I lost my beautiful wife and mother of our two precious teenage boys 6 month ago in a tragic accident. This helped me!!!b I'm so overwhelmed right now not only with grief but just everything!
I really appreciate this. Some of us don’t make time for therapy and or cannot afford it. I learned from this. I will pass along this wisdom (pay it forward). I feel more educated in living with grief because I happened upon this episode. I recently learned about compassion fatigue too. If you don’t know what it is, I implore you to look into it. There is so much knowledge and growth to be found through sharing, and being connected in this way. What I’m figuring out is that we have been lead for so long by people more trying to control us and give us this forced illusion of reality, rather than empowering us with what is real and allowing us to navigate through truth. We are now connecting on our own through social platforms and learning so fast. It can be turbulent terrain, however it can also be super empowering. This episode is an example of the positive that happens when we come together and share. Thank you.
I lost my favorite grandpa when I was 7, i was diagnosed with depression right after that. Ive now at 37 lost all Great Grandparents, all but 1 grandparent, a younger brother, countless aunts, uncles and cousins, along with friends. Ive grieved for most of my life. Its HARD!
I really appreciate how you explained grief is not necessarily a death of a loved one. Growing up when my mother got mad at us she would Hollar "Don't give me any grief!" Luv your show❤
15 yrs. ago my brother and sister-in- law lost their son right before his 2nd birthday. That phone call I received is still so fresh in my memory. You’re both right, time doesn’t heal, I feel those emotions from time to time. I’m from Guam and my family are so close, we treat each others kids like our own. Loosing my little nephew really did make us look at life differently, we value family, our children, our faith, and respect life and relationships with people even more. My nephew also loved Elmo, so every year of his anniversary we place an Elmo balloon at his resting place and we have a birthday bbq with a birthday cake and his picture right next to it in remembrance of him 😔 Our whole family on both my parents side and my sister-in-laws side always come to celebrate him too! Always so much food and esp. his favorite foods too.
Hi there ❤ i absolutely love your content and the way you are as a family and husband and wife. I know all the feelings you talked about, since i have lost my very beloved granddad in 2005 and my older brother to suicide 14 years ago, and some more... It is good to know that we all go through kind of grief and we are not alone with our feelings. May all our beloved ones we've lost, live on in our hearts and guide us our way. ❤ Looking forward to the next episode 🎉 Lots of love from switzerland ❤
This was beautiful and not spoken about enough. Incredibly relatable. Being reminded it’s ok to take the moment and grieve was something I, personally needed to hear. ❤thankyou
I just want to stay in case no one else has told y'all thank you for taking the time to do these podcast. We know that your time as a family unit like with your husband home is not like a regular job so taking the time to sit down and record and make these for us is amazing! Kudos to you both! I always feel for you when you talk about how hard it is being away from your husband but still having to do life and all the regular things because that's what is fair for your children as well as yourself oh, I wonder if your husband will ever shed light on how he feels being away from his family unless you've already done one and I missed it
