I just threw an MSI RTX 4070 into a HP TG01 sff last month for XMas, to replace a GTX 1080 that had been doing _work._ Great little card, with a smaller footprint and drawing less power. Couldn't be happier.

The 70 series are always the prefect gpu to recommend in most generations. My first desktop gpu was a 2070 super and was amazing to me and still lives on in a buddies build.
Buddy I think it's pretty obvious that people dont come here to get an idea on how a 4070 performs. People come here to see how this specific model performs, and by that, what's obviously meant is temperatures and noise and whatnot
I have the RTX 4070 Super from MSI coming this week. However, I think I might take it back and get the RTX 4070 TI if it drops to $700. I got $65 in gift cards recently, the card I got was MSI Ventu X2 was $610. If the 4070 TI drops to $700, I'm only spending roughly $30 more with tax for a 6% performance upgrade over the Super. I doubt Nvidia is going to introduce the 4070 TI Super at the same price point as the 4070 TI. A card more powerful than 4070 TI I'm CPU limited rocking only a Ryzen 2 3800X in my 2nd rig.
I just finished build my first custom PC like two days ago but only using RTX 4060 instead because of my tight budget, pair with Intel i5 12400F, 16GB RAM + 1TB SSD Storage with the cost around $600, so far I'm really satisfied with this build perfomance, I know RTX4060 is not that good for everyone but for me who upgraded from my 8 years old laptop with i5 7th gen + nvidia GT940mx, this is massive upgraded from my previous laptop so I dont mind with this spec.
I just saw the Super version of this Twin Edge card on store shelves yesterday for $50 Canadian ($37 USD) more. I assumed this was it and got excited until I realized this was the non Super version. Weird timing to buy this card but probably should have given your viewers a heads up about the Super being a better option.
Definitely always interested in seeing how small you can go with the best components! I mean seems like this could work with a raiser cable and laid in front/on top of an ITX mobo that is watercooled?
I'm really enjoying my own 4070, which I stuffed into an Intel i7 Beast Canyon. Its the fastest card that currently fits, is covered by the 650w PSU and still has the no non-sense 8pin power. Its the sweat spot of the 40xx range imo.
It might be repetitive to you but some folks only watch Build content when they are planning a build and this information might be new to them. Also this non-Super GPU is hopefully going down in price soon and might be the best overall price to performance candidate, So its very relevant information regardless.
Good video.. BUT no one should be buying a rtx 4070 unless there has been a massive discount, the 4070 Super is $50 for up to 20% more performance and the 4070 Ti Super is about to be released very shortly, I'd wait to see what the pricing & performance is on it.
Some really small 4070ti’s were shown at ces just recently. Just about the same size as these!! I believe they were from msi. Those and that msi version of the founders 4080 super look awesome.
Dude in india the 4070 is selling for $640 for the cheapest 2 fan model and 4070s can go upto $1000 for msi ventus 3x. It will take like 2 months from now for the prices to drop.( which is i am hoping to be 590 for 4070 and 750 dollars for 4070s
I’m in the U.K. and just got the Super version of this card in a flash sale for about the same cost as the MSRP of the non-Super… £539, reduced from £589.
Im sick of hearing this everytime i say im going for a 4070. Dude it depends on the country, in mine because of the taxes the 4070 super is around 800 dollars while the 4070 is 700-600 and i can barely afford it. Its annoying to hear “why not just go for the 4070super”
Yes do a SFF build! I'm looking at this card and want to build a sff with this or the single fan rtx 4060 ti, but not sure. So if you could do a sff build with a amd cpu that would help a lot!
The size of this card plus the power usage proves that this is really a 4060 skew of silicon being sold as a 4070. Ngreedia has consumers by the balls and is squeezing as hard as they can

Hello there. I just have one question. I am not a computer gamer, but I would like to buy this card for video editing purposes. I want to know if the display ports (3) would support the 75Hz refresh rate that comes with the current generation of standard monitors. I intend to use at least 2 monitors max 3 I would really appreciate it if you could respond to this comment. Thanks
This hasn't been true for a while. Most SFF cases these days are designed with modern GPUs in mind, where the card can simply sit somewhere else using a riser cable.
Imo, anything higher than a 4060 Ti will just bottleneck the connector being a non-Oculink/XGM. Still, that might change in the near future, so you may be able to utilize its full potential
