For the love of god would someone please get an interview with this woman to get to the bottom of this. Also an interview with whoever made the name cards.
They’re Giving the lady excuses. There’s no way she was getting it so wrong for 10 minutes. And the very next person picked up saying the names correctly with no issues
Most of the names were pretty straightforward. An occasional stumble or bit of hesitation over an unusual name wouldn't be unusual, but this was constant. No excuse for this incompetence.
I’m sorry, but I don’t understand how even phonetically you could mispronounce these names. So, either she does not understand phonetics, or someone wrote the phonetics completely wrong!! Smh
The normal spelling of the names were right at the top of each name card .... with the phonetic spelling right below. It was impossible to accidently mispronounce Thomas or Molly unless you were completely illiterate. So unless she is completely illiterate then she had to have done this on purpose. Period.
I doubt this lady did this on purpose. There has to be more to the story and she just simply had no clue. It's hard to believe but I don't think the woman did it with any mal intent. Just completely aloof
@@Malhaloc Yes, and you can indict a ham sandwich! (But I am a big Dersch fan!) EXACTLY! All is forgivable if English was not her first language. But that doesn't seem to be the case. She clearly has an East Coast accent. Ugh. I gritted my teeth at a local employer’s “cattle call” recruitment when the HR person mangled every Hispanic name and several others. My reaction was the same as Thomas’!
why not name the announcer...oh right.
The last time I mispronounced the name Thomas while reading was when I was 9. And I pronounced it, "thaw-muhs".
Either this was abject stupidity or deliberate malice. Either way, this woman should never be put in front of a microphone again.
Fired immediately and never allowed to speak again
Dee ee eye here.
Someone get the name of the speaker.

When the NEWS says, "There must be more to this story!" As if it is The View, that is pathetic!
Not funny at all. That was disgraceful & disrespectful. A college illiterate!
She was handed phonetic spellings instead of the actual names, so it wasn’t her fault.

It was intentional! Sue the school!
For what???
You can't just sue a place bc they mispronounced a name! One must be able to show DAMAGES!!

We’ve been trolled America, no way this wasn’t on purpose.
Total embarrassment… the school and Administration should be ashamed.
If this was someone’s attempt to be funny, then it failed… spectacularly.
the anouncer needs to go back to elementary school

How embarrassing for that school.
First of all, why are they spelling this out phonetically evidently there was only one person who got the memo😂😂😂😂

It's not phonetic pronunciation it's black English just like the keel and Peele skit
