- George Wildgust, 77, has Down syndrome and is defying the odds. Doctors initially told his family he wouldn't live past the age of 10. Now he's among the world's oldest people with Down syndrome. He was born in 1942 as the middle child of three siblings. His niece, Nikki Wright, credits his long life to his network of strong family and friends, and being independent. @@makealbertaamerican4889 Apparently Healthcare may play a part. I have a theory of my own. Since Canadians apologize at the drop of a hat that action in itself may cause a calmer temperament which in turn may extend life if but by a few years.
With all of that as a backdrop it makes one wonder why it is so many Canadians want to move to America. hmm 🤔

My aunt had DS and died at 60 she lived with my mother and i. I would recommend you enjoy and appreciate every day you have with her because you never know whats going to happen.

I believe if a parent has a child with syndromes or down syndrome or any other disability if you treat them like a baby all the time they're going to grow up like a baby but if you treat them as you would a normal child they're going to grow up to be normal.because there have been people with Down Syndrome get married

I have a special friend with downs. He is 55 he looks 25. I love him like my own brother. Every time I see him we talk about the same thing and he hugs me 10 times in a span of 2 hours. I’m so thankful to his family for sharing him with me. I love you John❤️❤️

Reminds me so much of my uncle. He's always had gf's too. He passed last December, 6 days before his 60th bday. He lived one of the most incredible lives. Did every Special Olympics event, ran with the Olympic torch in '96, was the first Downs person to be on a state committee and so many more accomplishments to name. I thank the Lord for sending down one of his Angels to be my Uncle. 💙🙏💜

@@lifegamechanger8572 I am a carer of his and in some ways he is like a toddler but in a lot of ways he is not at all. He can read facial expressions way better than a toddler can, he can express himself and his needs in a more advanced way and his emotional regulation is a lot more advanced.

I had a best friend named George and he also had Down syndrome, no one would play with him because he was weird and couldn’t talk. He needed his own personal teacher assisting him in every class. I hope he has a long happy life.

He is so lucky his parents kept him, back then the doctor told the parents to put them in a institution, these places were horrible. Thank God this isn’t aloud to happen anymore. WOW 77 that is awesome.
