(I'm not sure which one) I think she would've otherwise read them clearly, as she said "Candidates for the Degree of Bachelor of Science and Nursing" cleanly in the beginning, aside from a mild stutter. There is a picture of one of the graduate’s cards. It has her name in big bold letters at the top of the card. Just below that is the phonetic spelling.
Did we ever learn who this MC was? Her name? Credentials? Relationship to the university? Photo?

It is insulting that the faculty staff member did not even know her own nursing students well enough after 4 years to know that her pronunciations were waaaay off. At worst, she was bestowing new arabicized names upon them as she pronounced all those students with those complicated names pretty almost perfectly. An adult would have realized that if the cards handed to her the names only had the phonetic spellings on them and not the names in plain text, she should have realized this after the first 2 incidents.

I don’t think you understand what phonetic spelling is, it can make it hard. Entirely the schools fault. There’s literally games for guessing what a word or phrase is from phonetic spelling, not as easy as you think
