I've been to Zion a few times, always in July. It's a beautiful campground with breathtaking views. We always stay in Watchman campground because you can actually get cell phone reception there. Also, it gets REALLY hot in July 🥵 Best thing to cool down is go for a dip on the river that runs next to the Watchman campground. I highly recommend this park to everyone. I paid ~$32 a day to stay.
