@@NEVER-LIFT Got it running very briefly but the ecu & cluster aren't communicating. Didn't want to run for more than a few seconds without knowing pressures & temps. Hopefully will be fully up & running in a couple of weeks. 🤞
Could someone with heaps of money built a super-duper engine that conformed to the regulations of Formula Atlantic or are the rules fairly strict on the engine builds? I could see 3D printed pistons or carbon/carbon pistons, titanium one-race valve springs, moonshot rev limits, titanium conrods, the list just goes on and on. On another note, I notice that the intake ports do not have parallel sides, which makes those rather interesting, as conventional (American) "wisdom" is to have an intake port that is strictly of an unchanging cross-sectional area and shape from start to finish, which "wisdom" I have begun to question.
Awesome video! I've had the pleasure of working with some guys who have used the Hasselgren spec engines(1.8L) in their Tarmac Rally cars in Barbados. 20v variant builds were good to 280HP Naturally Aspirated! I'll link you a video of one of the cars -> ruclips.net/video/ACU5shaIx0c/видео.html ...Thanks for sharing this with us. Looking forward to more uploads!
Your not wrong about the weldspeed manifolds but the head has been shaved down where the intake manifold bolts on so some custom work was needed, not to mention that the Swift 014 race cars engine bay is a little different to a ae86 so Mat had Hack at AH Customs relocate the throttle body to a more suitable location (it'll be a little more clear in the next video)👍
Trust me I wanted to use one but like niko mentioned the head was modified so I couldn't use a weld speed Also the throttle body wouldn't in an ideal spot compared to what we made, it's not the prettiest thing but it's going to work lol
I have 2 more FA motors coming in for builds in NA spec so you will see it soon enough, also going to be engine dynoing them so I will get niko to come film that
This project is next level!!! Every time I see this thing I start drooling a little. Quality video too Niko! Look forward to seeing the next one!
Cheers Jay, Mat and I were both saying it wouldn’t have gotten done in time without your help in the background👍
Very cool vid
Wow!! Incredible engine!! Can't wait to see the tear down and build up and the results of this awesome engine!!
It's definitely got some unique features inside, you're gonna like the next video
Your opinion doesn’t matter
Can’t wait to see how this turns out. Built a lot of these for Formula Atlantic so seeing something absolutely bonkers like this will be very cool.
Thanks man, we've got some really great content on this build so you won't be disappointed.
I cant wait to see it running.
looking forward to the build series... 👌👌👌
Thanks for sharing it with the world niko!
No worries!
No way it’s finally here!!! I can’t wait for this series 😁😁😁
Awesome,
Absolutely great video. Looking forward to the following ones. Can't believe I got an honorable mention 😂
haha thanks Billy. With your setup an honourable mention is well deserved.
How's the 86 anyway?

@@EdmondsBilly ahh that's fair enough. I'm super keen to see it running again👍
@@NEVER-LIFT Me too !! It's only been 3 years 🤣🤣
😍😍😍
Sik!
nice to see more people talking 4AG (5.5ag 8AG 9AG), even MotoIQ just did another 4AG build, for Cam sprockets I like my Kent Cams 4AG gears
I'm going to look up those gears, are they nice quility

Same motor from a Toyota Corolla 1984?
No way you got a Formula Atlantic in the shop!
I was just as shocked as you are 😂

@@danielcgomez WOW!! that car is epic, thanks for sharing👍
How to ruin a great engine.
Haters gonna hate, can you explain how it's been ruined I would like to know your thoughts
Just get a weldspeed inlet manifold. Best one you can buy for a 4age.

i would rather see how much power can it do NA with all out cnc ported and nitors fuel ect. sure enough thats also too much cost 😂
