    I bought a set of Zx5 irons at Golf Town in Kitchener Ontario Canada. They took 1/2” off the length and took them down 1 degree on the lie. Should have done this years ago. Just love them! Never had that soft feeling when you flush the ball. Go out and get a set guys you won’t be disappointed.

    Srixon continues to propel the momentum from the ZX line from last year. The std deviations on these were absolutely insane! I currently have the ZX-5's in the bag and they by far the best irons I've ever had. So good for all handicaps and can even make combo sets...great job boys!

    I got fitted today as I was looking to replace my Radspeed irons as my game has improved since taking lessons. I blindly tried the Mizuno 923 forged, Mizuno 225 pro, Taylormade 770, Cobra forged tec and the Srixon ZX5 MKii & ZX7 MKii. The ZX line by far, had the best feel, dispersion, consistency and looks! I ended up purchasing a MK2 utility 3 iron (20 degree), the ZX5 4/5/6 iron with a 1 degree weak bend and ZX7 7/8/9/PW. I had concerns with seeing videos with the Srixon’s having low spin but my swing speed mitigated those thoughts quickly. I went with the XS 6.5 project x 115 rifle shafts over the kbs $-tapers 120 just due to the seldom ballooning shots the kbs provided. The Srixon irons are excellent, do not sleep on these irons, I am blown away and cannot wait to get my clubs!

    Loved playing the ZX5/ZX7 combo and nice to hear that they continue to positively. The ZX7 was my first entry into smaller players irons. I would encourage anyone looking to move into a more "players" iron shape to consider the ZX7 as they do not really look as scary as some of the other smaller irons. Some players think the topline is too wide (compared to blades) but I found them to be a great first move into better player irons and certainly not intimidating - almost like having training wheels as my game moved into the single digits. Also can't understate how good they feel on strike and that feedback has been essential to my improvement. Hard to beat that Japanese steel...

      I've got the pro 100 blades. Played blades for 20+ years.

    • @sampeluso7211
      @sampeluso7211 4 месяца назад

      @carls1205 went to the MKii zx7. They are about half a club shorter and better for gapping as I no longer hit my pw 156 of carry and they can gap with my wedges better. The spin retention is better. They launch half a degree higher, the spin is 300-400 more. They are great and excited to have them back in the bag. Seem to be easer to hit cuts and draws also. There are also clubs I would consider if you need more distance from your irons. These are in line with the category or players CB and are not a players distance.

    At 8:15 is shows that Mikey was hitting the ZX5 for the PW and ZX7 for the 5i. Isn't that backwards? Wouldn't you normally put the player's distance in the 4 and/or 5i? What am I missing here? Thanks,

    Did they discontinue the 900 series? Several years ago my son was playing Z945, at least I think that was the name, which I played a few rounds and strongly considered a set of my own. While I ultimately chose Muira’s , I really liked those Srixon’s. Much better than the various big brands like Apex’s, 716 CB and even the Mizuno’s despite my gamers at that time were MP32’s

    Juuust ordered the zx5 mkii 5-A with tour lite X shaft. Need help with higher trajectory and spin. On the fence about getting the zx7 from 9‐A. I'm around a 15-17.

    Didn't Terry Koehler invent the v sole that Srixon uses for the Ben Hogan irons and TK wedges, and the sole is on the edison wedges now.

    Very new to Srixon and looking to upgrade from my JPX 800 forged.
    Do i go all out and head for the Mach 2s or a set of the first ZX7s? Pricing diff is noted.

    Is the ZX7 still Endo forged?
    In the reviews I’ve read they feel more ‘solid’, not as soft?

    • @jordancalanchini3496
      @jordancalanchini3496 Год назад

      Yes endo forged. I think when they are saying solid it’s because they put some more mass at the sweet spot, so it kind of feels like there’s some more meat behind the ball

    • @kourt2469
      @kourt2469 Год назад +1

      Forging process isn't what makes a club feel soft. It's the type of metal being used. Virtually every wedge is cast (vokey Cleveland Callaway) and nobody complains about them being hard because they use a softer carbon steel in the casting.
