Did the narrows. One very important part you left out is water levels and river current changes daily, especially in Spring. Hike can close for weeks in Spring or when they're are flash floods and changes yearly
@@vielka503 yup, I went to Ebikes Zion - Powered By Zionic. It's about 5 minutes outside of the park in Springdale. They have a bunch of options and parking for about $20. Super nice people too.
Living near by and growing up going to Zion all the time, I'm pretty amazed at how well you synthesize the information and share it...even when you are only visiting for a short time, great introductory to Zion and pretty important tips. It does get hot in the Summer, but anywhere the Canyon Walls cover, it does cover and shade...and though the Canyon walls do warm up, they provide a lot of cover...so the shaded hikes are where it's at in the Summer.
Great video, very informative. I want to go back there soon! The best time to hike the Narrows as I recall is around June or July. All you need is swimsuits, river shoes, and a day pack. Fun!
Hi Chris. Wish I had this info before doing a day trip from Vegas to Zion. I didn't leave early enough and had didn't get to enjoy the park as much. Definitely will spend at least 2 to 3 days to really explore and enjoy this beautiful place. This is the Ultimate Travel Guide for sure. Thanks for sharing and take care.
Great video! Glad I watched it b/c I didnt even know that the renting gear for the Narrows are only found in Springdale. We are staying at Zion Lodge. We might have to drive to Springdale early morning to rent items and head back to the lodge and catch the 1st shuttle to get to the Narrows at 7 😅
Just came back from Zion Park during the week from Monday and Tuesday in the month of mid July and the parking situation unlike what is spoken here in the video. You must get there around 5:30 or 6 o’clock in the morning to be able to park inside the park otherwise just like what he says you have to park in the town. So no matter what go in your car or ask somebody to go in the car with them to save some money because it’s only $35 per car but if you walk in it’s $20 per person. That’s probably the one thing that doesn’t make any sense as far as the pricing goes, but you do have to get up at the crack of dawn to be able to get a parking spot because at the time of this comment there’s construction in the parking lots
There's a small airport in Provo which might be an option for some. Zion is 3.5 hrs drive from there. My family and i took our bikes down there last year and rode from the visitor center up to the last shuttle stop.
Thank you so much for your work! I’ll come visit many national parks late August, do you know if I can buy a « general access » pass for all the parks?
Thanks for the video it was so informative. The road from the vistors center to the Temple of Sinawava is 7.8 miles if my info is correct. Was thinking about renting Ebikes to avoid the shuttles since we are going in late Sept. Do you think that is good idea?
do you have a guide for bryce canyon? I'm trying to browse it but I can't seem to find any.. Thank you, this is very helpful! I'm staying in Kanab, UT for my west coast trip this October, I live in Orange, CA and this will be quite a drive.
Hello. Thanks for the vid. Quick question 🙋! Is it 75 dollars or 35 to get in. I love your vids. But I was a little confused with the price. I heard 35 but on the vid it shows 75. Thanks 🙏
Even though it's most popular National park in the US. We all know that most of people outside US Heard about it because Fallout New Vegas DLC "Honest Hearts" and in game and in IRL it's look beautiful
I could be incorrect, but I have a national park military pass, so I get in free! Update: My wife and I were just there in June. If you want a parking space in the Park during the summer, get there before 8:00 am. The shuttles are great, however, you have to get off at stop #9, as well as stop #1. So make sure you plan your stops. Another hint, the entrance does not start charging until 8:00 am so if you enter the park before that you will not be charged unless you leave the park. I have a military pass so my wife and I get in free anyway. The cafe at the lodge is good and reasonable for the cost. Burger fries drink about $11.00, during nice weather, take lunch to the grassy area at the lodge area, sit under the very very large tree!
Zion was a complete bust for me. I’m happy I didn’t pay the 35 dollar fee. First day of national park week would’ve been nice to spend here but it’s inaccessible and inconvenient. No one really tells use where to go for the shuttle or where to park . You just have to figure it out for yourself. It’s really confusing where to go so I just gave up and drove to LA. Having come from Salt Lake City area what I saw of Zion kind of paled in comparison anyway
Sorry, this park is overrated and extremely overcrowded. Capitol Reef and Arches are both significantly better. Zion only has the narrows and angels landing...neither really impressive. The shuttles, which are mandatory, or a joke...super packed which is great after everyone has been sweating all day long.

Another National Park that we need to visit. Thanks for the info + video!

Looks incredible!
Zion is gorgeous. I haven't been there in years and years. Your video has made me want to visit again.

My dad took us on a trip to Bryce and Zion when I was in high school. Amazing! Great detailed guide!
this is an AMAZING series! We are visiting in December. hopefully we would be fine and not too much of snow.
Awesome.. yeah. I think December is usually OK with the snowy months typically being January/February
All I need to know for 1st trip to Zion right here - thank you for covering it all!
Happy to help!

Wow you covered every hypothetical question! Thank you so much!
Awesome! Thanks Julie!
Coming out of the tunnel at the end was amazing. Utah has a definite hue, especially the places you're visiting recently. Thanks.
Thanks Mark!
Thank you sooooo much for this informative and guided video!
Great information as we’re visiting Zion & the other Utah NP’s in September this year. Much more detail than I’ve seen in other vlogs - thank you ☺️
Glad it was helpful! Thanks!
Hi Chris love your videos! Another suggestion for lodging is Hurricane UT. I stayed in Hurricane. This year I’m staying in Springdale.
Thanks for the tip 👍
I just booked a trip here for October. I am really looking forward to it. Thanks for the video.

Would you happen to know if motorcycles are allowed to go where the shuttles go during the summer?
Thanks again!
No motorcycles... just bicycles

Come To Lake Powell, AZ in the summer!!!
My wife and I are visiting Zion, Bryce and Lake Powell in late Sept. Can you suggest some must see areas at Lake Powell.
We did the narrows (a little bit), without the gear. It was early October. That water was cold!
Brrrr

What date was this filmed? Winter? Whivh month?
Still aclot of people 😮
Between Christmas and New Yeara
Do I need any permit for narrows?
Not if you're hiking the "normal" part of it

How does it feel to be doing these videos in the canyon all by yourself without help from OC girl or princess?
I certainly enjoy the company.... but at least solo I don't have to worry about the princess falling off the cliff 😀
Maybe like that son and the dad with the goofy overalls you both and do the rapids!
Yeah. When she's a little older and taller 😀
Can't wait for her first big real adventure!
Never mentioned to much about camping in a rv. Not everyone can do expensive lodges. Is there campning
Personally me i like the tunnel.
So weird, not that many greens throughout the mountain.
This was recorded in December so everything green was dead for the winter
my son is handicap is possible hike good access ? ...electric wheelchair !!
Hi Marcello.. I think mostly the rim trail on top is wheel chair friendly
Isn’t the angels landing hike kind of dangerous? Some videos of other people doing it make it look a little intense for inexperienced hikers.
Yes... indeed it is
@@YellowProductions Good to know. I was wondering if it really was as bad as people say. Thanks!

Last time I went was in 2018. I will be going next month. If it’s pack I’m not doing it 😅
First say it properly. Say Lion. Then say Zion. Just like Lion. Thank you.
