This is why eelectross is one of my favorite pokemon. Most people who dont already know about it are not expecting a pure electric type to be immune to ground type moves and it has caught so many people off guard.
And that's the reason why I always, if possible, hunt for a tynamo in any Pokemon game I play. I actually found out about this in Pokemon black from way back.
They weren't counting specific moves that are exceptions, just the type matchups themselves. They briefly showed Mold Breaker as an exception, though, as it gets around the lack of weaknesses. However, Gravity and Smack Down, while they do provide a loophole letting a future Ground-type move hit them, are not themselves super effective. Thousand Arrows is the only attack that's an exception, as far as I can tell, but it's only actually in gen 7, unless you count hacking gen 6 I think. It was made unselectable in gen 8 and fully removed in gen 9. So... Its not really a workaround anymore.
Well yes they technically don’t have a weakness since they are immune to ground attacks. The only way they can be hit super effectively is if the opponent has mold breaker or thousand arrows is used but that’s based on the opposing Pokémon and what they have so u still have no weaknesses yourself. Wether they have ways to surpass u having no weaknesses is a different story.

@@SinclairLocke DUDE EVERY POKEMON HAS ONE COUNTER, STILL THOUGH NO WEAKNESS IS A REALLY GOOD FEAT
Tynamo!! Honestly, it's always been one of my favorites-
A weak trainer is a Pokemon's greatest weakness.
And that's the reason why I always, if possible, hunt for a tynamo in any Pokemon game I play. I actually found out about this in Pokemon black from way back.
Moldbreaker excadrill :)
Love the lol haxorus mold breaker wave. 10/10
After all this time I finally know what mold breaker does
Gravity and smack down laughing in the corner
*guffaws in Thousand Arrows*
No matter what you do to your electric type, Thousand arrows will be here to ruin the fun for you
Smack down and gravity: laughs in earthquake
“They have no weaknesses, with a few exceptions” so they have weaknesses
Well yes they technically don’t have a weakness since they are immune to ground attacks. The only way they can be hit super effectively is if the opponent has mold breaker or thousand arrows is used but that’s based on the opposing Pokémon and what they have so u still have no weaknesses yourself. Wether they have ways to surpass u having no weaknesses is a different story.

Wait same thing apply to shedinja holding the balloon
@@KaranVir-go2xs fire
@@PooPooDoggo wonder guard ability save it from such attack with only exception of ground type moves but with balloon ground type attack wouldn't work
It doesn't matter, as long as we have a move that hits the pokemon, we're good
As long as it takes damage, it takes damage.
They need to give us a poison dark type with levitate
Also Earth Eater.
Is there a poison type or a dark type with levitate? Asking for a fusion player lol
@@dragonwaz Gastly, Haunter, Gengar (in earlier gens), Koffing, Weezing and Hydreigon.
Being resistant is often plenty. Grass type is a great counter to electric (almost like it was intentional or something)
Imagine a water ground type pokemon that had sapsipper
Mold Breaker, Teravolt, etc...: Well, hello there.
Freeze-Dry🗿
@@gonzahilgert2189 fair point
Mold Breaker, yes, but also: Smack Down.
And gravity
We need a Levitate Poison/Dark mon, could work as a Pokemon used by an evil team leader

The first poison/dark…
*RIDLEY HITS THE BIG TIME*
@Cavereous we have Poison/Dark already, just not with levitate. It's a murder bug, not a space dragon.
@@willausterman3104 I always though drapion was bug/dark but whatever also I wish ridley was in pokemon that would be badass
Or Normal Ghost levitator with Stephen Colbur.
If only shedinja was in Scarlet and Violet😔
Lovely Tynamo. I love the whole line.
This is even funnier because you see the very special case that ruins tynamo WHEN YOU FIGHT THE SUBWAY BOSSES. Ingo's haxorus is hilariously devastating, it gets me every time. Really just the ultimate sibling bullying imo
I feel like everyone who fought Cynthia in gen 5 will know the answer
And they'd be wrong
@@1000Tomatoes But Elektross is literally the answer?? I said gen 5 not gen 4
Not only did i get it right, i answered before you even finished the question.
I loved that little electric eel-you know before the transition to 3d made it look stupid and derpy.
