    Thanks for the great recommendations! The Canyon Overlook was such a treat! As with all hiking in Zion, go early to avoid crowds, and heat, also to find parking! Emerald Pools was also great, start from Stop 6 on the shuttle, the bridge is under repair from stop 5.

    Hi Kevin, love videos and trail details, thank you! Just to point out, there may be a little mistake in case you haven't already heard. I'm here at Zion now, trying to list trails to visit. Some pics you show on the Scout Overlook (at start of Angels Landing) are part of Pine Creek Canyon Overlook at the East side of Mt Carmel Tunnel. I wonder if these 2 trails show views of the same canyon from the north end and south end(?) Just trying to make sense of the trails here since not all are on the map the park gives you at the entrance. Let me know your thoughts 🙂

      Any hiking boots really! But we just wore cheap shoes that we didn’t care if they got wet, they acted as water shoes. I used like a $20 pair of knockoff white vans from Target and i think bri had water shoes but a lot of people do it in boots

    Are there any long trails like maybe 4-5 day hikes? Somewhere we can camp and really enjoy the park?

    • @KevinEassa
      @KevinEassa  4 месяца назад

      I haven’t done any backpacking in Zion. But getting a hotel or campsite in Springdale for a few nights is a great way to get immersed in the park. Some longer trails I have heard of include La Verkin, and I know there’s one like 50 mile trail from Kolob Canyon’s Lee Pass to the East Rim, it traverses the whole park but I don’t know about campsites or backpacking options. Anyways I hope this helps!

    Hi Kevin, what kind of water shoes is the best for water hikng? Thanks

    • @KevinEassa
      @KevinEassa  Год назад

      Hard to say, I’ve never actually owned a pair of ‘water shoes.’ I typically use an old pair that I don’t wear anymore, or one time I bought a $20 pair of knockoff vans from Target and used them strictly for water hikes. I might not be the best person to ask about this one😅

    How hard is it to get to get a permit for Angel's Landing these days? I typed this right as I heard you mention a future video. LOL

    • @KevinEassa
      @KevinEassa  2 года назад +3

      So we haven’t gotten a permit, every time I’ve done it it was before the system. But a friend of mine just got permits last week pretty easy, so maybe as long as you don’t go in peak months you should be good! But the Zion canyon overlook is a great alternative if you can’t get it

    How this park gets ranked higher than Yosemite in reviews is beyond me. I do not understand the hype around it. Angel’s landing is ok and the Narrows is ok but nothing there is dramatic impact like Yosemite, Grand Teton, the Seqoyias, Yellowstone, Glacier, etc..

    There was some potential for great info with this video. Unfortunately,I got tired of rewinding to get data because the narrator was speaking way too fast and mumbling a lot.
    I switched to a different video
