it. Takes a bit longer to load, but things line up and the gun should run well after that
I received an email from Taurus earlier this week: they're releasing the Taurus TS9 (basically the TX22 chambered in 9mm) in the United States!! Have you ever shot that pistol?
Try the Cylee Cat an use 704 Tact code which I think is Cat15 an try that Rmsc red or green dot!! I wanna get one for my TX22 compact off Amazon , I have a Cylee Wolfo which is RMR an is great... but just a suggestion boss!!! Keep up the great vids!!!
I just picked mine up yesterday at Rual King got it for 299 beans an love it ...jus wondering do u oil it up or do u just run it right out the box just wondering??
Clean it first and very light oil. Run CCI Mini Mags 40 grain. Taurus recommends the guns to be cleaned first. Through 600 shots of my OG TX-22, no jams, etc with CCI 40 grain. I have had three out of 150 of Aguila 40 grain.
I have the full size tx22 I have tandem cross hig sights open and i can change from open to small circle range sights works great very good sights Tandem cross has flat triggers.check Tandem cross out if you haven't yet
I just got a TX22 compact over the weekend. Already have 400 rounds through it. I like it. Not in love, but it'll serve its role. Test a Swampfox optic on it! I like Swampfox!
@Paul Carlin the hump on the back of the grip. The finger groove. But it points well, fits my hands, decent. Runs great! Buy it, you won't be disappointed.
I’m just about to buy my first handgun, and I’m trying to choose between the TX 22 compact and competition. You have both now. Any suggestions for a newbie on the best starting place? I figure the competition would shoot flatter with less recoil, but the compact would be easier to carry.
It is up to you. Neither will have any noticeable recoil. I would probably suggest the compact to start with. Check the link in the pinned comment to my Locals post on this gun. I did a follow-up video there, and also a link to a good deal on the compact.
Liked the review! Looking to get this CC for my wife and daughter in these troubled times. Please try it with the recommended Riton 3 Tactix MPRD that comes mounted from the factory version. (see their website) or whichever optic you choose. Really interested in a follow up review! Subbed! Cheers from Texas!
Thank you. I did a follow-up video on Locals as well. I do a bunch of extra content there. I am going to try the Cyelee Cat first, that seemed to be the most requested so far. I also am curious about the riton as well.
Good review as usual. I just got full size. I like the option of the optic cut on the compact and those slide cuts do look cool. I just wonder if they may be a garbage collector. I also like the sights, ejection port, the larger grip, the higher capacity mags on the 4 inch model. It is a pretty sharp looking pistol though. Good job Taurus!
Are you sure those magazines are BOTH 13 rounds? One is received like I see in your video is flush and the other one sticks out. I think one is 10 round and the other is 13. Can you let me know on this. The label on my box says 2 x 13 but they are different lengths.
Just bought mine. Its beautiful but man is the finish bad and already starting to wear😢. Cant complain for the price point. Cant wait to ruuuuun this thing.
The standard or competition would prob be better if y9ou have large hands. . Checkout my other video on my Locals page if you are interested in seeing more of both. The link is in the pinned comment.

A little thick for a small 22lr (similar thickness of a glock 26).

HOW can you even keep track of the daily changes in yutube policies????
