I think Dave Weckl is a much better drummer today than he was 30 years ago. Is it amazing? Improving never ends to him.

I like how they're not really even looking at the audience. Like "yeah, we're just here getting down in the most awesome way and you can be happy just to witness it".
Chick played with Miles... Miles was never interested in playing front-forward facing the audience.

Patitucci is a machine. Saw him play a few months ago w some younger players and it was incredible how he held everyone together and at the same time elevated their playing. And he was sight reading the whole time.

Dave Weckl has always been one of the greatest drummers. Dave Weckl and Vinnie Colaiuta have set the bar very high and kept it high since the early 90s (IMO). Anyway, I just love seeing Dave Weckl Chic Corea and John Pattitucci together. They complement each other really well.

What is this? The most powerful-creative-fast-dynamic-jazzy piece of drumming ever heard in my 35 years of playing drums. I have no words, only emotions. Dave just improves while time is passing.
Since the first time I ever heard Dave playing drums with the Chick Corea band I thought he’s without a doubt one of the best drummers in the universe .He always sounds like 2 players in one and is still growing stronger every year

Three guys just having the time of their lives. The joy on their faces in contagious! And Weckl just continues to re-define what it means to be a drummer.

Eric Marianthal is such a beast on sax. I saw him live for the first time with Gordon Goodwin's big phat band and he through down some amazing solos

That was the day that I went to watch the concert and I got Dave's autograph
30 years ago Dave won best recorded performance for Got A Match at the Modern Drummer awards if I recall. It was fantastic back then. Now it is into a different league.

Theirs no one world's greatest drummer. Every drummer has his or her own style. Dave happens to be one of the world's greatest.

Dave's as good as ever. My son actually took a drum lesson from him about 17 years ago. I got to see his home recording studio! What an amazing setup.

I just found out Chick Corea passed away. I was hoping Chick Corea would perform with these guys when covid dies down. I will always remember him playing the unison riffs with John, Eric & Frank & especially Chick's improv jamming to Dave Weckl's solo with this tune "Got a Match" RIP Chick Corea

innovating drumming, effortless and sound very Davy like! the usual but in new form.....simply beautiful, a professor on drums not like many drummers that are great too but not trully how a drummer should be, Dave for me is the proper reference on how drumming should be.
