Took my son in for an open minded fitting last night not knowing the pedigree of Srixon, numbers and feel did not lie. He ended up ordering the zx7 and is excited. I'm blown away.
I love srixon. I just got out of their irons. I will always put them as an option for my bag. The thing that shocked me. I couldn’t believe how great. Zx4 felt. Easy to have zx7 feel amazing. Never thought zx4 to feel incredible. Super impressed
I have a set of the ZX5'S and love everything about them, with the exception of the fact that I can't hit them. The sole width is just too wide for my swing. My AoA is usually -2.3,and the bounce causes me to hit them fat. It's the same with the Taylormade Stealth irons. The sole width is just too wide. I hope this makes sense. Thanks
Do you guys have the old model or this new release? Because I also need a slimmer sole width for my swing. This new line has indeed narrowed the sole of the 5. It’s much closer to the 7 now. But I haven’t hit them. I end up needing to buy a more demanding iron (apex pro 21 right now) because that’s what I need for clean contact. But I could definitely benefit from the increase in ball speed by going to a 5. Up until now, I was thinking the new cobra forged tec looked like the best option in terms of tech and sole width but now knowing the Zx5 has slimmed down, it’s on my list again.
And to be clear, I’m a lefty, so the Mizuno pro 225 isn’t an option for me. Otherwise that would probably be the one that would have that Goldilocks zone of sole width and forgiveness/distance.
@@kaisersoze6685 I have the previous version. The sole width is 21.5 for the ZX5'S and 16.8 for the ZX7'S. I can't seem to find the sole width for the ZX5 Mk11's. Hope this helps you
Love the Srixon lineup. A bit of feedback on the new Channel name though.. When you get a notification on a device it says "Srixon Golf Uploaded: _____" or "Nameless RUclipsr Uploaded: ___ ", etc. You see what it's about in the _____. With the new naming all you get to see is Tour Experince Golf // A Club Champion Brand Upload.. or so, depending on device. It's too long to actually see what the content is. Which isn't the greatest. And I just clear it out more often because I can't or don't want to tap on it in that moment without knowing. I'm an avid channel viewer and commenter, and it makes me want to turn notifications off. I can't be the only one. 🤷
Srixon has nailed it with there irons . In my opinion they still have a ways to go with there drivers and woods . They are identical to mizuno in that all of there irons are exceptional but they can't compete with the big boys with the big sticks.
No adjustability kills them in sales , they are already fighting a uphill battle going up against Titleist, Ping and Cobra which all have adjustable hosels and Taylormade offers the adjustability in their Plus Titanium line.I like the bottom of the new drivers but the Top looks a little cheaper with that Cleveland matte finish but they killed it with their irons and the ZX4 is a huge improvement in the looks.
Titanium is always the best. It’s just more expensive to buy. Hence the carbon shift and why everyone wants quiet drivers. I prefer the louder the better. Like, who wants a quiet muscle car or a quiet stick of 🧨
@@wrath646 I lost 5-7 mph ball speed and lost 10 yards of carry and spin jumped up to 7100 from 6200. These stats off 7 iron comparison. Went from 128 7 iron ball speed to 121 ball speed. Went from 182 carry to 171 carry. The old zx7 I just hit so much better it was a different design entirely this year. The new irons are so much softer of a feel and go no where and spin more and apex height went up some much higher with the new ones for no reason. I think they absolutely ruined a perfect iron in the zx7. The MKii suck
@@brandonmackay9878 thanks for your comment. I hit irons with high spin, just bought 223s and was wondering if I should have hit these. Sounds like they wouldn’t work for me.
@@brandonmackay9878 oh wow, yeah. last year 5 and 7 are amazing. I just ordered the 4 Mkii coming from ping i200/g setup. new 4 is definitely worth it compared towards last years 4.

The Srixon woods and irons, matched with the excellent Cleveland wedges, is a potent linepu that does not get enough love.
Totally agree👍👍
Every Srixon video makes me think more and more how much I love the look of the ZX7 irons. Maybe next fit they'll be right for me

That was my hesitation in buying them
Likewise....I had to sell them but the feel was so daaaamn beautiful

Really enjoyed this video. Love the content, thanks for all yall do
Hit the MKII 5 LS today. Loved the shape, sound, and fell. Was not the best option for my swing but I almost chose it off looks and sound.
the ZX7 irons remind me of my Mizuno MP-64s, absolutely love them.
Ian, how in the world do you guys have only 204K subscribers. You have the best golf channel on RUclips!! Beats me!!
Drivers look great. Shame about the lack of adjustability on the fairways and hybrids though.
7:09 So with Srixon everything is geared toward the tour players. Interesting. Too bad I’m not a tour player. Those clubs look great.
They look superb
What’s the difference between the zx4 say 3/4 iron vs the utility iron?

Where is the Zforged 2 .... nobody is talking about these blades

Not saying ping Callaway Titleist or cobra is what hurts sales. It has nothing to do with adjustability when players don't even look that direction.
The jury is still out on the longevity of carbon fiber use in drivers. I don't think it will last.
So we are going back to the titanium days... Progress 😂
Not everyone is progressive. 😉

Traded my new MKii irons in right away and bought the old ones
