The force was not with them.
Then why did they win the war?
@@MattMerica76 plot purposes buddy 😆 come on your smarter than that
@@sonoftheempire550 If this is usually how skirmishes ended, then the Plot couldn’t exist as there would be no adequate force to carry out the war. As the plot DID occur the way it did, it implies that the opposite is true.
It's very rare to see the Empire win against something since everyone has plot armor, I was really happy to see this.

@@SS-ij7gb i like to call that era well balanced between the two factions
@oblivion369dark4
Yeah, some Imperial forces still used Republic vehicles/starships, but rarely. More so in the Outer-Rim
I used to think something like this, but the more I learn about actual real history, the more I come to realize that the stories we tell are by those who are lucky enough to just barely survive. The number of “Real life plot armor” and “Then they decided they were the main character” instances in just WW2 is insane.
So, I think of it less as plot armor and more as “The lucky ones we hear stories about.”

And it's not even a mile long star destroyer against a fleet.
Just a cruiser VS 2 corvettes and a frigate.
When plot armor is taken away, it actually becomes clear that the Empire was far superior to the Rebel Alliance
@@davidty2006 More like 2 corvettes and an even bigger corvette.
@@ATShields935 The pelta is classed as a frigate back in the clone wars so it's really a frigate.
I dunno, that Pelta survived a lot of point blank turbolaser shots for supposedly lacking plot armor :P In Clone Wars and Rebels Peltas tended to not exactly be the toughest ships
Saw this on Eckhart's Ladder; quality workmanship
@Peter Caballero star wars is often full of kinda questionable battle tactics. Not to mention, this creator is still learning and improving, and as with all artists we shouldn't be too critical unless he asks for constuctive criticism first.

I love how you modeled the Star Destroyer after the original sketches. I haven’t seen that done before. It looks like one of those early 20th century battleships.
It’s made by a RUclipsr named ec Henry
Incursor-class by EC Henry: ruclips.net/video/pZLAtGu3-98/видео.html
This is a perfect example of the "Less is More" philosophy. There are three ships in the short film, and the remarkably small Star Destroyer is utterly terrifying and seems to be unstoppable and relentless. On a sidenote I was just about to check for Rebels footage to figure out how Peltas handled themselves in combat and this was a superior option. I do look forward to more of your work.

2:49 God, I love how the original Incursor concept looks more like an actual warship here. Not just the quality of your work but just how the design looks like real life navy warship. The camera angle you chose there sells it so well, fantastic job.
Judging by the armament of this ship, I'd say it would be the Empire's equivalent of a Monitor. Not the biggest or most heavily armed warship but good for those small tasks where the larger ships are too much.
Love seeing A-wing. My favorite ship. All the fighters felt like they were taking a leisurely cruise rather than a heart pounding dog fight.

Your work represents, hands down, the most well-thought and faithful representation of what exists in the heads of many fans as the 'definitive look' of Star Wars space combat. You've managed to capture in computer graphics such an incredibly authentic look and feel of practical models and effects, from the texturing and lighting of the models to the incredibly satisfying explosion and smoke effects from destroyed fighters. And you've honed in on THE BEST portrayal of Star Wars shields I've seen to date; no flashy glow effects or shield flashes; just expertly rendered dissipation of the blaster bolts on impact; looking like a plume of vented plasma. It's a notoriously tricky thing to properly convey visually, and billion dollar companies have tried and failed to capture what you have here. I really hope the people in charge recognize that there is a vast pool of untapped talent right here on the internet for them to find.
Ehh, I dunno, the explosions were kind of cheap. Too much smoke, not enough debris, and they kind of hung in place where the fighters were destroyed, instead of retaining the momentum. This film was overall cool, but I felt the explosions stuck out like a sore thumb.
2:31 should’ve tried spinning you noob.
Yeah, that's a good trick.
Now that's podracing.
That woulda been totally wizard.
In pilot lingo they call that Barrel Roll.
DO A BARREL ROLL!
This one seems definitely better then your previous work. Tho I do think that there should be considerably more blaster fire coming from the capitals as it kinda feels like they are only firing one gun at a time (tjis may be due to render reasons i guess?) Plus for about 10 seconds at the 2:00 mark the starfighters disappear even though in the next scene they are fighting around the destroyer. Overall tho great animation!
I actually kinda liked the lack of laser fire, it reinforced that this was a smaller variant of star destroyer with only 2 major turbo laser batteries. Also, when the fighters destroy one you can hear the rate of fire go down and it feels like they actually did something substantial (which would not have been the case if there was a ton of turbolasers firing like on an ISD). Still I could see a few anti-fighter lasers being added to the mix and still having the same effect, as long as they were quieter and audibly distinct from the turbolasers.
@@zobblewobble1770 to be fair, the original trilogy looked much the same even in the major fleet battle in RotJ. prequel trilogy had the same feel in the big battle at the start of Revenge of the Sith. so the visual style is correct for the inspiration.
of course, the battles in the Clone Wars series and in Rogue One have a lot more volume of fire shown, so results will vary.
The ending was as good as rouge ones... blown away
@Zobblewobble The slow but steady rate of fire from the main guns feels more disciplined and more menacing in my opinion. I think there’s something about the implied deliberation.
"Gentlemen, I believe it's time we tested our escape pods."
I appreciate that this Incursor class cruiser seems to be set up as a villain of your short films. I imagine in the third part we'll see a rebel force striking out against this vessel!
This animation is incredible! It does however need more emotion and situational stress in the voice acting. Just feels like the people are safe in a studio, not in a desperate fire fight for their lives
I respectfully disagree. If you listen to Navy fighter pilots in a dogfight, they are as cool as clams in their chatter. They are trained to communicate without emotion to get the job done. Quite impressive to listen.
I think it’d be better without dialogue
@@sentino68 There's several combat recordings where pilots from all branches are stressed and it can be clearly heard in their voice.
Voices are a bit inconsistent I feel like they need more mixing, other then that pretty damn brilliant
Seemed to me com traffic should've been more cluttered, almost panicked, multiple voices in the heat of battle.
And the "space smoke" was distracting.
So overall I'll rate it four stars!
"Can anyone cover me?"
"NO! AND STOP ASKING!"
"CaN AnYOnE CoVEr Me?!"
"U LIGIT JUST WATCHED EVERYONE DIE"
I love the fact that the ships look like if they were real models. Awesome job.
That Star Destroyer is amazing - it looks like it was inspired by WW2 destroyers with their sensors and radars
Well it is modeled after the original concept art/model
SO COOL ANIMATION!!! I'm getting nerdgasm.
I have enough Flight Hours in X-Wing, TIE Fighter, and X-Wing Alliance to know this. All that A-Wing needed to do was drop shields down to 25% and increase speed by 50%. TIE Fighters cannot keep up with an A-Wing with all power to speed. A TIE Interceptor could though...
I think it might be an interesting tactic to sit in an escape craft in the launch bay of a wreckage of your starship and wait for the imperials to leave.
Wow! Fantastic job, everything looks fantastic! How long did this take to create?
Impressive work
@@GrandAdmiralThrawn.7th_Fleet Most impressive.

This is amazing, but i think the turbolasers hiting the shields should have a better effect with more of an impact.
But still, this is freaking amazing.
Like the first scene. With white flashes would've been nice.
I never would’ve thought to see a rebel Pelta-class
This evoked more feelings from me than the entirety of the disney attempts at movies. Magnificent.
Lmao if you genuinely think this is better than the Disney films and series, you're delusional.
@@AlaskafishStudios Whatever. Disney is a failure. Their reboot canon is pure trash.
@@AlaskafishStudios agree with you, people really like to over exaggerate
The panic in their voice when they're all doomed, loved it ❤️
I love the look of this, it looks like you’ve ripped the star ships right out of the movies! Two things that I think would be cool additions to the fan film would be: A) when bombs or ion bolts hit shields the plasma morphs around the circumference of the shield barrier and the shield kind of glows like in the movies; B) when the star fighters get blown up we see debris still flying along with inertia of the ship instead of being covered by smoke. But your animation already looks exceptionally awesome and I can’t wait to see the next one.
Ah, a refreshing example of true imperial might. Excellent work.
we are so starved for good quality star ship / space battle tv shows or movies...I wish we could see more fan driven / independent shows focused on the space battles/space ships
I've loved the Incursor ever since EC streamlined it (before, really, but...), and seeing one in the last video was a delightful surprise.
Seeing the ship in action in *this* video? Perfection.
I especially loved the attention paid to anti-fighter weaponry and armor. The sweeping shot at 1:18 might be my favorite moment, but the whole thing was a treat to watch.

Isaiah Highley no they won’t be. You have no clue how the industry works.
@Kuiper 2104 Actually I know exactly how the industry works, and small time animators like them kickstart their careers in things like this. Now obviously working on star wars movies is an opportunity they most likely won’t get, but my comment was meant to be supportive and encouraging to these talented few. Next time you wanna be a sarcastic douche bag, make sure you know what you’re talking about, because quite obviously you are the one who doesn’t know how the industry works if you think that these animators aren’t going anywhere in their career.
Absolutely delighted to see EC Henry's Incursor Class in action, excellent work! Although there are things that can be improved, already the quality is breathtaking! Keep on trucking!
What kind of wizardry is this?! It looks like a Star wars film, but unlike Disney it's actually good! ILM! Hire this man!!!!
Beautiful work, this makes me want to play the 90's Tie-Fighter game again! In that game, if you had Space Bombs at your disposal, you were unstoppable. Sometimes I would purposely fail a mission, then just keep on blowing up Star Destroyers until the Empire finally took me out.
The female pilot VA reminds me EXACTLY of Aeron Azzameen in the game X-wing: Alliance.
This is amazing, thanks!
The shot at 1:20 is my favourite, I’m striving to get this good myself
Amazing character development. The resolution between the two main character's interpersonal conflict really hit home for me.
This is spectacular!! The texturing of the ships looks so incredibly accurate to the og trilogy kit-bashed models.. its amazing. This is the Star Wars I miss 👏
Eckstoo sent me. I'm glad to have stopped by. I shall watch your career with great interest!
Really like this, though the smoke seems too much like it's in an atmosphere.. the way it billows and expands.. not like it's in vacuum so much. Please keep making these.
I don't think space IS a vacuum in Star Wars
Ya, eck Did a theory in that. on
The way the smoke reacts and blows around was my only small nitpick as well. It looks very realistic if it were in a sky but in space, or to be more consistent with other Star Wars it would be a bit different. Looks okay when it hits the big ships but when The Little Ships just disappear in a cloud of smoke that seems a little different. But what an excellent piece overall! So much better than a number of big budget movies I can mention!
Well to be fair, in “Dark Disciple” they quickly mention how “the oxygen from inside the ship feeds the fire in space....”
Star Wars' space isn't a vacuum. Sure, you could go to a Legends source like the X-Wing novels- but I prefer The Empire Strikes Back. In this movie, Han and Leia step out of the Falcon wearing oxygen masks- not spacesuits. Evidently, they were confident that there would be enough pressure out on an "airless" asteroid to keep their lungs from exploding.
So happy to see the Incusor Class animated! I loved the thing so much I introduced it to a dnd game I've been running lol.
Finally, the Empire that wins even if it's a small victory
And the animation is really good 👍👏
Nice job guys, great animation, and that Star Destroyer was the definite star of show, looked beautiful and very nicely lit, great work all round guys.
Glad you enjoyed it!
@@SkyForgeFilms hard not to.
I LOVE the effect of the lasers dissipating as they impact on the shields. I always like shields being completely invisible because when you see them under fire they feel powerful but they also feel like they could break at any time and you're left in suspense wondering which laser will break through.
I remember watching Rogue One and seeing a pilot making a run on a star destroyer's shield bulb and his x wing's shields cause TIE fighter lasers to dissipate behind him. idk why I just really liked seeing that. I guess because it's actually cool to see shields actually have an effect.
Awesome animation!!!
Big agree! Disagree with Eckhart on that one, shields should stay invisible like always.
@@renaissancenovice7202 there are some beautiful visible shield effects in star wars for sure. I was a fan of the Raddus' shields in TLJ being visible because they were a highly advanced and different kind of shielding to what is commonly used (hence them being too tough for the enemy to break) and the overall effect was interesting - I think I remember the shield kinda denting and reforming as if it were taking a hugely powerful shot but recovering instantly. I really liked it.
I think they do work well in star wars video games too, to let the player know how the enemy craft is holding up-which is what Squadrons is doing, and I know Eck's played a bunch of that.
But for smaller ships and ships with normal shielding, and in more cinematic things, I agree that invisible is best.
@@LouseGrouse I absolutely hated the visible shields in TLJ. Yes Anakin's N1 had visible shields in TFM but that was on a personal scale and was more a sheath than a bubble. It was very pretty but definitely a divergence from what we had seen with capital ships so far. I really like the effects on the Ebon Hawk in KOTOR where you see a bit of localized field right at the blast point. Ehh. Then again, droidikas have persistent visual shields so it may just be a question the Star Wars community will need to rule on.
@@renaissancenovice7202 The fandom has already ruled on it: There are different types of shields.
I think that was the planetary shield bubble, since ISD shields are usually invisible.
The bomber showed up, literally had me saying "shit it's vader" before i realized what ship came out lol
I like how the acting was like people playing a video game. It keeps the violent nature of war on a Star Wars level.

Out of curiosity - why couldn’t the Pelta just jump to hyperspace? Does the incursor have gravity wells?
The Pelta probably had it's hyperdrive disabled by ion cannons.
It also could have been damaged in battle or broken down due to lack of proper maintenance. It is possible since that's an older ship.
with power to the turbolasers, laser cannons, and shields it might not have had enough reserve power
Flying though hyperspace isn't like dusting crops, without precise calculations we'd fly right through a star or bounce to close to a supernova and that would end the trip real quick.
