I thought Tristana was such a random pick for this skinline but when I saw the concept art I was convinced. The firefly jar is just SO cute. Although I wish we got some male champ faerie court skins as well.
She’s also an actually interesting fairy design.

the only male champs that have faerie court skins are Ezreal and Rakan (they look feminine or are feminized by the community... Ezreal best League girl fr) and Millio, that it's just a kid.

Faerie Court Swain was something that came to my mind when thinking about male champions that could maybe have a place on the skinline, it would be interesting how they make the old dictator guy fit on the skinline (Mothman angle?!)

@@Yanshiwan While it's true that he uses a grading system rather than a tier system, he still sometimes uses "S" as a ranking here, but it's rare that he does. When he _does_ use it, it's better than A rank.

Just curious why it is not graded S instead of A if this skin doesn't seem to have flaws in it and the ideas are so well executed
I think he reserves S grade to things that just makes people excited and universally agree that it's great.
Or maybe it's just Skyen being Skyen again, he does sometimes give out weird grades; like he explains why is it mediocore and just underwhelming but has some great points and then grades it C or D
Maybe because it just does well, but it doesn't stand out.
Compared to the concept of dragon trainer tristana, this is just a bit below. No one can beat a dragon hatchling as cannon
It’s probably since the skin doesn’t fail in any regard, but it doesn’t go further than that.
S tiers is (what is assume) where the skins that get extra credit goes.
Creative, Exciting, Fitting.
If it lacks in any of these characteristics, it diminishes their grade.
It has to be different.
It has to be cool.
It has to be related to their story.
Basically, the basics to skin design.
In this case, the cannon was lacking in something that I do not know, but I felt like it was lacking something that made it "cool." It was creative, and it was fitting, but just missing a little touch of something to make it cooler, with a little lack of excitement.

This is a great skin, but I paused at the end and noticed something I can't unsee now. She blinks her eyes out of sync with each other, left THEN right. I have no idea if that's intended but it IS hilarious

I'm a sucker for Tinkerer Fairies. Lil Artificers making hodge-podge weapons out of everyday objects. Tristana absolutely sells that idea with this skin and executes it remarkably. I hope to see more of this idea explored if they revisit this skin line again.
Had to watch the video twice, cause I was so distracted by the details in Tristana's eyes on the splash art. Riot artists really go above and beyond for these, its absolutely amazing

I mean, all of the yordles would be perfect candidates for a fairy skin line, it’s basically what they’re based off of with their chaotic, free-spirited natures. Hell, we even have some that work good if they decide to make some under the unseelie vibe such as Vex, Amumu, and Veigar.

A is everything is excellent, S is everything is excellent and then there is something more, something unique and inspired.
This is great, every part of it is very well done, but there isn't the something more.

A good skin is a cosmetic that fundamentally changes the character to almost a different character in design.

I didn't even know this skin existed and now I want to start playing League again just to have it 😭 I'm not gonna invest in this right now but if/when I ever start playing again there's a real risk I might lol. Trist is just such a good character, most of her skins (since around 2017-18) are bangers.

I also want this to be real, my current arena defense is Candy, Belian, Green Luluca, and the last unit, ive been changing it every now and then because i dont have anything else. Now im in mystic pity but maybe except for bmhaste or mltywin, the defense can still be broken with ignore defense units, if this is real, she is the perfect addition to my team.
