Right. Don’t confuse Z i o n i s m with wokism. You would have to be one of them to do that propaganda.
“Harvard used to be a great place”, Jerry Seinfeld. You are 100% correct.
42 years old. The older I get the more I reflect on how many times someone told me, “just enjoy the journey,” and I didn’t listen. Please, young people, just enjoy the journey!! Life doesn’t get better once u get wherever ur headed!!! It’s just as easy to be happy now, as it will be then. U will reflect on the journey with a smile on ur face. You will miss it
You are so right. I was around 44 when I realized that there was no destination that was happiness. Happiness is a choice. Don’t give other people the power to dictate your mood. For me the realization happened when a discussion with someone (who was an a-hole) and we had a very contentious and mean phone call. It had happened in the morning and by 3:00 it was still front of mind. I thought to myself that the a-hole isn’t still thinking about the call, so why am I allowing this guy to make me upset. From that day forward I didn’t give anyone else the power to set my mood and my day. Then it dawned on me as I looked at my career until then. I had achieved all my goals professionally, yet I wasn’t happy. I realized there was always the next step will make me happy. But it never had “happiness” I thought I had. I read a quote from Martha Washington that said (I paraphrase-I find that people, no matter how high their circumstance, are always upset or mad, or find something in their life that made them unhappy, no matter what happened. She said happiness is a disposition that you choose, it doesn’t come from others-it is a choice that you make about what disposition you want.
My motto now is “choose to be happy.” I changed my life simply by choosing happy and not give others control over my mood. It takes some effort. You may have fake it for a while. But now friends see a different side of me, a side that they liked better. Instead of coming home and complaining about work, I made my self a source of happiness for my wife and kids in my family. I tried to always be positive or faked it. I went to a psychologist-that was helpful, but the main reason was that I chose to be happy. A few years later a cancer diagnosis happened. I received news in 2014 that I had less than 1% chance of making it to 2017. It is now 2024. I remained happy. I could be sick and sad and cry over my misfortune. However, I didn’t. I chose to be happy even though I was seriously ill. My psychiatrist, experts at MD Anderson Clinic, and my local oncologist were surprised. They attributed my survival based upon my disposition and the ability to keep myself with reading or learning guitar, or anything else that kept me distracted. I was not in denial, never was angry about it and rarely sad. Sure I still got mad when I couldn’t find the tv remote, spilled wine on the carpet and other life nuisance, but I only let it last a minute. I am happy I’m alive, when I die I will be happy. I have faith. God, my prayers and the prayers of others along with doctors gave me an extra 7 years. Things have taken a turn and I doubt I’ll be home to celebrate Christmas this year. Pain has increased, I can’t move like I used to. I trip and fall a lot, which does irritate me for a moment, but let it go. I have heard even a fake smile helps the body and brain. Do that until it is actually a real smile. Enjoy the journey of life, do not let others dictate your mood, and choose to be Happy.
That ain't not lie! oooo how time flies!
I knew, but I still didn’t enjoy it. (40 yrs old) But some of that wasn’t my fault, there wasn’t much to enjoy. I’m trying to do better with the time I have left. I know making a film is a stupid idea and won’t advance my career, no one will watch it, I’ll lose money, etc, but I’m hoping I’ll meet new people and have a memorable experience overcoming an incredible challenge (I’m not that skilled)… and just be able to enjoy that memory. I hate being all talk with nothing to show for it… so I guess it’s my small way of proving to those who know me, and to myself, that I can actually do something… and I’m not just a worthless empty shell of a man who does nothing. K bye, lol
You imply 42 years old is Old. If you’re living a somewhat health active lifestyle you’ve got more years in front of you than behind. I retired from the Air Force at 47 and started a new career and I’ll be retiring from that one this fall at 65 and looking forward to the next adventure. You are exactly right, it’s not so much about the destination as it is about the journey; yours isn’t half over get out there and enjoy it.
@@corydriver7634 Makes me (again, 40) feel a bit better, thanks for the encouragement, even though you aimed it at someone else, heh.

Yes, Ricky is an atheist, but he mocks himself and atheism just like any other “belief” system. What he does not do is preach atheism or protest to convert others to his beliefs. Our society has become intolerant of those who do not embrace the concept that all values and beliefs must be destroyed in order that no one is ever offended. They fail to realize that that kind of tyranny is indeed offensive to most.
Jerry says it like it is. The word 'privilege' has been worn out. I worked hard for my education and jobs.
What does that have to do with privilege ?
@@anderslarsson7426 Apparently the people on this channel don't understand what the idea of privilege is about and think that things you earn through hard work count as privilege. Something the privilege debate doesn't care about at all. It's about systemic advantages given to a populace on a race-based system. Like my grandparents got a cheap house due to war loans which my Black contemporaries could not have. Thus, I descended from people in houses (which is known to improve academics for example) while some of them did not even though their grandparents fought in the same war.
Cool, I did too. I also benefitted from privilege. Deceiving oneself about the degree to which you may have been advantaged is nothing to be proud of.
It does not diminish real accomplishments. It just means not taking credit for winning on a skewed playing field. Those of us who have made real accomplishments certainly wish we had done so without such privileges. But we don't play pretend.

Allowing biological men in a dress to compete against biological women --- 2040: OMG, we were so stupid back then.
Jerry spoke the Truth. The Truth hurts the wokers. Ouchhhhh!!!
Jerry Seinfeld did good for the united states of iissrraaeell. He is a Jew, so he is one of the owners of the USI, but are you?
u bstard u. like we are never ever getting back together. Ever.....i mean ever.

Those who stayed weren't all on his side. Sitting and doing nothing isn't praise. And clapping for the speaker is polite and some people are polite even when they disagree.
Flawless Victory! Beautifully done Mr. Seinfeld.
The more people like Jerry stand up and hold a mirror up to people's idiocy the better off we will all be... this is fantastic 👏
That's why we need comedians. They are the court gester who tells the King he has no clothes.
Imagine. Seinfeld. Groomer of children, the moral compass.
You mean Jerry The Groomer?
@@mithoviel That was Jerry Seinfeld, not bob Igor, Joe biden or any of the other leftist pedos you idolize ............
@@dog61 oh look, one of the embarrassments Jerry was referring to........ go back to wokeville boy........
He owes everything to Larry David.
Everything.
And he screwed a teenager in the 90's.

Just wonderful! Thank you Jerry... there is nothing wrong with laughing at stupidity, our own and others. Love from a proud Christian, American, Son, Father, Brother, Friend, and Neighbor. Daniel
I have been a fan of Jerry Seinfeld for a long time, not only for his remarkable, relatable humor, but recognizing our common education and growing up times in Queens and nearby areas. His voice is a voice of reason, he wisely provided those graduates with words that today’s youth HAS to hear and take to heart. Well done! And Congratulations, Graduates!🎓
And you were aware of his affinity for the idf and enjoying the lawn mowing?
If this upsets them just wait until they see how the real world hits them.
He didn’t say woke. He’d never use that word. He makes fun of people who use it. He’s making fun of people like you, and people on the left like you. The right and the left are two sides of the same coin. You just don’t realize it.
How are Hierarchical and Egalitarian politics 2 sides of the same coin?
And yeah making fun of the left is easier than you think.
Seinfeld speaks nothing but the TRUTH!!! 👏🏼💖👏🏼
Quality speech
WOW, Just to clarify, I have NEVER EVER been a 'fan' of Jerry Seinfeld but I agree with EVERYTHING he said 100%
Same here. I have not been a fan of Mr. Seinfeld, but this was 100% … dead on. ❤
I've always been a great fan of Seinfeld. Intelligent humour and humouristic intelligence.
My question to you would be "and why haven't you been a fan of Seinfeld? " What he says here is pure Seinfeld, nothing out of the ordinary for him.
Who TF is "NEVER EVER" a fan of Seinfeld?? One of the best shows ever lol
They never appreciated the wisdom of Seinfeld nor the wisdom of the Simpsons because they were perceived as the "other team" and they refused to listen to the other team.
GO JERRY. ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS !!!
Not privilege. Hard work
My son was and is extraordinarily proud of the State College he attended. When your college is named the #1 Party School by Playboy Magazine, being there 5 years for a 4 year degree is an achievement he still brags about.

All these years I never looked at it that way and now the term just don’t sit right with me man. You got that Seinfeld gene. I’ll spread the word about the term. It just don’t sit right with me no more man.

That’s gold, Jerry! Gold!
the Frankenstein Joke was golden, too bad the young people didn't get it.
What a lovely speech
I hope these young people were encouraged
Looking at that silly getup he's wearing, I have to wonder how many times he said "I don't want to be a pirate."
😂😂😂😂😂😂 love this comment!!!!!! 😂😂😂😂
😂 I was waiting for that punchline as well.
I'm 34 and I watch Sienfeld on repeat constantly. I never did as a kid but now that show absolutely kills me.
I'm watching it again, currently. Still hilarious! Top comedy shows, then would today be 'offensive'. 😅
As someone who used to program my vcr to record Seinfeld, friends, and Frazier every Thursday night I am so grateful there was no woke mob back then. We laughed all the time back then. We also didn’t have a mental health crisis back then because children and adults were allowed to enjoy life instead of pushing doom and gloom, racusm and white hote on every single man woman and child.
Spelling on purpose due to censoring
As a Gen-Xer, I saw it on TV every Thursday on NBC as it came out. It was the best night for TV (Friends was also on that night), and Seinfeld is one of the best sitcoms ever created. (Even though it isn't REALLY about nothing...)
Too many shows and movies now are sanitized by these embedded woke teams that screen all the ideas. The dialogue gets watered down to simplistic, unimaginative droning. Just watch Uncle Buck and compare it to Book Club 2 to get an example. We need to bring back true artistic creative expression, because right now it's on life support.
Well looks like the nazis erased my comment. Which is pretty weak when you see what I wrote. I used to set my vcr on Thursdays to record Seinfeld, friends and Frazier. Best night of tv. Had to record it because they were on thirsty Thursdays so I was out clubbing lol
didn't know seinfeld had such depth to offer on the ai question, very impressive
Keep it up, Jerry Seinfeld. You bring so much fun and joy to millions of people. Never be intimidated by the sad protesters.
Was never a fan of Seinfeld in the 90's. I am now.
unfrosted was funnier than expected
Jerry is the goat
So you're virtue signalling with what show you watch? LMAO you're no different than a performative liberal
It's funny to see people virtue signalling with what shows they choose to consume
Dude how didn’t you like Seinfeld back then
Not gonna lie, I'd be embarrassed to say I went to Harvard if I went to Harvard.
EDIT: Talking about the Harvard now - not the Harvard 20 years ago. Thought that was pretty self explanatory :D
I am a Harvard graduate and I’m not embarrassed to say so. I also don’t throw it out there in every conversation. if people ask, I tell them. It is, after all, just a school. America has built on the opportunity to succeed and to exceed. Take advantage of the tools that you have earned.
Or Columbia University or the other Wacom”woke “ universities.
Everyone who couldn’t get into Harvard feels the same as you. Which community college did u go to?
@@jaknap1 , how rude and haughty! Just because the person didn’t go to Harvard doesn’t mean they didn’t go to a good university or that they are not smart enough to get into Harvard. Besides, what is wrong with going to a community college or a technical college? What counts is doing something purposeful with your life and being a kind individual.
The unibomber was a Harvard grad, they churn out some winners
And i tought i couldn't like even more of Seinfeld. Go Jerry, THE REAL WORLD IS WITH YOU
How did people ever become woke? I thought lobotomies were no longer allowed.
Surely lobotomies do not ‘woke’ people up?
Define woke.
It's not the destination that matters, it's the journey!! Great job Mr Seinfeld 👏
And I would add: "It's a marathon, not a sprint"
Jerry is a Boss.
Jerry hit exactly the right tone here. "Work, and Love" make the world go round. Not money.
Woke students. Who are these guys?
What a great speech. Seinfeld, you’re a legend
Dr. Seinfeld.
Don't think this guy really understands what Jerry was saying.
"Thanks. What a crowd"
Jerry is AWESOME 😂❤
The loudest one in the room is the weakest one in the room. Ignore the ones the media wants to cover for shock value.
The ones who walked out, showed their extreme lack of good character.
Who else loves that his entire speech was a stand-up routine? 😂😂
His whole life is a stand up
That's exactly why it was brilliant. In the cadence of his standup, he conveyed important truths to kids who're graduating college at this time in history need to hear.

Privilege is EARNED.
Not given because you complained about it.
You confuse privilege with respect. You can be born into privilege just by the lucky draw of your birth parents. You did not 'earn" that specifically. Respect on the other hand... But I understand what you mean in your 2nd line.
100%
@@Rustie_za your talking about one single aspect or type of privilege. I'm talking about earned privilege. I was not confused. Just a little vague and heated😔 Respect is also earned, yes. But it can also come from a privileged position like you said. If you where born into a wealthy family that is your luck. But it WAS earned by someone in your family and you benefit. Your benefit does not degrade the earned privilege. It validates it! Well, that's what I think anyhow.

The ability to Protest is the Cornerstone of American Freedom. You don't have to like it, but you can't stop it.
Especially when people are being murdered in the thousands.
You might be surprised at what can be stopped. Remember the blackout of 2003.
very well said Jerry
I'm so glad he's got the balls tell it like it is
so you like his balls?
You know it’s a problem when a comedian isn’t funny anymore because he is telling the truth.
Jerry's speech is magical and spot on. No wonder why his tv series was a smash hit in the 90s. I would love for him to reunite the cast and continue the show with modern situations \ stupidity. The only two things that you need to pay attention to is work and love; With the experience of the journey that these reveal. I wish people would listen and learn from his speech.
The pendulum is swinging back the other way. Back to sanity. I hope.
