It is kind of nice to finally have a .22 pistol thats not ammo fussy. Mine is a compact and only malfunctions were federal champion related.7 to 800 rounds so far. I did notice when mags are loaded you should turn them on their back, pull down on loading buttons and shake or tap on it,it lines bullets up perfect in mags.
If the idea of the Compact was for a SD carry pistol in .22lr (avoid arguing about whether the .22lr is appropriate), I think Taurus should have shorten the grip to 10/11 rounds and made the height of the gun about the same as the Glock 26 being 4". It's the grip that prints. I have the standard model, but got the Competition Kit and added a dot to it. Just put a TK Pro Comp on it, when I finish this comment I putting Talon Grips on it, and then the TK Victory Trigger. Extremely reliable and accurate. With the right ammo I would carry a 4" high Compact if I needed to. Don't need to 'cause I have sufficient center fire handguns for the task. But there is something to having only one handgun that you can carry and shoot many thousand or rounds through it. At .06-10 cents a round you can afford to do that with the TX22.
I think the best way to carry the compact is a IWB holster for concealment. I hope no one would consider carrying the compact in their pocket, how would you get it out of your pocket? This would be a great home defense pistol with a light on it.
Can you compare the TX22 and the compact where the slide meets the guide rod to see if that part is thicker? The original TX22 had an issue where the slide would break in that area.
I don't know why Taurus couldnt put a 16 round magazine in that compact. I mean, kel tec builds a 16 round in their p17 and it's a lot smaller that the tx22 sub compact
Hey old friend! Hope you are doing well. I have the TX 22 Gen 2 Toro on order. I’m sure you will be getting one as well. As always appreciate your content!!
Good to hear from you! It has been a long time. I hope things are going good for you. I did see this new model that came out. I nearly bought one, but decided to hold for now.
@@gunsaccessories8853 I have the Compact and it is the first 22 handgun that fires all Winchester white box with no problems… So I had to have the new one of course. I picked up the GX4 Carry TORO as well. Can’t believe how far Taurus has come along these recent years!
Man I bought the full size and it’s a jammer. High velocity stingers, it doesn’t matter what kind of ammo, it’s having cycling issues, and it’s horribly inaccurate. I’m selling it off and gonna go back to m&p 22. Sucks, I was really hoping to like the Tx22
Best looking 22 on themarket and very, very reliable.
I bought a second compact flag edition Taurus rocks!
LakeLine marksman barrel and optic slides , barrel w/recoil spring 150. Slide from 150.

Great comparison video. Wonder if you could put the compact slide on the regular frame and add a compensator. 😊

From a shooting standpoint, is there much difference between the compact and competition??
Mine just came in .great to see you making content.
I prefer the smaller grip on the P322. Better sights, and optics ready, and comes in not a cardboard box.
Anybody aware of who might be making a holster for the Taurus TX 22 Compact?

Some local stores have the Compact for around $300. It’s definitely interesting. If I didn’t have the full size already, I’d definitely get one
Which one do you prefer between the compact and competition???

Will the threaded barrel adaptor for the standard tx22 fit the Tx22 compact?
Do you have a backup place we can find you? I really enjoy your content and vids. You got me into 22lr shooting.
I am probably going to make a couple places real soon. I will make a video or post about it. Thank You!!
Is the compact louder than the regular TX 22?
Anything to fill the gap when using the standard mag in the compact?
Does the compact share a holster with the full size version?
Elevation not adjustable. Does it shoot to point of aim without optic?
I wish Taurus would make this in 380 and 9mm it would be amazing!
They do
Check out the Taurus pt 809
