    @TaLoCc , we can only assume your Ebay camber kits are bottoming out on the fender. The Skunk2 Pro Series Camber kits for the DA chassis are designed to clear the fender so that they will not bottom out on the inside of the fender, which would should solve your problem and allow you to go lower with out having to worry about bottoming out. This is a situation where millimeters can count...

    @shortyboy1986, "regular" or OEM control arms do not offer camber adjustment, if that is what you are asking. If you are comparing other companies camber kits to our Pro Series camber kits, take a moment to review the video again, there is a lot of information that could answer some of your questions in the video... feel free to call our customer service also!

    They may, they may not. We only offer and recommend replacement ball-joints for our own camber kits as we have not tested our components with any of the other manufacturers parts out there.

    So there's more clearance in between the camber kit and the strut tower housing but I feel like the longer ball joint would then cause clearance issues on lowered cars and get nearer to the tires.

    Would be nice if Skunk2 would make more products for the Nissan. Particularly the 350Z.

    It depends on how low you go and tire size. If you plan to slam the car and want a tucked/flush look, you will most likely need front and rear camber kits.

    Do you have any links to where we can get ball joint replacements for this kind of control arm?

    You guys would make so much more sales if you weren't so over priced. Everyone loves the products but nobody wants to spend all that money. I'm sure you guys make tons of profit already. I just feel that by lowering prices you would be happy with the amount of sales coming in

      Like Costco... They don't jack up the prices but instead they make money of the amount of sales! If the prices were cheaper and the quality is good, you would have 90 percent of people purchasing your products and that would make you rich!

  • @Skunk2Racing

    @primo914, Sounds like your car was VERY low. At that point avoiding contact between the upper A-arms and the body of the car would be greatly affected by the spring rate your vehicle was using.

  • @Skunk2Racing
    @Skunk2Racing  12 лет назад

    @primo914, something like this can happen for a few reasons. Spring rates that are not able to support the height of the vehicle, shock stiffness, being too low or a combination of everything. What suspension are you running and how low is your car?

  • @Skunk2Racing
    @Skunk2Racing  12 лет назад

    @TaLoCc, we are not sure what type of vehicle you have, what camber kits you are using or how low your vehicle is. Therefore it is tough to give you any feedback on the issue you are encountering. There is not space to be gained in that area of the vehicle, in our opinion ever millimeter counts.

"i do plan on getting skunk2 DA camber kit btw" but what i was saying is the tip of the camber bottoms out on my car,idk if that problem are only on DA's

    can you guys design a camber kit with the pro series design but with a nice medium stiff bumb stp block on top, sorta at a angle so it will dampen the impact of the arms? or maybe even a bump stop to be bolted on top

    I'd like to know whats wrong with the tubular shaped camber kits and how they "fatigue" or "fail". It would seem to me that pressed sheet metal would not be as sturdy as mandrel bent and welded tube steel......especially the ones with reinforced bolt plates on the slots.

    • @vanquishstorm3806
      @vanquishstorm3806 5 лет назад

      This is something I would also like to know, stamped steel vs a tubular design.

    • @qleap99

      So old, I know, but I just saw on another tutorial that upper arms are not subject to the majority of the suspension forces. The lower arms are, which is why lower arms are so much beefier (look at them). The upper arms main function is to facilitate and guide the up and down movement of the damper and wheel assembly during suspension articulation, so they don't need to be quite as reinforced. Just thought I'd relay this info.

    Pro series junk..
    I love spending almost 300$ on control arms only to have to go to the hardware store and change all the hardware just to keep your pro series junk shit ball joints from moving.
    For the price you would think ttheyd actually be quality.. HA

      An Amazon.com reviewer stated, that the rubber boots are prone to tearing (doesn't equal Honda's OEM quality) and you need to use SilGlyde lube, to prevent squeaking ball joint noise.
